That is so cool!!! I'm writing a historical fiction novel myself on Eva Peron, except that it's told through the eyes of a girl named Ofelia who becomes Eva and Juan's adopted daughter. Eva and Ofelia grow to love each other so much and Eva's death allows them both to show their love, fear, and pain towards each other. There's also one huge surprise at the end of the novel, one that many will NOT except.
I will never forget seeing a state owned movie reel of her funeral. The lines stretched for miles in the cold rainy winter morning. As people filed past her casket, they wept silently. Grown men, weeping, millions of Argentines mourning in lockstep. It is quite a moving experience to think that there was such a person who walked this earth. The only thing I have seen similar was the funeral of Pope John Paul II.
I may self-publish it- you'd have to buy it online if I did that, but since there's such a demand for it right now, that would be a faster way of getting my book into print.
Hopefully, just that will happen one day. I have read a lot more of the book other than just this passage I share with all of you and I have to admit, she is a very good writer and I commend her for all of the hard work and time she has put into her project. I'd be the first in line to buy it but she has to promise to sign it for me.
well that brought me to tears, that short and deeply sad passage that you read. I look forward to the book. I always try to avoid that part of Evita's life journey, sometimes I force myself to read that part of her life, I say she lived it, the least I can do is read it and feel her pain. For me, in the Passion of Christ, we were taken on Christs' horribly painful inhuman death, and it rocked most of us to our core, I feel a similar deep sadness and pain when I see Evita at her end.
Thank you. When I come across anyone interested in la Señora it brings me great happiness. The fact that this person is writing a novel about Evita has thrilled me and if I can help her in any possible way, I will. A boost of confidence can do so much with an endeavor of this magnitude. She shared even more of her project with me and I think she is truly writing a unique creation that many will enjoy once it hits the shelves in bookstores.
You are an excellent speaker and you read the words well. Thank you for sharing this with everyone. I look forward to your own thoughts about the last days of Evita Peron and perhaps your views on the bizarre journey of her embalmed body.
Thank you. That must be from all of those communication and speech classes that I took. I guess they are finally paying off. I will share a lot more about my feelings/thoughts on all things Evita, including the final chapter of her life and then the voyage in which she never should have had to embark upon in my opinion. I also plan to speak about my feelings in regards to her final resting place and a whole lot more.
