@GFoladi the mentalist actually rips off them :) the mentalist is from 2008 and psych is from 2006. The mentalist got more publicity so people think psych copied the mentalist. Its like holes but with less of a distance.

@bookercreator The Mentalist doesn't rip shit off. The Mentalist is about a guy (Who doesn't believe in psychics, btw) that is using his mind skills to find Red John. Shawn is a "psychic" who uses his skill just to have fun with it. Not having a sole purpose. Besides investigating. Psych is a comedy show, The Mentalist is a drama show. Psych fans think that Psych invented the idea of psychics in a tv show, when it's fair game for anyone. I love both shows, but Psych fans piss me off sometimes.

The mentalist DID, in fact, get the idea for the show from Psych but decided to put a more serious tone to it. I was just pointing out to GFoladi which came first so he would not make a fool out of himself at some point in his life. People piss me off River. People piss me off. Let us both hopefully learn to deal with those people and eventually we will live in a happy world ^-^

I watched most of season 1 of Mentalist, hoping it would get better...it didn't. Simon Baker is adorable, but the jokes on that show are not funny at all, and the romantic relationships are painfully predictable. Plus, if you live in California, you know how ludicrous it is when they drive to all these far-flung locations in one day. Long live Psych!

What rumor? Its a fact. You actually think the mentalist was an original idea by their creators? There is not even a little chance that they didnt get their show from Psych.
