  • Beautiful tone. Just ordered a TM30. can't wait

  • Very useful and nice demo! I'm a devoted GT2 user myself and got two questions.

Is using XLR out killing the speaker? If not, is it linked with volume knob?

Is the XLR out after master section, so that it includes final eq and reverb?

    Thanks a lot!

  • @Pankratzy No, the XLR doesn't "kill" the speaker. I plug a dummy cable to the headphones input in order to do that...

Yes, the XLR out includes EQ and Reverb ;)

  • what an amazing little amp!!!

  • This is the best demo I've ever watched

  • @hillbillyluchador Thank you my friend!

  • @hillbillyluchador : i am AGREE..

  • Can you describe your settings for the "i want my MTV" part? thanks. sounds awesome!

  • @erikwesley Unfortunately I cannot recall the settings of this song because it was recorded 2 years ago.

I probably have used the "Marshall" simulation having the tone on my guitar at 3/10...

  • @erikwesley It's called "money for nothing"

  • Thats terrible

  • @clickswitchh Thank you...

  • Nice playing! Great guitar-amp combo....

  • jamiroquai? i think i heard it in there

  • @MarkBrim Hehehe Yes! You hear correctly ;)

  • Hey dude!

Is this record direct out from amp? Or have you put pic in front of amp?Really cool sound!I tried one of them and really amazing sound and so much dynamic just wonder about is this also successfull output sound for recording.Really cool playing and sound!

  • Great demo!!!

What is the tune at 1:45?...caption is "oh, well les go to the mountain".

    Thanks

  • @Mercury6 It's part of a song called "Mountains" from a 70s Greek Rock band called "Socrates" ;)

  • Love your playing! Have the same guitar only satin black....

May I ask how you get that woman tone and the setting on you amp, or the pedals your using? thanks and keep up the good music =)

  • @snowboarder699 It's been a long time since I recorded this video so it's very difficult to remember the exact settings.

I do remember though that I used a Marshall sound simulation on the amp and I was playing with the neck pickup and probably having the tone pot almost off.

  • @elavd Thanks man =)

  • excellent stuff I have the same set up but the 2x12 amp! Great playing dude

  • Awesome tone... beautiful video... Analog pedals and solid state amps do not go well together... How does this 1 word with effect pedals.. I have a few boss, Mxr, dunlop and T-rex pedals... will it sound good with these pedals??

  • The original and the best version ;-) Take care!

  • :) :)

    Thank you!

  • Very nice review of the guitar and amp. Great clean soulful blues licks. Love the way you play. Get a twin reverb >>>LOL

    Ron

  • Thanks Ron ;)

I've bought a Deluxe Reverb II last year, and it's sounding great!!! :)

  • I've the same guitar...gibson kicks ass!! Man this video is awesome...keep on...\m/

  • What setting are you using on Spiritual? Very nice clean tone.

  • This is one of the best demos ive seen on youtube, great job.

  • @tengobotas Thank you very much!

  • Money for something !

  • Why does everyone just play blues on 335 videos (not that there's anything wrong with this guy's playing)? They are capable of so much more. In fact I'm going to make a video with my 335 for all the New Wave/Indie/Alternative/Experimental people out there.

  • Maybe you didn't see the whole video, but only the first couple of minutes... :)

  • No I didn't. Sorry mate. I don't know if you've noticed, but a lot of people play blues on them.lol Also, on a sad note, have you noted the amount of 335s on sale at the moment due to the credit crunch. I couldn't sell mine.

  • Very nice. Enjoyable to listen to.

  • Thats the sound! just ordered a 335. Love the sound, nice playing too!

  • Πολύ καλό παίξιμο σε διαφορετικά στυλ...Σωστός!

  • Thanks ;)

  • Very nice sound and playing!

Is your 335 wired out-of-phase? I loved the tone.

  • No it has the normal wiring ;)

  • @BluesZep

    what does that mean?

  • Great! Bravo!

Whats the backing track on your first solo?

    Eycharistw!

    Alex

  • It's a "BB King style" backing track.

Unfortunately I cannot remember where I found it... :(

  • Eisai poli erotikos paiktis...

  • Whats the name of the song you are playing, when you write:"......paris??"

  • It's Gary Moore's song "Parisienne walkways" ;)

  • Taj Mahal comes to my mind...:)

    Great playing and sound!

  • ηχαρα!

  • Excellent playing...love your style and sound...got the same amp...thumbs up!

  • does that have an footswitch?

  • No, it doesn't... :(

  • Nice work! Great playing, tasteful, with good tone.

  • You did a tremendous job on this one. Thanks so much for posting. It conveys brilliantly how versatile the ES-335 actuallly is. Mine proudly wears a Heritage Cherry finish. Great playing, great guitar, great amp, great everything! Rock on my musical brother :-D

  • Thank you very much!!!

  • dam dam that guitar is a ham.........

  • IThe old ES 335 are amazing guitars, but if you dont wanna pay too much money buy the washburn HB series they soun great (I ave two and also a Gibson 335)

  • Nice little demo. the TM 30 is a great little amp. Nothing like a 335.....it makes the party. thanks and rgds.

  • Very sweet variety of tones coming from the 335 and Trademark. Kudos to the song selection and skill of the player. Enjoyed the humorous titles as well.

  • Hey, would you gig with that amp? Is it loud enough or would it be good enough to mic it?

  • No, I haven't used it in a live situtation.

I think though that it would not be too loud (and clean - without any breakup) for live situations...

