I'm American to the core but have lived in Sweden nearly 8 yrs with my husband who is from here. and those words make me ill. Watching as Bush and his henchmen methodically (with his old-school politics) have gored the USA's domestic and international image and ability has been incredibly frustrating.
And another thing :) I hope that our new leader will help repair our country amd its image in the world circuit, and they can start by quit babbling about how great we are and do acts that make our pride legitimate again. Obama has plans to put 'n keep people in the government welfare trap. He'll do this by hiking taxes, cap gains and all corporate taxes, reverse the Bush tax cuts, bring back the death tax. This would create a massive depression as millions lose jobs, people stop investing and are forced to pay higher costs for everything, including gas, water, electric, healthcare and SS. If Obama steals the election, America is done as a free nation. Iran gets the bomb to nuke Israel. Obama will do nothing.

It seems like a small thing, but if it is a small thing then why bother removing it? Someone had to make a conscious decision to remove this for a specific reason. ...and what have you done to help this great country, besides complain and hope that a new president will give you more things. Be a real American and contribute something. Think about it. How many people are trying to get out of this country and how many are trying to get in???? Hmmm.... Maybe if you actually took notice of how people had to live in other countries, you might appreciate the fact that only in a few countries can you actually benefit from your hard work. I agree with almost 100% of your words. I do tire, however, when politicians (not you) rant on about how America is the greatest nation in the world and how the world looks to us to lead them. I'm American to the core but have lived in Sweden nearly 8 yrs with my husband who is from here. and those words make me ill. Watching as Bush and his henchmen methodically (with his old-school politics) have gored the USA's domestic and international image and ability has been incredibly frustrating.

And another thing :) I hope that our new leader will help repair our country amd its image in the world circuit, and they can start by quit babbling about how great we are and do acts that make our pride legitimate again. Actions speak much louder than words! But at least let's begin with some some realistic plans (words) rather than desperately making superlative promises. That would be a nice beginning.

America has its problems just like any other country. Bush, just like all presidents, has a responsiblity to protect us. He has tried to do that! Democrat or Republican, choices are made-mistakes are made. That is the challenge to a leader, but lead they must. We sit back and criticize from the comfort of our living rooms while they sweat blood and tears that the decisions they make are correct! We should respect the person who has to make these decisions while guns are pointed at us!
