  • miss the old dashboard

  • hey I see you have the black lines going across the screen like me, just change the screen setting to gaming it will get rid of it

  • lame game

    hehehe

  • Vizio is a decent brand if budget is tight.

  • it only boots up fine because of the fact that the xbox360 is only meant to run 1080i. no matter what it says the xbox cannot i repeat cannot transmit in 1080p. its on their website man.

  • @stormninja4 I don't believe that for a moment. I have a 19' Vizio with HDMI hook to it with my 360 and the info on the TV say "HDMI 1080p" on the TV as I switch to it on the console. Explain that?

  • @KopyKat81 My 720p Samsung says 1080p sometimes too, but that doesnt meant shit

  • @stormninja4 xbox360 actually is capable of displaying 1080p over component. the console supports it and the component cables have enough bandwidth. however, its a feature that microsoft prolly does not like to publicize because very few TVs accept 1080p over component (manufacturers pressured by hollywood to limit 1080p to HDMI). MS just doesnt want to make a promise to the customer that can only be fulfilled under very specific circumstance (you need to own just the right brand & model of TV).

  • Yeah this is kinda weird. I noticed this when I had my component cables hooked up to my 42" Vizio also. I don't know why it can say it's at 1080p when it's only a 1080i set. But now I have an hdmi going from my xbox and the 1080p option is no longer there. I think it's probably just a little defect, it's nothing.

  • u need a hdmi for 1080p, components can only get 1080i

  • Its been already said by another user... The VAST majority of games on the PS3 and the 360 can not render games at NATIVE 1080p (1920x1080), Many games are rendered at 720p (1280x720) or sometimes even LOWER then that, then its upscaled to whatever the res your TV is at. The processing power needed to render at full 1920x1080 or even HIGHER then that like 2560x1600 (sometimes called 1600p) is only available on the PC platform since GPUs and processors constantly evolve every 6 months to a year.

  • do u have to have hdmi to set it to 1080p

  • no......

  • This isn't even real 1080p. It's just getting upscaled to 1080p, which will make it look slightly, or in some cases, horribly worse.

If you have a 720p native resolution set, you're better off running games in that resolution because pretty much 95% of PS3 and 360 games use 720p as the native res anyway.

  • Upscaling doesn't make the picture look worse. That would be stupid.

  • If you're just watching movies or TV shows and it's getting upscaled, you won't notice it much, but any image that gets upscaled will never look as good as the native image.

If I played a PS1 game on my PS3, it gets upscaled. PS1 games' resolution was 320x240. That getting upscaled to 1280x720 or 1920x1080 will NEVER look good. It'll just look like ballsack. Same goes for PS2 games (640x480 or in some cases 720x480) without progressive scan.

  • Then blame your PS3 dude. The thing doesn't hardware scale, it software scales which is alot worse than those you find on DVD upscalers and even the ANA upscaler on the Xbox 360. The ANA upsacler doesn't just strecth the image, it reproduces and scales it to what a 1080p picture would look like. So Xbox 360 games that run 720p can still be displayed in 1080p with no AA issues or much pixelation. The difference will only be seen if you play on a large projector.

  • I already knew that. The 360 still hardly ever does true 1080p, just like the PS3. Most games on both systems barely manage 720p, let alone 1080p. Hell, a lot of the games are at sub-HD resolutions like 600p; See: Saints Row 2, Call of Duty 4, WaW, and MW2, etc.

Anyone with good eyes can still look at the image and tell it's been upscaled. You also have to take into consideration the viewing distance and whatnot.

  • Yea ofcourse it's not going to look as good. It's not true 1:1 upscaling. But unless you compare them side by side you are not going to really notice a difference. And even if you do the difference wouldn't be note-worthy.

Either way, upscaling makes the picture quality BETTER when done RIGHT. TV scaling is mostly just stretching, which is why PS1 games look bad on a 1080p screen. The PS3 doesn't actually upscale them, your TV does thus causing your problems.

  • Most Xbox and PS3 games are rendered in 720p or lower to maintain high-detailed textures, good frame rates, and Anti-alaising. They can output 1080p, but alot of sacrifices would have to be made.

  • I already knew that. PS1 games, like I mentioned, send a 320x240 signal. If you tried to play a PS1 game on a PS2 using an HDTV, you wouldn't even get the signal unless using composite cables. The PS3 does all the upscaling for PS1 and PS2 games, not PS3 games.

