As for the Costly CGI: How about using a 3D package that has a (more or less) free Rendermodule that can run a computer that does not own (as in payed) the software. I.e. LightWave 3D (Star Trek, Iron Sky). That will save same money for a render farm/service. My Computer is not in use for about 16hrs per day anyway.
I'm kinda disappointed at these two and at peter joesph...they all need to tam up again and get over the immature crap i mean they worked together just fine up until they started to get more attention by the media...we need them to get together again and get back on track to helping make a better world for us all.

Note also that most so called communist countries are not even real communism. I believe the governmental structure in TVP would be computers and networking them all together than building a program to monitor resources and giving the people the oppurtunity to vote thru a computer on their decision
I wonder why Mr. Fresco decided to go straight to film rather than producing a novel first? You all know lots of successful movies started as books first. They are cheaper to produce and are more likely to survive in the unfortunate case the world does plummet into a dark age.

@illuminatisos I think those people will have to understand that this is mankind's only hope, they will not give up their land, since the land was not their's in the first place. The important thing is to make them agree in declaring all the Earth as a common heritage, and once they realize the benefits, they will contribute. As for religious people, I don't have a clue, It's been here for so long that is already mixed up with the culture!!

The important thing is to change how people think -- to begin that by getting them to question things they never have doubted before in their lives. How to use $ to help in that? A movie is a good idea, but it's also quite expensive, and I'd like to see more ideas considered. I believe we need a web site for highly structured arguing & discussion. When our discourse is elevated, we'll actually help each other think better.
I think this will be a great idea to get the message across to more people. I will show my support and donate some cash as well. If only I was a millionaire, if I was I'd just dump a truckload into the project. Maybe this movie will attract some 'richer' audiences into the Venus Project's underlining message and increase support.

The Venus Project should really consider posting their proposal for a Motion Picture Movie on the website Kickstarter. Its a great website to get funding for project by the general public. If you look around you can see how many people have funded fantastic ideas or products. You should definitely consider it, because I dont know about the rest of the people out here but I want to see this movie a reality ASAP.
I think a film is a very good idea to make the concepts clear, i'm especially interested in the change of the valuesystem. Every time I try to explain it to somebody, I get stuck there, since it's a big step for somebody to start to believe in.

Although there are indeed numerous wealthy people in this world that could pay 100% of the entire film production costs, this has not happened for reasons that would seem obvious. At any rate, the energetic value of having thousands of people all over the world pitching in whatever they can give towards this goal, will carry a more significant overall impact and transcendence than if a single person puts it all out. i was perusing the comments here and noticed a lot of folks advocating for a new, better movie. something that would excite and reach people, like say an 'avatar' or 'harry potter'.
you guys do realize the makers avatar spent $150,000,000 on promotion alone before the movie, which cost anywhere from $237,000,000 - $310,000,000, was even released.
i'ld suggest that 1/2 of a billion dollars might be better spent building yourselves a prototype town, that might convince me.
@Ramiromasters Hey, as stereotypical and cliche as those films may be, fiction/fantasy is an amazing genre that portrays the human imagination unlike any other. Sure, we don't watch them for knowledge (that is unless a piece of fiction uses symbolism and metaphors to express a deep message, ala Blade Runner), but that doesn't mean we shouldn't be inspired or entertained by anything. We would live like machines if that was the case.
@TheNotoriousJesus Remember the movie "Avatar" with the blue aliens? I think it carries a good message of peace to people. Avatar production cost was approximately $280,000,000.00. The price for promotion was approximately $150,000,000.00.
But the sad part is that most people have forgotten the message. I sustain my point about an MMO, because it would not be a one time thing. It could be like the game "Second Life" much more detailed explanations, for much cheaper.

