Obviously, you don't know your dance music very well. Techno was made during the 80s---Pet Shop Boys, Yaz, & all those retro dance tunes were the original sounds of techno. It wasn't until the early-90s that it evolved into Industrial.

Trance didn't appear until the mid & late-90s. Hardcore is just another subgenre of trance. Hard-trance, Hard-house, Hardcore are the most ANNOYING genres of dance music I ever heard.