This is still irrelevant to this video, since it's still not even real 1080p. It's not even a normal 1080p signal, since the game itself doesn't use that res. The 360 handles HD better than PS3, but my point still stands.

  • I wasn't challenging your main point about HD gaming. But you made upscaling sound like a bad thing.

I would rather have my games upscaled to 1080p than the native resolution just being stretched on a 1080p screen.

  • Ah. Well uh...yeah. I agree?

Well, take this ice cream. Dunno if you like ice cream, but here it is anyway.

  • Um...Thanks?

  • okay i did some research "class 720p" cannot got anyhigher then 720p the singnal you see is from your xbox or ps3 telling the telavision thats what it is.

  • and most xconsole games dont even play games at a native 1080p anyway , this is why consoles fail at graphical power , its all about Pc gaming !

  • mine is a 37in and does he same thing for my ps3 i dont get it

  • I was able to do this on my 720p projector. Weird. Maybe it isn't actual 1080p the 360 is outputting. I flip back and forth and it all looks the same to me. We're being fed LIES!!!

  • its compressed resolution , my svga projector can go up to 1024 lines from 600 lines , but the projector still only has a 600x800 display , same with TV's , a TV can be 720p but itll try and do 1080 lines but it dosnt have 1080lines , itll be compresed

  • keeping secrets from us???

  • also , how can a 1080i TV display 1080p content ? thats impossible no matter what cables u use , if the TV's controller card is only interlaced then it wont feed 1080p content to you , explain please if im uncorrect

  • you know how most hdtv have a service port when you upgrade the softwere you can have a full hdtv if your tv is upgradable

  • true , a 1080i tv has all 1080 lines , just depends on the firmware/hardwarew installeld on it

  • most new ones do , cheaper older ones dont , my one dosnt cas its some cheap non branded crap lol , but still 1080p anyway

  • uncorrent 1080i send more info then p so i dont know either HAHAH!! thats my guess

  • right i like me 80gb 2009 ps3

  • I have a VX42L with a broken screen. I can strip the guts (minus shell and screen) and sell them to anyone who would like spare parts for there VX42L.

You'll be set for years if your screen never breaks... Send me an offer if interested. Or on Ebay they go.

  • okay people if you know VIZIO is made by sony..... so stop saying its a low brand tv..... fucking idiots

  • 1366x768 is ok but edges look bad.1920x1080p is better.its best to have a full hd tv and not an upconvert hdtv.also with a high contrast ratio and at least 5ms the lower the better.also lcd never plasma or projection

  • im getting a HP 2475W monitor which is a 24 inch and its got a resolution of 1920 by 1200 going to look amazing!

  • What is the point of this? The set doesn't have the pixels to reproduce 1080p. Its a 1366 x 768 tv. 1080p HD images are 1,920x1,080.

  • i have a vizio 42' 1080p its awesome for cod waw but my parents wont let me play on there anymore

  • xbox will never EVER get true native 1080p games, so why bother trying to put it in 1080p?

  • ur just a ps3 fan boy

and xbox can run 1080p idiot

  • xbox can run 1080p my fucking ass. Name me any xbox games that run 1080p, and i mean TRUE 1080p resolution. Lets see halo doesnt, it doesnt even go full 720p. Gears 720p at best. Yup no sign of 1080p games anywhere. Only way your gonna use that 1080p is for movies online. The movie-on-the-go service that M$ talked about at their shitty conference. Not for physical media though, cuz M$ scrapped the dead HD-DVD format LOL.

  • learn ur faqs gears is a 1080p dick face

    halo i know its not

and yes ps3 3 has more 1080p game but who gives a shit the only is garbage thats y its free

  • oh really gears is 1080p? Upload the gameplay for me then, because when my family friend's son brought over his 360, i tested its resolution with that "hdmi" cable he had and put it on 1080p on the settings provided and it looked fucking ugly. Compared to 720p, 1080p on xbox 360 is shit resolution, you must be high if Gears runs true 1080p, you deluded idiot.

  • if im not mistaken gears of war is no 1080p its actually 1080i and gears of war 2 is 1080p. if you set the 360 to 1080p and run games that where originally 720i or p they get unscaled making them look kinda crappy. Some hdtv's scale better then other it depends on the tv sometimes.

  • ya but really are you gonna play gears on 1080i instead of 720p? I know your not suggesting this but cmon i would rather play it on 720p than a crappy 1080i resolution. It's what ive been trying to tell ignorant callofduty4oreos over here.

