I was on 4th grade when this came out. I didnt heard about them then, neither saw the video. I would listen to it for the first time in 2001 or so. I liked it. And I still like it. And I would have liked it in 1996.
@lhmarsden agreed. Altough I think it may have something to do with the lead lacking the ability to sing. I still think they rock, been to 15ish of their gigs. Good times, good times.
This used to be the theme song for a local show in my area called "Friday Night Fu" when I was in junior high and high school. They'd air old kung fu movies and give them a variation of the MST3K treatment, playing humorous-yet-fitting music during various scenes and saving the commentary for just before or after a commercial. I'd try to stay up and watch it, but sometimes I'd fall asleep... It was awesome.
saw them live in Norwich at the waterfront... Its a really small venue, holds about 300 people... Ash played this as the very last song of the encore and the place went mental! me and my GF ended up at 2 different ends of the building! I haven't moshed like it in years!
Awesome song. Discovered this Band with my twin sis when we got the soundtrack for the movie, Angus when we were 10. This song kicks ass and my and twin are on a roadtrip right now jamming out to it. Love the 90's. The singer is hot ;-). Xoxo!!
I've never heard this song but was intrigued after learning that the cover art to this was eric cantona and his kung fu kick at crystal palace which again have only learned about today. not a bad song though.
saw them live in Norwich a few months ago and this was the last song they played in the encore.. i've beeen in some Mosh pits but the place went crazy! magical!
There's a real huge difference between someone bleeding at your feet and the sense of victory in knowing that you will allways know what will be & what to do about it-in that it's much richer to know the future than to commit acts of violence in the present- so this song captures a real essence of "kung fu" in that the total act of victory is allways in preventing a crisis to begin with & not being swallowed by nonsense!FOR IRISH IT'S SPOT ON!
Wow, i finally found this. I remember seeing this on 120 minutes on mtv and i bought the rumble in the bronx cd for this song alone. this song reminds of of riding my skateboad to nickel city, Walkman blaring, meeting my ex there, and doggy f'ing her in the dirty bathroom, then playing capcoms aliens vs predator. The good ol days. What happened? Damn, I'm fucking old now (27)
@ahk408essj I had the album on cassette and this was the best song! 27 is not old! I turned 40 this year! Still can play football against people half my age and run rings around them! Only the next day I am in agony!
that's what i meant, but ghost9909090 comment about "why the Brits make good sound tracks"was typical English statement!if you plant bombs in N.Ireland your Irish,if your good at anything your then called British!
Yes! When Rumble in the Bronx first came out it had this music video after the credits (in addition 2 being played over the blooper reel). When I got a later copy, it was gone! Happy 2 C it again...
@badjohnfaglie yeah, i remember renting the VHS tape at Blockbuster back in the day and would watch the music video part over and over again! i must've rented that tape like 15 times! :) i have the movie on DVD now and although the blooper reel and the song is still there they decided to take the actual video out! it's like why would they do that? did they run out of room on the disc or something? this is one of those instances where VHS was better that DVD!
i first heard this song on the "angus" soundtrack

ghost909090 1 year ago
I don't know,why do they?
these guys however are Irish from Northern Ireland.
they don't call themselves as British, hence his quote.

being Northern Irish doesn't make you any less Irish than bands from the Republic
