  • The dovetail key was used a lot in Arts & Crafts furniture workers such as as Barnsley and Gimson. It will strengthen any long-grain rubbed joint. Butterflies were cut not quite like this, although there are still some valid points in this 'Why-bother' Video!

  • You reference a famous designer who uses natural imperfections and then use a piece of wood with axe cuts in it. C'MON

  • Wow, a lot of nasty immature comments. If you plan on critiquing, provide constructive feedback instead of just whining.

  • my dad make a wooden cup thirty years ago and his mother stained it. He thinks it might be dangerous to drink out of for that reason. what do you think?

  • @HandsomeSasquatch Yes it is dangerous still. not because its wood but because of the chemicals in the stain. stain is not water resistant. if you seal it first then you could drink from it although its still not ideal. you should buy him a cup cheapskate : )

  • Cool Vid.

  • wrong, hacks!

  • you failures don't deserve that work shop

  • Anything that is different spurs interest. If we continue to follow the Japanese we will go down just like they are doing now. Why don't we try being leaders rather than followers. The leaders in our corporate industry don't know how to lead. They just follow.