  • I would have to say 720p. well i did some research on 1080i vs 720p, ya the video quality is definitely better if you can get over the fact that its a slightly lower resolution. but its much more smoother and you don't get the interlaced artifacts. Plus im sure its easier on the eyes.

  • oh and wtf is "who gives a shit the only is garbage thats y its free". Sooo, "the only" is garbage? Fix your comment up, your comment is garbage. If your talking about PsN with your retarded comment, PsN works fine like Live, maybe even better because it doesn't use Peer2Peer. It's called "dedicated servers" something that M$ shouldve done with all the money they scammed off of you for purchasing live every year.

  • dedicated server are garbage if psn goes down u cant even sign in to your account

and omg i messed up my spelling wow

big deal your still wrong bro

xbox and ps3 can both play 1080p

and like i said ur just a ps3 fan boy

cuz thats all u got 4 chrismas now u think its the shit

ooohhh and by the way b4 u say u have an xbox guess what i have a ps3 2 add me4 gods sakes

    XboxLIVE Acoount = Mossad x

    PSN = Mossad323

  • i dont care anymore everone who wasted ther little 200 dollars on a xbox 360 is just dumb you pay for online that you already have you getting coned the resaon why i spent my 440 dollars for the ps3 is because you get what you pay for i v seen so many people bring ther xbox 360 back and got a ps3 because they didnt like that is had no bluray ,and it had red rings

  • i purchas live every year cuz i can afford it not like other ppl

  • right these dumb ass xbox 360 lovers got con for many for online that you already have they just dumb 2,000,000 xbox 360 got retun to m$ for red rings that just funny

  • exactly

  • if you have gta4 my psn is jon2004 add me

  • and the xbox STILL makes more profit than the ps3 , lmao , ps3 is a utter fail and sony know it

  • ps3 is not a fail my ps3 has never broken on me i bet that like your 3rd xbox360 it was on the news how the xbox 360 was failing so you cant lie they made less profits on the normal xbox the elite made lesser why you think they droped the price so earily m$ failed

  • more xboxes sold than ps3 lol , blu ray is already deads before it started , ps3 games load slow as hell so they have to be installed to load faster because blu ray sucks for read speed , it has a CPU not designed for gaming , it has a worse GPU than the xbox's , oh the list goes on

  • you right more xbox did sell and tryed to be return but still faied xbox 360 is a peacie of garbage man i like haw the youtubers made video of them smashing there xbox360 they have hddvd and they stop making hddvds a long time ago

  • well yup , nbut still amazes me how the xbox is stil as popular as ever :) hell , i dont even like the ps3 or xbox , i just have a wii , but im just saying wtf i like cas its saturday afternoon i been awake for 24 hrs and im on my 6thh bottle of cider

  • true it opular because it affordable for people im blessed to have the money to get my ps3 and hdtv

  • as im not a fdanboy of either consoles , id say they both par with eachother , altho the xbox shud have had wifi built in , even the pesky DS does ! o well ,

  • How can you say "ZomG Lolol Xbox sold moar then PS3 kthxbai" when the 360 came out an entire fucking YEAR before the PS3 did? Only fanboys who are desperate for more points in their argument pull that cop-out.

Games like GTA4 load slow as hell for everything, not PS3. CoD4 and 5 load up literally in seconds, especially in multiplayer. Blu-Ray in PS3 is 2x speed, which is still on par with 360's what, 8x or 12x speed?

Worse GPU? *COUGH* Killzone 2, Uncharted 2, MGS4.

  • WTF u banging on about ?

  • xbox is still in the stone age the shit cant play blue ray dispite how meany xboxes have failed and crashed its still winning and the wii is beating every compedator with jump and stand on a box wile you wave a stick

  • stone age ...for a start , its spelt blu ray . not blue , secondly , the wii is weaker than the xbox so that must be dinosaur age ? secondly , blu ray movies arent popular and its dying already due to digital downloads and hard drives are cheaper than blu ray discs , blu ray is another failed format by sony TBH , just like UMD and minidisk was

  • this is coming from who owns a gaybox

  • never heard of a gaybox and def dont own one , and yet u do know what a gaybox is , something u wana share with us all ? lol

  • Comment removed

  • how the hell do you come to the conclusion blu ray is dieing anyway this is coming from a guy who films his cat eating TP HAHAHA!! what a lame

  • no fucker buys blu ray , thats why, and whats wrong with filimg a cat ? u soind like a bore with no life

