Wow, you can really hear them talking trash to each other on the court. It seems like the majority of the trash talking is coming from Bird and the Celtics. Oh, well...this is the age when the Celtics were at their best and ruled the NBA...Jordan and the Bulls would have their chance but they would have to wait for the 90's.
Bird was a forward Jordan was a guard..The Celtics in the season before they had Larry Bird(78'-79') finished 29-53 in Bird's rookie season they finished 61-21 and that was BEFORE the Celtics had Kevin McHale and Robert Parrish. Did you ever see Bird's index finger on his shooting hand? Do a search for The finger is shaped much like a boomerang, permanently bent toward his thumb at a 45-degree angle. Two operations have failed to straighten it; he can bend it only halfway to his palm
Best part of this video is Red Auerbach's halftime interview. Say whatever you want about the man, he is clearly too intelligent of a man to have been racist, and that mentality helped shape the NBA as of today, and helped blacks reach iconic levels in pro sports. He gives credit where it's due, avoids disrespecting others, yet always speaks his mind, and always puts the game first. And he was spot on about the NBA being better when the college product is better.

"Well, you don't play 72 games a season and then the playoffs in college."
72 games? Yes, Marty Glickam, you do indeed go way back.
Now, somebody please answer the phone.