The Venus Project should make a teaser/trailer for their major motion picture purely with the 3DSMAX images of Jacque's designs and upload it to IMDBPro and other relevant websites and festival sites where it can be picked up by filmmakers and would ultimately generate a lot of curiosity and interest just from looking at the stunning visuals.
Let's do what we can for the generations to come. Let's make this movie possible. Donate whatever you can. It all counts. This is a powerful way of reaching people. Mass awareness is what this needs. I'm personally donating 1000 NOK (150$) in January when I get money from the state for my university education.

Ideally you should get people to simply donate their time and resources which can be written off as a charitable donation. The message needs to be clear to the people working towards the film and project as well as the people watching it that this sort of kindness made the film possible, otherwise your message of "evil/good is not a matter of nature, but a matter of conditioning" will largely go unnoticed and ignored.
This is why I challenge people from all specialties to donate and volunteer!
For the record I 100% support TVP/RBE and I don't mean to sound negative, just realist. But to think that by putting a movie out there people all of the sudden will just wake up is delusional. PJ made a strong case for a RBE and TVP in Zeitgeist II and III, millions so far have seen the possibilities yet we don't see people "flocking" towards the RBE ideas and concepts. People are not ready for these ideas yet, the seeds have already been planted, that's a big start, the start of a long process

@MatsKaarbo right - yes doug is really great but he is presently (far as i know) working full time in hollywood projects. I think he has worked on Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, etc.. We would have to get some kind of major movie project happen to hire doug. We're not at that point yet.

@fdn357 You are underestimating the possible success or failure of a motion-picture, you might find some lvolunteers who have a little extra time on their hands to help out a bit, indeed. (Screenwriting takes far more time, sir :) )

I know it just sounds like a big name drop but James Cameron has been involved with Amazon Watch, an activist group for the preservation of the Amazon. His film Avatar also shows his interest in social and environmental issues. Is it too much of a stretch to imagine that he might be interested in the film?
In free market capitalism people make decision based on money and profits, and the need to survive. In a technologically advanced, resource based economy people are more free to do work which satisfies them physically and psychologically.

@rabiesman888 Look at it this way. They've gotten 64K in donations, steadily, over a period of eight months. That's approximately 8K dollars a month. Considering that the donations will continuously grow steadily like it has, it will only take about four and half months before they reach 100K. Then they hire a screenwriter to do the magic, if you will, and finally pitch the piece of paper to a producer/director/investor who will faint to the immense power that hit their eyes reading the script.
@420wassap The fact of the matter is that the average person doesn't want to watch a boring documentary or something like that. This is the honest truth. If you can mix education with genuinely good entertainment, you will reach millions and millions of people.
studios will ignore it like they ignored the movie: Idiocricy and it went straight to DVD/ however the film the Matrix made it into theaters so give it a shot. People are highly influenced by movies and if thers CGI then all the asleep sheeple will watch it and tomorrow we will have this new MODEL!
@420wassap Idiocracy went to DVD because it's a terrible movie with no marketability. The Matrix on the other hand is entertaining and appeals to a broader audience because it has action, special effects, sex, love, philosophical undertones, etc. If they made a big blockbuster movie that appealed to the masses, they could influence a lot of people. You guys underestimate the power of cinema. Films are what got the general public through the Great Depression and WW2 when there was no hope.

@thevenusprojectmedia : Have you tried using kickstarter (dot) com ? I've seen filmmakers use kickstarter to fund their films. Also check out a website called FilmmakerIQ. There are a number of professional filmmakers and people who work with major studios - they frequent the site's message-boards. Some of them might come off strong at first, but they are nice people. They just need to get to know you.