  • so your counting everone on this planet does not buy blu ray discs huh that's some statement..get a life you puke

  • telling me to get a life ? lol for a start your comment made no sense as i could not read past the awful grammar, you trying to say i checked to see if everyone on the planet does not have blu ray ? i dont think most ehtiopians do , infact most people in the world DONT have a blu ray player ,so its fail , digital downloading is the future and even sony knows this

  • and u def need to chill , all 3 consoles r good , but PC is the best for graphical power , obviously because a good system costs more , u get what u pay for , i doubt blu ray will ever be popular on the pc , ill never buy a blu ray drive for mine unless they cost £15 and the games are same price as dvd's

  • i can care less about my grammer only chicks pick that bs up, im chill un till you start cussin and downsizing, why are you going by pounds where are you?

blu ray is cheap, like you said you get what you pay for, you pay for the best you get the best. unlike xbox and the failing fate.PC is beond consols even if you install linux on a PS3 HAHAHA!! but a pc cant play MAG! but ive invested in the i7920 project should be done by Oct 22. launching of win 7

  • i bring up grammar to u so i can understand what u are trying to say to me , otherwise i struggle to reply to your comment , and as for BD prices , pc wont need BD simply because games are installed , iit took like till 2005 until most pc games were on dvd from the cd, until bd drives r as cheap as dvd drives r now , most pc games will be using dvd till like 2011 , and by then bd cud be dead

  • I hav the exact same tv and size 720p, except plasma =/

but it also runs all modes like urs- 720p, 1080i and 1080p.

    does it really comprehend 1080p?

  • i have VW42L 1080i with ps3 and hdmi cables can i switch my set to 1080p

  • Wow,I care not for the 1080p or i issue, quite frankly, but the black level on your TV looks amazing! Is that accurate? I've never seen an lcd turned on,that doesn't let u KNOW it's turned on,especially when displaying a black screen. That's great!

  • is there really a differance between samsung, sony an vizio? whats your opinion?

  • vizio is a lower end brand. Samsung and Sony are considered better for the brand slapped on them.

  • OMFG u guys are idiot sony and vizio are the same brand dick face

  • im gettin a vizio 22" with 1080p

  • if your paying extra for that 1080p. it aint really worth it on a tv that small 40' and bigger are best, but if its in your face like a computer screen then ya go for it

  • Hes right. Its a fact on any LCD bigger than 40" I mean I'm only gonna get a 32" 720p and it'll be just fine.

  • 22" THAT is TINY! The tv in my room is 47"!

  • if the native resolution for your tv is 768x1366 then thats what it displays because it has fixed pixels. it can receive 1080i or 1080p but all signals are converted to native resolution. anyone who tells you otherwise (floor salesmen at local electronics store) is wrong!

  • lol i just ordered a vizio 19 inch 4 my PS3

  • lol me too is really good for both movies and games

  • its 1336x760p not 1080i

  • 1080i is worse than 720p ......lol :P

  • that 360 is loud!!!

  • though the TV says its displaying 1080P, its really not, its receiving a 1080P signal, but its converting it to 1080i

  • really cause i have a plasma thats doing the same thing and i have it hooked up to an hdmi cable and u can see the difference between the 1080i display and the 1080p it looks clearer on the plasma when it switches to the 1080p it's weird i have a vizio 32" plasma i mean it's a new one 2 so idk if it's doing what u said or not but like i said i can see a clarity difference when switching back and forth to 1080i and 1080p on my plasma thats meant for 720p-1080i

  • That is impossible. A 1080i HDTV cannot support 1080p, and component video cables max resolution is 720p, (1080i is less than 720p). The bandwidth of a 1080p picture is too great for a component cable.

  • no not really i have a 1080p tv and i have used the component cables before for my xbox

  • vizios good in hd right?

  • among the best

  • okay

  • Your Tv isn't playing at 1080p, it is playing at 720p. The Vizio Tv just accepts the 1080p signal and downscales it to the Tv's native resolution, which in this case is 720p. You should put the xbox's video output back down to 720p or 1080i to reduce the chance of motion artifacts while playing xbox.

  • Isn't all Xbox 360 games only in 720p?

  • even if they weren't you can't get 1080p through component cables, which are all 360 supports.

  • the elite and newer 360 with the 60gb hdd both have hdmi inputs

  • No..the new 20GB Premiums had it too..but for now all new Xbox 360s have the HDMI.

