  • Grown man.. forward deployed in a combat zone.. and this brought me to my knees with tears..

  • Thanks for sharing, very powerful!

  • Wow

  • Myles Munroe disagrees with Romans 5:8, which says, "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Myles Munroe teaches, "Jesus died but Christ didn't". Funny because the bible says the God raised CHRIST from the dead.

  • "He absorbed all of God's wrath for you and I?" No. "He absorbed all of God's wrath for you and ME". You wouldn't say, "He absorbed God's wrath for I"; you would say, "He absorbed God's wrath for me". God's wrath for me has been absorbed by Jesus.

  • It's one thing to stay a disobedient sinful "child" but If anybody here is bold enough to say Jesus Christ suffering on the cross the wrath of God wasn't enough, that you need to live a holy enough to go along with Christs blood, you are committing the grossest of sins straight from the pits of hell. Matthew 7 21-23 might want to resign-ate with you for a little while, The Father will not allow you to take away from the Holy punishment his son faced to save sinners like you and I. God bless.

  • Just to clear things up...

I actually originally made this video, so I listened to the whole sermon a few times.

Chandler is saying is that we like to "add" to the cross regarding righteousness. we say it's the cross, plus obedience. But it's NOT.

Faith produces works as we walk with God, but the emphasis shouldnt be on OUR obedience/repentance. The emphasis is the Gospel.

Please read Galatians 2:21 & 3:1-5, it's the text that he based the sermon off of, it might clear things up.

    Love you all!

  • This is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • If it's no effort on our part, then everyone is saved. I thought I had to worship him. This is great news.

  • We were justified by Christ's blood. Accept Him as your Lord and Savior and believe in Him. The Father sees His Son in us that's why were spotless. Nothing to with ourselves. Christianity means death to self and life in Christ.

  • So basically, we can be total dicks and go to heaven while good people suffer God's wrath?

You're missing the entire point of the word "believing." Jesus was a TEACHER. If you BELIEVE in a TEACHER you follow his teachings. You do not simply BELIEVE he existed. This is where the church screws up. "Do what you want folks, because YOU ARE FORGIVEN!" That's Paul, not Jesus. Jesus calls for you to take up your cross and follow him. LIVE a Christlike life -- this is truly believing.

  • @8sstevens you`re spot on dude. I was thinking the same thing. You cannot just live in sin and believe Jesus existed and go to heaven, you must live a christian life to truly believe.

  • @8sstevens I think the book of 1 John clears this up.My favorite is verses are 6: which says "Everyone who remains in Him does not sin; everyone who sins has not seen Him or known Him. and verse 9 "Everyone who has been born of God does not sin, because God's seed remains in him; he is not able to sin because has been born of God."

This does NOT mean, obviously, that Christians are perfect. Rather, it means it is impossible for God's children to be charged with sin and to live in sin

  • @8sstevens I think that the ultimate aim is that through recognition of our sins and true repentance we are made right with God. Obviously like @bbplayerav has said we cannot live sinful lives and still believe ourselves to be christians. If so we show that our repentance was meaningless in the first place - why would we want togo back anyway? Gad has given us an amazing gift, how can we refuse it after acknowledging it?

  • @8sstevens Also just to add, this is a response to the idea that we can come to God of our own merit. That is wrong. We are sinful by nature, therefore we cannot be reconciled with a perfect God, however, through his son's sacrifice, we can be reconciled, and that is what needs to be focused on. Anything else just falls into place if we truly accept it.

  • IDK why but i can just watch this all day.

  • for people who have not read the Bible........

    SPOILER ALERT!!!

    ..........Jesus dies

  • @xPray2die2dayx and Jesus rises three days later overcoming sin and death : ) --"The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life—only to take it up again. No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father.”- Jesus Christ, John 10:17-18

  • @xPray2die2dayx I'll do you one better, SPOILER ALERT!!! He rose and will come again!!!

  • Good. Please show me how I can do a video with words like yours. Thanks

  • ....well this just flipped a nice bird to the "church" (church as in the rules and such of it)

  • Not only love the massage. I love how you present it with an interactive and interesting typography. Well done making sure the audience keep reading and watching. thanks for sharing

  • hey josedm3 what sermon is this from?

  • I love Matt's voice, you can hear the emotion in his voice when he talks about the Lord.

  • So what caused you to watch this video then? And if everything is just a coincidence and God isn't real, then there is a whole lot of coincidences happening when I pray about something and the next day that prayer is answered when there is no way possible of that request actually happening. God hears. He moves. He will reveal Himself to you if you ask Him too.

  • @Hiphopemas Your Father loves you....