I'll donate, I'm eager to see this film. The first city will not be a RBE though, because you will need money to build it and sustain it. Taxes will be garnered from this city so it needs to generate revenue. But this is how it has to be in the transition, a monetary system will not go extinct until well after the world has many cities and counties with the necessary tech in place. I love TVP and would love to die in a RBE, so we'll see. Goodluck, I hope to see you all in the center ring!
If the movie is about showing the audience how life would be in a RBE and show flashbacks of how we get from here to there, the no-brainer way to get fundings, to make it a blockbuster, is to get sponsors from companies like REC (renewable energy corporation), quantum computing companies and satellite companies that would actually make the transition to a reality. By implementing those companies with product placement to the flashback scenes, it's a win-win situation... That makes sense, right?
write the script and make sure its contemporary with standards for entertainment today. This can't receive bad press. Its going to be a whole lot harder to pull off that a Zeitgeist Documentary Film.

The important thing is to make them agree in declaring all the Earth as a common heritage, and once they realize the benefits, they will contribute. The important thing is to change how people think -- to begin that by getting them to question things they never have doubted before in their lives. How to use $ to help in that? A movie is a good idea, but it's also quite expensive, and I'd like to see more ideas considered. I believe we need a web site for highly structured arguing & discussion. I think this will be a great idea to get the message across to more people. I will show my support and donate some cash as well. If only I was a millionaire, if I was I'd just dump a truckload into the project. Maybe this movie will attract some 'richer' audiences into the Venus Project's underlining message and increase support.
It is kinda ironic in a way that this project needs such funding to really make movement, but such is the world we live in, atm.

When you guys and ladies actually make this film, it MUST be emotionally impacting and interesting to the viewer. It needs orchestra, it needs some damn good 3D images to portray the cities and designs, and it needs to be respectful to humanity. But what am I to say? You probably got this planned already and probably better than I vision it.

The Venus Project should really consider posting their proposal for a Motion Picture Movie on the website Kickstarter. Its a great website to get funding for project by the general public. If you look around you can see how many people have funded fantastic ideas or products. You should definitely consider it, because I dont know about the rest of the people out here but I want to see this movie a reality ASAP.

Although there are indeed numerous wealthy people in this world that could pay 100% of the entire film production costs, this has not happened for reasons that would seem obvious. At any rate, the energetic value of having thousands of people all over the world pitching in whatever they can give towards this goal, will carry a more significant overall impact and transcendence than if a single person puts it all out. Not that we would not like this one person to show up, but to praise what we do!

These movies are about surrealism, reinvigorating stereotypes, and the typical Disney "is good to be the king" type of movies...
Like Jaque have said "we would need equal time in the eyes of people to revert the corrupt thinking." I really don't know why he does not see that...

@Ramiromasters Hey, as stereotypical and cliche as those films may be, fiction/fantasy is an amazing genre that portrays the human imagination unlike any other. Sure, we don't watch them for knowledge (that is unless a piece of fiction uses symbolism and metaphors to express a deep message, ala Blade Runner), but that doesn't mean we shouldn't be inspired or entertained by anything. We would live like machines if that was the case.

But the sad part is that most people have forgotten the message. I sustain my point about an MMO, because it would not be a one time thing. It could be like the game "Second Life" much more detailed explanations, for much cheaper.

Ideally you should get people to simply donate their time and resources which can be written off as a charitable donation. The message needs to be clear to the people working towards the film and project as well as the people watching it that this sort of kindness made the film possible, otherwise your message of "evil/good is not a matter of nature, but a matter of conditioning" will largely go unnoticed and ignored.
This is why I challenge people from all specialties to donate and volunteer!

For the record I 100% support TVP/RBE and I don't mean to sound negative, just realist. But to think that by putting a movie out there people all of the sudden will just wake up is delusional. PJ made a strong case for a RBE and TVP in Zeitgeist II and III, millions so far have seen the possibilities yet we don't see people "flocking" towards the RBE ideas and concepts. People are not ready for these ideas yet, the seeds have already been planted, that's a big start, the start of a long process

@MatsKaarbo right - yes doug is really great but he is presently (far as i know) working full time in hollywood projects. I think he has worked on Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, etc.. We would have to get some kind of major movie project happen to hire doug. We're not at that point yet.