  • I have a problem, when i display my xbox in 1080i on my 24" monitor through HDMI, it has major anti aliasing issues. Is it just me or is something wrong? And yes my monitor is 1920x1200

  • 1080i, 1080p who cares. like kids comparing their dicks

  • xbox 360 supports up to 1080p

  • rofl. shows what you know:|.xbox 360 handles 1080p which almost any type of connection (HDMI, component,VGA) unlike ps3 which only supports it through HDMI

  • Xbox 360 supports 1080p upscalling for DVDs. and will support 1080p gaming as longs as the game supports it. but most games are rendered at 720p

  • 1080i, 1080p who cares. like kids comparing their dicks

  • both 1080i and 1080p are good. 1080i is MUCH better deal and you still get GREAT picture quality.

  • this is shit MGS4 is better

  • agreed!

  • vaxick is correct. Most newer displays accept up to 1080p, but the TV can only display 720p...so the tv downscales it. So in short, its not 1080p. But 1080p doesnt matter on screens less than 50 inches anyway.

  • i had the same thing happen to me with my 37 inch Vizio hdtv. the weird part is that i can set my 360 to 1080p with component cables but not hdmi. hdmi only lets me set it up to 1080i

  • my LG does that too but it 1080/60p WTF is that----XBOX 360

  • Do you have some Dead or Stuck pixel?

I have HDTV LCD22" but when I'll buy big screet i go plasma couse i got stuck on my lcd and i hate this LCDs bug so annoying.

  • mine does the same thing

    42inch plasma 30000 contrast ratio

  • so you got 1080p how is that contrast?? cheap black colors i was going to buy a vizio but contrast sucks. For around $1000 hard to find a lcd or plasma that does 1080p and have great contrast you need $2000 and this being in the 42" deparment. I myself ended up going with picture quiality rather then 1080p. samsung plasma 720p has 15,000 contrast ratio. i think vizio does 2,500

  • For the confused, his TV is able to accept a 1080p signal and downscale it. I used to have a Toshiba 26" set that was able to do this as well and I must admit it looked razor sharp despite the scaler having to squeeze down the picture.

  • yeah i know, but most tvs will jsut go to a blue screen, this tv does not, so i wanted to show it.

  • componet cables cant go 1080p maby its just some how goin back down to 1080i

  • component cables can display 1080p. It isnt the cables its the connection. Samsung has some dlp tvs that output 1080p to component. My 2 year old Dell monitor can do 1920by1200 through vga cable which is older tech. Most of the time its the connector and not the cable.

  • how can you play 1080p with component connection? on 360 component gives 1080i tops, HDMI gives 1080p and VGA i think gives 1080p too. the TV is lieing to you mate. it probably downscaled it back to720p or 1080i depending on your native setting

  • just a small update, got a new 360 with hdmi connection and i am no longer able to set it to 1080p :P

  • haha

  • swear 2 god i did the same exact thing and it worked on both my ps3 and 360 my wii is only 480p though

  • you are wrong....that tv can´t support 1080p resolution...that is like 720p...becuase that tv has a native resolution of 1366*768 lines.

  • I have the same tv (mine is a 32 inch) and I changed my setting to 1080p on my Xbox 360 and the only thing I honestly noticed was that the picture seemed to be closer and I could definately see farther. It says 1080p on my tv too and it's a 720p set but I think that the display only shows the resolution something is putting out. I don't think it's in 1080p. I can't tell the difference above 720p anway but that is my hypothesis as to the reason why it displays 1080p. Could be wrong though.

  • eh, I can't tell the difference.

  • same thing happen on my 32 inch vizio with my 360 but strangely i felt the picture quality look better at 720p

  • No game has a native resolution to 1080p. Halo 3 is not even to 720p, it does not prevent it from being beautiful.

  • loositude you are wrong theres several games for both 360 and ps3 that run at 1080p native and as for halo 3 not being 720p how about if i tell you it uses a double 640p frame buffer to accomodate all those fancy effects(would that technically be 1280p??) then you will know there was nothing preventing the game to run at 720p but a developers decision and besides most people wont even notice the difference thanks to the 360 awesome upscaler.

  • eeehm , most games are 1080p alot are 1080i too but halo 3 can go 1080p , why the hell would they put it on the box then .......!?

  • Yeah! most of my PS3 games are 720p. so i'm satisfied for 720p HDTV. well, for me.^_^

  • it's still not displaying at 1080p though, it just downgrades the signal to fit your screens resolution. i know, my 32"hdtv does the same. my 22" can display full 1080p mind and the difference in quality is serious for gaming, not so much on films though.

