The picture quality is supreme, but howcome it's always so blurry when you shift the camera, is it that hard for auto-focus?

@bigfatdick5000 D5000 doesn't have autofocus while shooting a video. You have to manually focus, or keep your subjects at the same distance. :S

nikon video recording are crappy. not full HD and the video here is very warm. not good. go and opt for canon t1i or t2i. the t2i is far more superioe than any nikon shitty consumer level

d5000>>>7d.if u want full hd go for point and shoot cams or camcoders.but dslrs are meant for photography

@karthiksrichandra Actually, DSLR's have bigger sensors than camcorders, so if you want good video for consumer level, go for a high end DSLR over a high end consumer camcorder.

@karthiksrichandra Actually, Video in DSLRs is a big part of them now, or will be in 5-10 years. Photographers have to move in to videography to stay in the market, so they have no choice.

And did you know that the series finale House was only filmed on Canon 5D Mk II , so it shows how capable they are at video.

I called the reps at wolf camera and they say we shouldnt shoot serious vuideo with still cameras, however looking at what you did Im confused because it looks so good on youtube! Will it look as good on a large HD TV?

It is, except the D90 can support older lenses, has the display on the top, bigger but the D5000 is the same but has the swivel display and it is a bit smaller.
