The only thing I really dislike is the shift ability, It may help online but with driver games I was only ever interested in the story line and I think shift moves driver away from what it used to be.

That is what makes GTA a cool game! the variation of cars makes the game feel realistic, it got a good line of sedans, pickups, SUVs, compacts, vans, minivans and of course supercars :P Of course I don't want a game filled with only cars like Camrys and Accords, but they set the atmosphere! I don't want to see a Zonda or a RUF at every corner! I want to be able to drive a supercar, and don't see the same car over and over again

Is there a take a ride mode? In my opinion, this game is looks quite low budget, ped models all react the same to oncoming vehicles, just by moving to the side (how unrealistic), I don't see any vehicle damage. It's like the cars are made of rubber and can just bounce off each other. Admittingly the scenery loosk good but GTA looks better i think. A poor effort to say the least.

Talking about realism - I didn't see a single Prius and Frisco is the world's capital of Prius drivers! Instead you have supercars lurking on every corner like the Zonda. It's so rare you'd never see two in one place and now suddenly San Francisco, America's most eco-conscious city is overrun with these exotic supercars, Fiats and Alfa Romeos! Do they even sell any cars in America? They bragged about using real licensed cars but seem to forget that that all those DO NOT EXIST on American roads!

What I mean is that the old Driver games were all about realism, you know? Realistic driving & damage modeling?! This game looks like a f*cking arcade game compared to the other Drivers. In this game you are able to take turns at high speeds without losing control like it's Midnight Club or something.

Plus in the other Drivers, it didn't have some "very" unrealistic capability like the car swap feature.

I thought that in the original they made the physics to emulate that of a Hollywood car chase, and thats what they did here with the loose suspension, and drifty handling, and you cant compare this to midnight club, because in midnight club, the cars feel like they have no weight at all, and you can launch 150 ft in the air, here the cars are heavy, and jumping is a bad thing if you want to keep the pace up. Just like in the old ones.