  • 1080i means interlaced showing the pizels in groups rather 1080p satnds for progressive scan and it shows pixels therotically every pixel at full hd.... So my choice would be 1080p

  • 1080p is better.

  • whats better 1080i or 1080p?

  • theres barely any difference.....

  • There really is no difference but 1080p is bettera i si for interlaced 2 flashes and p is for progressive one flash of one color for better picture

  • look at a video on youtube called 780p VS 1080i HD explianed it might show up in thge screen next to you

  • thats not possible, even though it is possible to process a 1080p signal through component, most tvs dont even accept a 1080p signal through component

  • 1080p CANNOT be processed through component due to HDCP. Only VGA and HDMI can.

  • thats just for blu ray and hd dvd movies, so for games you can use component and still get 1080p cause they dont have the hdcp for protection like hd movies do..

  • It's a limitation of the Xbox 360 itself; 1080p can be output only via HDMI or VGA. I can't speak for PS3.

  • actually it can.....your tv has to support 1080p through component. Some samsung models do. My dell 24 inch does, but 1080p only matters 50 inches and above. It is scientifically proven the human can not see a difference between 720p and 1080p....above 50 inches is negliable. 1080p is a marketing gimmick. I can run PC games at 1920x1200 which makes it 1200p....but it really doesnt matter. 720p is still great.

  • It's a resolution difference man. It's 360 more lines. How is that not different? If you're talking about visual quality, yeah sure, maybe your eyes won't orgasm with 1080p, but it's still bigger.

  • really? I didnt know that(sarcasm)....come on so you can honestly tell me that a 42 inch 1080p looks a whole lot better than a 720p of the same model? And the picture doesnt get bigger the pixels get closer.

  • Huh? Yes it can. Your TV just does not support 1080p through component.

  • you are wrong man. 1080p GAMES can 1080p MOVIES cant because of hdcp. My friend has a Samsung 56 inch dlp that supports 1080p through component. Says it in the manual and confirmed from a Samsung tech.

  • the funny thing is, 360 and PS3 games are ment to be displayed in 720p, that's their native res.

  • whoa! dont just say things as if its a fact. fukin console'd display depends on the game. it is not meant to be 720p. in fact, ps3 is meant to be displayed at 1080p..

  • It is fact. Dumbass. The PS3 can do 1080p, but most games are native 720p so they look best @ that res.

  • Yup, he's right. Some 360/PS3 games can run at 1080, but most run at 720p

  • i have a vizio tv and own a sony blue ray dvd player. It has it's HDMI connections and my xbox has it's HD A/V wire. and they both show an amazing picture for such a cheap tv. People who spend thousands on tvs are idiots.

  • flunkie91: a fucking 37 years old that watches dragon ball. Very childish!!! I bet you are still using that GE 19" rear projection. So STFU already...

  • he's almost a 40 year old virgin that watches anime!

  • LOL.. That is a good one :)

  • hahaha, your comment actually made me laugh, can't believe i come across your message.

yeap, its funny how he's 38 and still like DBZ, well, i'm 23 and still like it too, its okay i think since DBZ is very popular in Japan.

and also the author of DB/Z was Akira Toriyama who was older than him anyway.

also, at 30, i think i'll be starting my own manga drawing.

  • repeat yourself much?

  • that 360's loud as!!!

  • if you use a hdmi cable instead, will it show 1080p?

  • i'm thinking of getting the vw42 or the vx42, anyone know the difference in the two? and does this brand have burn in problems??

  • had vx42L for a while, nothin broken, i use it watch blue ray movies, its very good

  • I have the exact tv and love it, I chose it over many higher brands and have to say my 360 through the 5 component hd cables with the switch on the cables on does dysplay true 1080p I bought this tv because of this fact from ign gaming and several other reviews that rated it the best gaming tv 2007

  • All the people that got suckered into the 1080p camp should know that unless your HDTV is 50' or more 1080p is pretty much useless and a waste of money. Crunch to all of the 1080p fanboys.

  • eehm hell yes it does , i had a 22 inch lcd and now i have a 24 inch yes it s just 2 inches bigger , but it does give me full hd , and hell yes i can see mojor difference , from 1680-1050 to 1920-1080 doesnt sound much different but i can see much much more detail and the it all looks much sharper and more colourfull!

  • *suppose to....

    sorry...i didn't finish righting me 1st part
