  • lol, I love NY drivers. taxi just falls in behind the cop at 2:39 like "Now I'll just have him make me a hole to get through here."

  • i love when they play with the siren :D

  • i was in NYC for the first time in april. I miss it a lot.

  • whatsz the difference between the FDNY ambulance and the other one??

  • @bloodbath08 FDNY is strictly fire department. The other one was a hospital-provided ambulance. In NYC, it really just depends on the employers. In a lot of places in the US, 911 EMS is run by the local FD or some major private company, and anyone else does non-emergency transport. But in NYC, there are so many 911 calls in a day, the FDNY could use all the help they can get. But if you call 911 in NY, chances are, an FDNY bus is going to respond.

  • @bloodbath08 different station/hospital. others work for st vincent hospital, and FDNY works for the city.

  • @muscle1983 He says "move to your right" and then "I said right not left!"

  • what was the guy saying at 2:34

  • he was telling the cars to "move to the right", and the cars moved to the left so he said "i said right not left"

  • thanks

  • i hate what FDNY has on their rigs! real firetrucks have either a federal Q or EQ2B, powercall. not gay ass sirens that you constantly have to push the button for them to sound!

  • some do have eQs and they arent allowed to have real Qs. Does some serious ear damage with all of the sound bouncing off the buildings. I know some Trucks on the outer edge of town have Qs though.

  • cop is jokes. "i said right, not left"

  • @blackhawk777 Those dumbass taxi drivers dont listen lol

  • I don't see the time that arrives to me the ford victory of the police that I have ordered I am Italian XD

  • Awesome video!

  • i like the US siren, here in Germany are the siren different, but they change a little bit.

the siren at 1:20 and 1:32 are great!!! :)

  • its the federal signal ms4000

  • 1:14 whats this siren model? pls reply

  • its not a different type of alarm is just us switching between siren modes and it makes this sound.

  • fed sig pa4000

  • Where was this taken? There was barely any traffic at all.

  • Between Central Park and SoHo. Some clips were taken on a sunday morning (e.g. first one at the times square it was 7 a.m.). that maybe explains why there were not too many traffic.

  • quantum fires, traffic accidents, robberies ... happen every day in new york? thank you for responding

  • well it makes since, here in AR where i live all police are blue only and fire/ems are R/W but in MO where i work EMS everybody is R/B lol just seems strange to change it now ya know after all these years... thanks for the answer!

  • no problem, also cause DUI is on the rise in NYC so highway patrol units can be seen far away on a highway especailly on new year's. blue lights can be seen farther in the distance then red lights.

    take care

    -Al

  • What is he exactly saying @ 2:25 and 2:32 ?

  • Anybody know why NYPD started putting blue in the back on the vector bars???

  • yes, so people now its the police instead of fire or ems.

    NYPD= White, red, blue lights

    FDNY/EMS = white & red lights.

mostly Highway patrol units had the blue lights on the vector bar, but since summer of 08 the NYPD started adding blue lights to most of the there patrol cars.

and blue lights are COOL =)

  • It's not that they're cool or to distinguish from Police, it's because that Blue is much more noticeable then either Red or White lights. Especially when it's on an LED Vector bar.

  • your right too, but i think i'm also right bro.

  • Also volunteer firefighters in New York (Not the city) use Blue lights to respond to either fire scenes or their departments.

  • i've seen a couple in the city also. the have it on the dash or rear of thier personal cars. its sometimes blue or green.

  • It is illegal for a police vehicle to have a forward facing blue light in New York State. The NYPD has put blue rearward facing for greater nighttime visibility.

  • @DrArt1 suffolk county PD has rear facing blue lights as well.

  • True.
