wow, havent heard this song since i was a kid. i am 40 now. reminds me of my dad sitting outside in the back yard with a bud. He passed away 5 years ago. He was not a drunk he was a great father and husband to my mom. never cheated on her and loved her till he died and always came home. i miss him dearly. he would have loved my husband. My hubby turned out to b just like him. i am crying now lol just thought id share.lol
This song was arranged at a sound check at Houston's Star Light Ballroom. That night we played the song people we sing and crying during the performance. A week later we recorded the song, the rest is history....
