Growing up in the 80's guys use to wear Cavaricci's (probably misspelled) and parachute pants and the girls had big hair, half tops and alot of make up. MTV use to play videos and you couldn't wait to get home to watch them. Now at 37 I flip to MTV and it's reality shows, even VH1 doesn't show videos. I know times and taste in music change but in the 80's the artist performed because they enjoyed it, not for the money. Well, most of them.
Jeanette Jurado's vocals are just on top-vibrant and so full of energy. Although, I also like Ale's original version(Alejandra Lorenzo/Sandee aka Sandra Casanas/Laurie Miller version of the group Expose(originally called X-posed)she added some of her nuances and with more of a breathy take on the lyrics.
fantastic song and vid...reminds me of the time I borrowed my older brother's id to get into the Red Onion in Marina del Rey...gettin' buzzed on those kamikazes! oh nurse!
Wow, now this is what I call the jam!! Long live freestyle music...its really the best. Totally reminds me of junior high...sigh. Music sux ass today enough said!
I like how the the one point where begins to sing "I'm at the Point of No Return" sounds almost exactly like the "Let's Hear it for the Boy" melody...not that that's a bad thing!
En Argentina la única radio que recuerda estos clásicos es FM Federal 93.7Mhz. Las demás jamás las escuché pasar este tipo de música que por cierto es de lo mejor.-
Fantastic! They dont make music like they used too!

I heard somewere that this song was dedicated to all those who suffered the massive influx of AIDS from random gay sex in the 80's. Is that true?
