definatly early stoppage especially with the fact misaki is a dangerous person on the ground. Manohoef also being a guy that doesnt want to get on the ground due to the fact he will likely get submitted shows that the ref stopped it early when misaki feet were already into position for a counter. A little dissapointed but melvin is a bad dude.
the judo guy from ufc 1(2 I think it was) wasn't gerard gordeau but he means remko pardoel. god that announcer (not mezger btw) is such a stupid pile of shit. gordeau was a kickboxer then.
All three of them are morons. Go listen to everysingle nonsense those three (Metzger, Mayhem, and the Fag with accent) spewed throughout the night.
They were saying that Kid Yamamoto did enough to win. They also miss judged several rounds. I thought all three of them were on drugs of something. Or they were trying to guestimate what the Japanese (biased and random) judges were gonna rule.
Early stoppage. This was a knock down, not a ko. If the refs start assuming a fight is over, were going to see more premature stoppages. Yes, manhoef is a beast but it's not fair to stop this fight, without manhoef finishing misaki.
People~ Get a grip! Misaki could have died, if the ref didn't stop the fight. Melvin's punching power is too much for the ref to ignore in that situation. Misaki should thank the ref for stopping the fight before he got crippled.
On March 19, 2009, Misaki was pulled over by a police officer for talking on his cellphone while driving, when pulling over Misaki attempted to flee the scene, knocking into the arresting officers' car. On June 26, the Tokyo District Court sentenced him to one year of prison, which has been suspended for three years.
Misaki fought and beat Kazuhiro Nakamura at Sengoku 9, however he did not receive pay, and went on immediate indefinite suspension after the fight.[4]
quick stoppage for sure but nice job by melvin

Sokoudjou Would Be A Better Opponent For Manhoef In Strikeforce.

Misaki is lucky the ref saved his ass from a gnp beatdown! Does anybody else remember what happened to Sakuraba after Manhoef rocked him?

Ref ruined a perfectly good fight. The entire Dynamite 2009 event was filled with bad match-ups and terrible calls.

k1 needs some good referees... They should meet the following prerequisites:
1) Knowing when to make a call.
2) Knowing when to stop to fight.
3) Good sense of justice.
...
Forget all those. I hope they don't put dumpshits as referees

early stoppage. lame.
I love how Ref's assume that just because Manhoef scores a knockdown you must be DONE.
Thats not intelligent reffing.

wtf? No KO, punch with the guy down? Wtf was this decision?
paulogomescoelho 2 years ago
its not a decision, unless you mean the decision the ref made to stop the fight, which is usually referred to as a call.

Looks like they intend to screw Misaki harder than they screwed Sokoudjou.
