dear ppl i have spend alots of money on this f...king knifes, love the blade, but all the screws keeping falling off!!! benchmade won't warranty it, only in oregon. so i am stuck with missing part and unsharp blade! p.s. bought my first one in 2000! so yeah i am little mad!!!! they should repair everything for free, since it cost so much!
I have the first knife in the video. It is the presido ultra. I have it in all black and half serrated. It is one of the really good knives in the black class.
U.S. made is cool long as they keep the prices reasonable. Kershaw can produce reasonably priced, U.S. made knives. No doubt they should keep making the higher-end stuff too, but with only a handful of knives under $100, I'm not able to own as many Benchmades as I would like. If I'm gonna spend $300+ on a knife, it's going to be a custom.
@wcropp1 If you spend ONLY $300.00 on a knife it surely wont be a custom.
Knife prices are WAY up. Sole authorship knives are through the roof as well. I honestly can't think of a single maker who sells any knife for less than $400 and way up from there. It's really getting out of control with a new steel every other year being better than the old ones. Sad state of affairs for us who think $300.00 for a knife is insane.
if you only buy USA then they would have to come home. I know its hard but thats called buying power. and at the end we get jobs back home.. ;-) I love it
Just when I thought they were moving more production overseas, they go and do this. Awesome. I will buy some Benchmades this year for this reason alone.
Hopefully spyderco (and other American companies) will consider a similar business plan.
Yea! Good job Benchmade. I am in the market for a new folder... I know who I'm buying from now.

Ruffled feathers? no.. I don't care what you do
But I felt it was worth addressing your incorrect statement against a good company

@Zulu1380
Really?, you should read the current news more
But even when they did have some lines made overseas.. they made more knives here in the US than some other companies..
If you are going to compplain abut a company NOT making product here, you can find a LOT worse offenders than Benchmade..

Awesome! I hope this is a trend - companies moving manufacturing back home.

True that. That is the one downside to products that are made here.

Very cool. Too bad other countries have stupid knife laws. It would be a great U.S. export.
