@ZeGamestar Reminds me of that 80's tape recorder I have -- dropped the bastard 2 storeys, hit solid concrete, and worked almost perfectly afterwards. They don't make 'em like they used to... I mean, it was probably planted by the U.S.S.R, back when it still existed, to spy on my country, but it was pretty nice of them to have my KGB-affiliated grandmother give me such a durable gift :)

@Shadekiller666 No, my PC isn't fixed :P I'm doing these by recording the video using an old DVD recorder, recording the voiceover using an old laptop, transferring everything to my new laptop (which won't work with my capture card; desktop only) and editing/uploading from there. I am, however, currently employed, and I'm set to get paid soon, so the PC finally has something to look forward to :P

I mostly agree with you about the 'realism' rant, but there are some games where a set amount of realism is definitely a plus. Take for example, the Grand Theft Auto series. In the older games, the vehicle physics engine wasn't realistic whatsoever. With GTA IV, the engine was majorly upgraded. With it, the amount of required skill, and the sheer enjoyment of driving was increased as well. I don't know if everyone agrees with me, but that's my opinion, at least.

I also said that if it adds to the game's goal (which, in GTA IV, it would, because the game tries to imitate a real life environment), then it's perfectly fine, and usually beneficial.

I tried going back to this game, but the controls are so much better in the new ones that I just can't get used to it.

I think it's the strafing or locking on... or something.

Plus, there's rpg elements in the newer games, and that's awesome.
