nice playing...seems like a selmer SBA but, make no mistake the horn ain't sh*t without a good player! ......"body and soul" is the standard of standards
Man, I'm in love with his tone! It's big, full, bright but with a hint of darkness. It reminds me of a cross between Dexter Gordon, George Coleman, and Michael Brecker.
Actually, Tony is a P. Mauriat endorser - but this horn appears to be a BA or SBA. It has the BA/SBA octave mechanism and no high F# key. To my knowledge Mauriat does not make a horn without a high F#.
Check out the individual key guards on the bell. It's not a P. Mauriat. Also look at the octave mechanism on the neck - it's a vintage Selmer. Probably an early SBA.

Tony wasn't endorsing P. Mauriats in 2005. He became a P. Mauriat endorser sometime in 2007-2008, so he's definitely not playing a different horn.

I am highly pleased with this individual rendition, Body and soul is on everybodies menu,
because of Key of Db then Bridge in D. I think the composer hardly anticipated what platform for solos intros and cadenzas he masterly had erected