@fdn357 You are underestimating the possible success or failure of a motion-picture, you might find some lvolunteers who have a little extra time on their hands to help out a bit, indeed. (Screenwriting takes far more time, sir :) )
To make something like this happen, it should be epic and that will take time and time will take money.
This shouldn't be a movie for the "fans" of the project but for everyone.
At least these guys know how the world works. =)

Hmm, what exactly is the movie going to be about? And how long will it be? I think you'd need to make a pretty convincing movie for people to suddenly leave everything they've known behind and do what this project says.
Do you already have a script written? Or will that be done after the money is collected?

I know it just sounds like a big name drop but James Cameron has been involved with Amazon Watch, an activist group for the preservation of the Amazon. His film Avatar also shows his interest in social and environmental issues. Is it too much of a stretch to imagine that he might be interested in the film?

there at 60k, now wth no script cmon this thing will take years im sorry to say but by if this thing actually comes out it will be atleast like 5years from now and jacque will probly be dead, peter will probly release his 5 or 6th film b4 this thing happens. i would love for it to be successful but i dont think it will be

@rabiesman888 Look at it this way. They've gotten 64K in donations, steadily, over a period of eight months. That's approximately 8K dollars a month. Considering that the donations will continuously grow steadily like it has, it will only take about four and half months before they reach 100K. Then they hire a screenwriter to do the magic, if you will, and finally pitch the piece of paper to a producer/director/investor who will faint to the immense power that hit their eyes reading the script.

studios will ignore it like they ignored the movie: Idiocricy and it went straight to DVD/ however the film the Matrix made it into theaters so give it a shot. People are highly influenced by movies and if thers CGI then all the asleep sheeple will watch it and tomorrow we will have this new MODEL!

@420wassap Idiocracy went to DVD because it's a terrible movie with no marketability. The Matrix on the other hand is entertaining and appeals to a broader audience because it has action, special effects, sex, love, philosophical undertones, etc. If they made a big blockbuster movie that appealed to the masses, they could influence a lot of people. You guys underestimate the power of cinema. Films are what got the general public through the Great Depression and WW2 when there was no hope.

the venus project was an epiphany for me - i had some reservation and even suspiscions - im not religious and i realize that part of the tvp is a change of attitude about ownership - and lack of formal leadership but in religious terms (for lack of better )peter joseph is your most eloquent disciple - if not for him i may not have ever found tvp - and if i had i may not have been as throughly interested - i hope you make your movie and i hope we all get there - but denouncing tzm was a mistake

@thevenusprojectmedia : Have you tried using kickstarter (dot) com ? I've seen filmmakers use kickstarter to fund their films. Also check out a website called FilmmakerIQ. There are a number of professional filmmakers and people who work with major studios - they frequent the site's message-boards. Some of them might come off strong at first, but they are nice people. They just need to get to know you.

This very issue caused the split between zeitgeist movement and the venus project. I do question the rationale behind making a motion picture. Will it really affect people's behavior? I have learned through experience that the information is there. When one encounters the information it doesn't magically change them. All the person is left with is the strength. The strength to overcome thier own boundaries. That's the point in which they flop or they fly.

I'll donate, I'm eager to see this film. The first city will not be a RBE though, because you will need money to build it and sustain it. Taxes will be garnered from this city so it needs to generate revenue. But this is how it has to be in the transition, a monetary system will not go extinct until well after the world has many cities and counties with the necessary tech in place. I love TVP and would love to die in a RBE, so we'll see. Goodluck, I hope to see you all in the center ring!

If the movie is about showing the audience how life would be in a RBE and show flashbacks of how we get from here to there, the no-brainer way to get fundings, to make it a blockbuster, is to get sponsors from companies like REC (renewable energy corporation), quantum computing companies and satellite companies that would actually make the transition to a reality. By implementing those companies with product placement to the flashback scenes, it's a win-win situation... That makes sense, right?