  • @Hiphopemas Well, atheist scientists would tell us that things like love, or beauty doesn't really exist since the brain creates illusions and chemicals move about to make us feel a certain way, and we give it a fanciful name, to state it simply. It would seem then that without imaginary friends, we can't function. And nothing has real meaning. As a christian, I would ask you to really look into who God really is, and why faith is more than reasonable. Open something in you and try :)

  • @mukeh111 Well, atheist scientists would tell us that things like love, or beauty doesn't really exist .>> Where did you learn this bulls... ? In bible-class ?

  • @ndzoko You're funny :) I got this from actually listening to atheist scientists like Steven Hawking. And like you, hypothetically, I agree that this atheistic science conclusion is 'bull'.

  • @mukeh111 Christianity in a nutshell. Once upon a time, god decided to redeem mankind, to save it from HIS hell. He will send his son(himself) to earth to be sacrificed in atonement for all the sins committed against HIMSELF. To do so, he chooses a people and makes sure they know of his intentions by sending prophets. But if they know he is the Messiah, they will not murder him and spoil the plan. So, He makes the prophecies vague and lo an behold, they execute his plan. What a divine script.

  • @ndzoko Wow...um, sorry, it's like you're trying to show how little you understand about Christianity. For one thing, Jesus is the central part of the plan in creating humanity. A better argument would be to question why we had to be made in the first place. The mere fact that God made us with all the problems that haunt our beings could possibly make the ignorant question the morality of God. Go to Bible class...you would be pleasantly surprised at what you would learn :)

  • @mukeh111 Go to Bible class...you would be pleasantly surprised at what you would learn :) Haha.. You made my day. I teached bible class, probably for longer than your life . Why don`t you just refute my comment sentence by sentence ? Was it god`s plan that Jesus would be crucified ? Is it not true , if they had recognised the Messiah, they would not have crucified him ? So, show me if there is anything wrong, with my REALISTIC assessment of salvation

  • @ndzoko I like where this is going. Don't you think that some of the people that cried for His blood had witnessed his miracles? Maybe you're insinuating God made sure they didn't recognize Jesus on purpose. Have you really thought about how fickle we are, and why? And why stop at Jesus? What about Judas? Didn't God make sure he did what he did? Heck God makes everything happen as it happens, right? Have you heard of what some call God's moral will vs God's decreed will? search and you will find

  • @mukeh111 Maybe you're insinuating God made sure they didn't recognize Jesus on purpose. Of course that is what happened. If they had recognised him, would they have crucified him ? Would salvation have been accomplished.?? Are you insinuating that it was not god`s plan that Jesus be sacrificed. ?

  • @ndzoko I believe it was God's decreed plan for Jesus to be sacrificed knowing that people would still crucify Him despite all He did and taught. He did not force people's will, but used what was supposed to be (and is) bad for the good of all mankind. God never shied away from telling people not to kill, or to speak through the prophets and scripture and perform miracles through Jesus, but we killed Jesus nonetheless, and God used the otherwise hopeless conclusion for much good.

  • @ndzoko You need to re-read the Bible. This time, try to find out why God does what He does and says what He says. Even without being God, one can find sound moral answers to the above statements. If you are actually willing to seek for answers, then you would look for yourself as a learner, not as a judge, and the answers will come, and you will be surprised. Really look at your statements one by one, and research and ask. I can even recommend some other books if you're willing.

  • @mukeh111 But the very best one is the Bible, and God will show you if you are willing. Just ask.

  • @ndzoko I'm curious as to whether you would read something in the Bible and say to yourself, 'God killed this man simply because He wanted to kill this man' without asking if there is something you're not realizing when looking at the bigger picture...the whole story in context. Read 'Is God a Moral Monster?' by Paul Copen. It's should be interesting. Or watch videos on Youtube by Prof. William Lane Craig. There's much evidence to discover. God bless :)

  • "The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life—only to take it up again. No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father.”- Jesus Christ, John 10:17-18.

  • @aseaton0604 First of all he didn`t lay down his life, because he (supposedly) resurrected. Secondly, you have not a single piece of evidence for this( supposed) resurrection. How many people(supposedly) resurrected on that first EASTER?

  • yes!

  • That's wonderful. God saved us from his own wrath by putting his son on the cross. Seems a little 'round about to me, but I appreciate the effort.

  • The purity of the gospel and a great explanation of what the good news is for sinners like me and you. Love my Pastor Matt!

  • The Gospel is such an amazing love story :) this video makes me cry every time

  • @jjr372 It is negative because the focus is on how terrible/unworthy we are as individuals.

  • @Btorin EXACTLY! We are unworthy, we are terribly rebellious against God. We are ultimately depraved and do not deserve any kind of salvation in the slightest. That's why the word "gospel" means good news! It is good news because while were continuously rebelled against God, he looks down and says, I WILL FORGIVE THEM! WOW! Praise God for the Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ, without whom there is no salvation.

  • I don't see the negativity in this? It is pretty fantastic.

  • This is pretty negative.
