  • can you please tell me the name of this song?

  • @schuschu121 Hey that song is called Black Orpheus, a very old song, you can find hundreds of different versions on Youtube.

  • Dude just LOOK, that is the perfect Cat for yours! :)) youtube.com/watch?v=TgBGF_3gKxc

  • Nice cat. Want it.

  • cute cat

  • Beautiful cat

  • I like the music.... what's title?

  • What output settings did you use for export?

  • I don't know much about camera but I think i will get this one instead of the 5d ii, are there filter for different types of looks, is it easy to use, is it good for filming short films? clomtl could you please answer, thanks - Sebastian(ThatMovieGuy55)

  • @ThatMovieGuy55 . Yep you can use any filters that fit the front thread of the lens.

It should be fine for short films.

One problem I had with movie clips was it kept cutting out after a few seconds so you need a fast memory card to keep up with it.

If youre into videos do a search for magic lantern, its a firmware upgrade that goes on the memory card and gives you a LOT of video options.

  • what's that song?

  • @nikolavideobre "Manhã de Carnaval" is the name of the song... Nice bossa

  • @cagethug thanks!

  • salut , c est une tres bon video excelent travail , je suis un guitariste et j aimerai que tu m a donner le titre de la chanson que tu as utiliser dans cette chanson .

  • is there any noise made by the focus ring when you manually focus?

  • @TheBurlybrad There is definitely a little bit of noise, but not near as much as using the auto focus. Zooming on telephoto lenses also produces some noise.

I'll make a video tonight with the sound intact so you can hear it based on a couple different lenses I have.

With the more expensive lenses, I don't believe there is near as much noise from focusing. Unfortunately, I don't any expensive lenses so I can't actually vouch for them.

  • @clmotl

say you were using an external mic, would it be loud enough for it to pick it up or is it an internal noise?

  • @TheBurlybrad An external mic would be able to pick up auto focus, but it's not likely that it would pick up manual focus. Same for the zoom. The noise on manual focus mainly comes from the mic being inside the camera body which picks up vibrations from the lens.

  • @TheBurlybrad No.

Use manual focus for videos otherwise AF sounds awful.

  • these are beautiful. <3

  • i love cats :D

  • I like the cat thats the only reason me watching this vid

  • Song name ?

Nice cats, nice vids :) I liek so much the 50mm lens

  • nice.. :)

  • 50mm on 500d crop sensor is smthing about 85mm right? (cuz of crop sensor)

  • @TheTaspatses The cropped sensor gives a 1.6 scale factor for the EF lenses. For the 50mm f1.8 II, it would end up being effectively the same as an 80mm EF-S lens -> 50mm * 1.6 = 80mm.

  • @clmotl what lense were you using there? it's very good.

  • @CounrtyGirl479 Canon 50mm f1.8 II

  • @clmotl thanks

  • Nice CATS!!, How can you make Zoom with this lens?

  • nice cat & ideal song for the video-)

  • Nice cat! :-)

  • 'Luv your cat ;)

  • Hey can i ask u something i got kiss x 3 and i want to know 64gb sd card possible to work and how many minuts it can recording video

  • @131dgbaatka I haven't read anything saying that 64gb sd cards won't work, so it should be fine.

One limitation of the camera is that it can only record clips up to 4gb in size in one continuous shot. Once the 4gb limit is hit, recording stops, and you have to hit the record button again to start a new clip.

  • @131dgbaatka 1920x1080 - 330 MB/min. - 4GB card - 12 mins - 16GB card - 49 mins - 64GB card - 194 mins 1280x720 - 222 MB/min. - 4GB card - 18 mins - 16GB card - 73 mins - 64GB card - 291 mins 640x480 - 165 MB/min. - 4GB card - 24 mins - 16GB card - 99 mins - 64GB card - 388 mins
  • @clmotl Oh god! Are you serious?

  • I dont understand, I though prime lenses don't zoom

  • @Smalskin The camera does not add the ability to zoom to a prime lens. The only lenses that can zoom are the ones from the following categories: Ultra-Wide Zoom, Standard Zoom, Telephoto Zoom.

  • @Smalskin they dont zoom, just focus.

  • @Smalskin the camera cant zoom but the guy behind the camera can walk and move around, right?

  • This is great!

Keep it up! Practis gives the right teqhnique :)

  • what video format did you use to upload to youtube .mov?

  • Your cat is so cute ^^

  • 0:40 PussyCat : "Why is this nigga so close to me?"

  • i like the bit where u film the cats

  • can u zoom in and zoom out while recording? how long the battery least?

  • @MrLukasDiSparrow Yes, you can zoom while recording. If you have a lens that can zoom for normal picture use, it will zoom in video mode as well. I've gotten fantastic battery life. I rarely ever use a flash which definitely helps, but overall the battery life on these cameras is amazing. It never hurts to have a spare, though.

