Steel has a very high thermal conductivity. Concrete has a very low conductivity. Because heat will always transfer from a hotter object to a colder object, nature is in a constant state of heat sink. The exterior of the building wants to be ambient temp.

You need to learn about combustion. There is no possible way those fires got 1000*C unassisted.

How can ordinary demolition reduce a building into dust? Rubble piles are about 12% of the original building height.