  • Man that was so awesome. i want an es 335 sometime in my life but now i've been playing a fender strat squire for only 2 years and am improving.

  • You play a cool guitar already. Now, you should get a Tele to go with it.

  • Don't waste your money on a ES335, just buy an ibanez artcore.

  • Hello Mr. BB 335! love your tone keep playing man!!!!

  • This is cool man! Sweet guitar and nice playing.

  • I can't believe I haven't stumbled on to you before, especially since I'm always searching for ES 335 video's. I got one this Dec. and can't believe all the different tones you've tastefully extracted from this beautiful instrument;everything from Petty to Peter Green. Your playing is fantastic, with a nice variety. I've always wanted to learn "Oh Well"-did you learn it by ear or is there good tab out there? I'll be sure to check out youir other video's. 5 stars. Cheers

  • Thank you very much for your compliments (and the rating too) :) :):)

I play all the songs by ear (I am a self-taught guitarist) so unfortunatelly I don't have tabs for any of the songs...

But I think that it won't be difficult to find a tab for "Oh Well" ;)

  • Your welcome on the compliment-you certainly must have put in your hours of playing every day. Where did you find that great BB King backing track-I'd love to jam to that. Cheers

  • I think that I've downloaded from a website with free backing tracks.

If you write "Backing tracks" on Google, you'll find many websites ;)

  • I read that this thing has different presets but you can only change from clean 1 to dirty 2 channel via footswitch.

How do you program, store or change amp/cab simulations?

  • As far as I know, there's no way of storing amp/cab simulations...

  • Great playing and tone,

Is this amp capable of jazz tones?

thanks for the trouble putting the clip on

  • Of course it is, provided that you have the appropriate hands/technique (which I don't have:)) ... ;)

  • Thanks for the reply--You do have the hands and /technique, don't sell yourself short--

    sounds great to me

  • Their TRI-A.C.(pedal) has 3 programmable switches. You place the pedal in front of an power-amp or direct to P.A..

  • Great playing! Tell me about the amp, is it powerfull for its size, and could you play a small gig with it? To compare, a small Vox Pathfinder (15w, 8") is often enough for me, but not always, especially when the drummer gets going. It's only a practise amp (though nice), so that's not surprising. Efxaristo for any advice!

  • Hello my friend!

I think that this amp could be useful in a small gig where the volume levels are not very high and the drummer keeps his energy controlled :)

But if you want to use it in a regular live, I think that it will not be loud (and clean) enough...

  • Lovely clean, horrid distorted, especailly around 7.12

  • Nice chops! Not totally convinced by the amp as just got into valves after faithful years of ss, but it has a useful range nonetheless. Oh and Funk and Jazz always best through ss amps anyway!!

  • kalh douleia hlia!

kala o teleytaios ixos me karfwse sto patwma apo ta gelia :)

  • Super video and superb playing.

By the way, who is the original performer of "Last Dance"?

  • It's Tom Petty's "Mary Jane's Last" ;)

  • i play all sorts and this amp seems good. But would the 30 be loud enough for a band situation? Currently i play a marshall dsl401 40w all tube combo and in band practice it gets to around 4.5/5 masters volume wise. Would this be loud enough? Or is it like other solid state amps where it starts clipping and giving a nasty?

  • I was thinking about a Laney lg 35r.Now i see this thing.I guess its gonna be a little more expensive than the laney.Sure sounds good.

  • at 5.00 you play something called 'whats that??' my question is what were you playing? it sounded awesome!!

  • This is an idea of mine ;)

I have it in mind for years but I unfortunately never managed to develope it further...:(

  • i really liked it! im amazed that you can get such depth from a small 30 watt amp, incredible stuff!

  • oops, already posted a comment! woops.

  • Please pleas make more vids with this amp!

I'm so intrested in this amp. think i'm gonna sell my line6 spider2 and the FBV wah/channel changer that i bought for it and use the money plus some more i can get to buy this. I never use the FX on my amp now and its a waste. i love this amp!

  • Can this amp stand a propper distored power chord no crap, punk thrashing? I heard of this amp on a random forum.

I'm geussing it can do ac/dc kind of crunch. im really intrested in this. but if/when gonna get it ill get it in 60Watt. My amp atm is a Spider2 30.borredd of it.

  • Although I play mainly clean, I think it can play pretty "dirty" too ;)

  • I am more into hard rock/progressive.....will a Fender be ok for this?...or Vox/Marshall?...thanks for your response

  • which amp do you think is better for this guitar?....i might be buying one in the next few days...keep posting!

  • Do you mean the Tech 21 amp simulations?

If so, I think that the tweed mode (Fender style) is great for this guitar if you play clean (bluesy, funky, jazzy) stuff.

ES335 is a very versatile instrument though! You can play all kinds of music with it ;)

  • That was great. What was it you played around 5:40? Reminded of some movie

  • I played Miles Davis' "So what".

This is Ronny Jordan's version. Search it on YouTube ;)

  • nice job!

  • What and incredibly versatile guitar Elavd. I am so envious of you right now ;)

Sounds and looks great. Did your 335 come with '57's?

    Cheers,

    Algonquin

  • Thank you my friend.

Yes it came with the Classic 57 pickups ;)

  • Great sounding pickups! I'm really happy with the ones I put in my Epiphone. What a bonus to have them come with the guitar.

A really impressive demo and recording!

  • They are really good, but lately I am thinking of replacing them with a Bare Knuckle "Stormy Mondays" set...

  • Great!!! A+++ :)