  • @clmotl thans for quick reply... how is the indoor-night mode?

  • @MrLukasDiSparrow The low light performance is great, but it depends a good bit on what lens you are using. In this video, I used the 50mm f1.8. It's nice and cheap and gives great performance, but no zooming. The 50mm f1.4 & 50mm f1.2 give even better performance, but they're quite expensive. You can get zoom lenses down in the low ~f2.0 range, but those are even more expensive.

  • thanks for this video i was just wondering if u could give me the song name thanks !

  • @aV1Zz

"Black Orpheus" by L. Bonfa performed by Charles C. Hammer

From the Album 'Romance of the Solo Guitar'

  • @clmotl many thanks ! where did u get it cuz i can't find it :)

  • @clmotl thanks dude ! where can i get this very good album dont you know ?

  • I really like these type of Video with Canon, Thats what I'm trying to aim for with my Videos

  • haha, creeper look at 1:24

  • Good Kitty :)

  • Hey i cant use my video mode on my canon 500d manually do you have any tipps?

  • @fidanM The only thing you can do manually while shooting video is focus. You can change the white balance, color profile, auto focus mode, and video resolution, but that is all. To get complete control over the exposure you need a much higher end camera.

  • This isn't USM right?

  • @afiqfalif Correct.

  • how long does eos 500d, 550d or 60d can shoot a video..????

  • @s3v3ns0rr0w21

    1920x1080 - 330 MB/min.

    - 4GB card - 12 mins

    - 16GB card - 49 mins

    1280x720 - 222 MB/min.

    - 4GB card - 18 mins

    - 16GB card - 73 mins

    640x480 - 165 MB/min.

    - 4GB card - 24 mins

    - 16GB card - 99 mins

  • @clmotl Thnx for the info.....

  • I'm looking for a good lens for a camcorder, but I noticed that half the video is totally blurry! How can you watch video like this?

Is there such thing as an autofocus lens for a camcorder?

    thanks

  • @At0mPr0ducti0ns

The main reason for doing video in cameras like this is to get the same depth of field look in video. Keeping the main subject in focus is extremely hard, but I think it gives a nice look. Also keep in mind, this was the first video I shot with the camera, and my first time ever doing manual focus.

The autofocus on this camera leaves a lot to be desired. I've heard that some of the newer cameras can do full time autofocus during video, but I haven't seen it in action.

  • @At0mPr0ducti0ns nikon d3100 can do autofocus while recording, but it's still not as good as on normal camcorder.

  • I like your kittys!

And I'm interested in this camera, good investment -yes -no?

  • @elisepatt149

This is an awesome camera, I love it.

Any DSLR would be an great investment.

  • Just wondering - I have a Canon Rebel XSi which doesn't take videos, and I'm thinking of upgrading to a T1i or T2i? How does the sound recording on the videos work? This may sound like a dumb question, but the only video camera I have is a crappy one I've had for years. Is there a built in mic like in normal video cameras, or do you need an extra mic attachment thing to take with it? (Because I see a lot of people carrying cameras with microphones around.)

Thanks - anyone who can answer!

  • @minnonikki

Both the T1i and T2i have built in microphones, but neither of them are very great. Whenever you zoom or focus, it comes across quite loud on the video. They are pretty much the equivalent to what would be on any of the entry HD video camcorders.

The T2i has the advantage of an external plug for a microphone, plus some more configurable video shooting modes.

  • @clmotl Great, thanks (:

  • did u use the default factory lanse to do the focus?

  • @n70buyer

    No, I used the 50mm f1.8 II

The kit lens can also be manually focused.

  • i got the same lens, but i dislike that there is so lesss wide-angle,....you really have film out of a big distance to get much in the picture....

  • wonderful video...lovely camera and excellent lense, really nice endeed...may i ask you which music piece is that is playing ?

  • @samospenguin

"Black Orpheus" by L. Bonfa performed by Charles C. Hammer

  • what kind of cat? I love the look! nice vid

  • @HurricaneMcLean13

    Domestic Short Hair Brown Tabby

  • I only have two small doubt! Why is the video is not Full HD? And how many frames per second makes the canon 500D?

I appreciate the time to respond! =)

  • @Blackbirdair

The 500D only does 20 fps at 1080p, but it can do 30 fps at 720p. I prefer higher frame rate to total size for the little bit that I do.

The 550D can do 30 fps at 1080p, and it also has a plug in for an external mic. The 550D is a much better camera for HD Video. If you can get a 500D for a good price, though, it's definitely not bad.

  • Please, tell me how you edited this. Everytime i try to import to premiere it says it dosent recognise the file =/

  • @frankytap I used iMovie on the Mac

  • Cats are the best freaking subject for testing. I'm still getting used to my new glass though. Nice job.

  • @mgpowers I Agree!.. cats make great subjects..

    D

  • cute good job :D
