I never fully understood why "Ruprecht" was in the movie...if they wanted to con her out of her money, why would they want to frighten her with a "special" brother?

This is so amazing - actual comedy movie making. If this was made using a crop of any of today's "top" comedians (think ham masters Will Ferrell, Ben Stiller, et al) this wouldn't be a carefully crafted ruse, it'd be a fucking road trip buddy movie about Ruprecht (Ferrell) and Lawrence (Stiller) only Ruprecht would be real, Lawrence would be a failed professional and they'd be going cross country to reunite with their estranged Dad (probably John C Reilly) who owns a sex shop.

In addition to the toilet paper hanging out of the toilet, the other nice small detail is the obvious cooking fire that happened on the small range (plainly visible in the china breaking scene). That small detail made the entire scene that much more priceless!

When I first saw this, I was still a kid and appreciated the slapstick. I mean what kid didn't like the thought of destroying priceless ceramics or peeing at the dinner table? Now, I'm in my late 20's and definitely appreciate the verbal banter! Enjoyed this scene and the Hotel Suite scene. The ending is a riot.
