My teacher gave me that chocolate and It tasted like tar and gravel (the texture). It wasn't that spicy. I gave some to my friend (he thought it was milk chocolate) he went crazy spitting all over everything
Firstly I love all your videos. I am learning japanese so I am able to learn the articulation a bit :D
Yes Lindt is from Switzerland. The best chocolate ever! I guess the only factory is in Aachen in Germany. I live near Aachen so I can have so much as I want. (^_^)
It is quite expensive but when you buy in the factory it is okay.
the chocolate is so good, but I love the dark chocolate the most, I eat 90% dark :D. But yeah, it's a good brand (costs $3 each at my area). Love the chocolate. And yes, the chili chocolate is spicy if you eat it, no lie...
oh, the chocolate drew damp in shipping, you can tell by the color. too bad. i've had that one and it is so good. the chili just leaves a warm feeling in your mouth and throat but doesn't take away from the sweetness. i nice warm taste instead of the spicy hotness chili gives to savory food.
I really like your videos. The Lindt chocolate is a good brand, and they try to mix new flavors in their chocolate. My favorite so far is cherry/chili/ dark chocolate.. A bar like you have costs about $2.50 or so in the US. A Hershey bar about that size costs about $1.50. It looks like the chocolate bloomed from not being at a correct temperature. It doesn't affect the flavor, but the color should be a deep brown, almost black. I can't wait to see more videos.
I was always jealous of all the Japanese candies, but now I know that America has a lot of candies Japan doesn't have either. I guess the grass isn't really greener on the other side.
That chili chocolate retails about 2-4 dollars, but around some neighborhoods, sales are amazing! I can get for a dollar sometimes. :)
I had a feeling that that Chili Chocolate was going to burn your rifles out. XD I was drooling over the Candy Corn Dots though. I love ALL varieties of Dots candy! Say, do they have Dots in Japan? n.n Mmm, it would be awesome if they made varieties of Dots localized for Japan, like Wasabi, Cherry Blossom or Green Tea Dots!
I wonder if they sell this particular lindt's chocolate here. In Singapore, Lindt's pretty expensive, like you said because they have quite some cocoa in their products. Over here, their dark cocoa chocolate's pretty famous (selling in supermarkets) and I love their christmas gift wrapped chocolate! In comparison, the price is more expensive than Australian Cadbury and such...
Lindt is from Switzerland. Swiss chocolates are the best although I have to say that there are better brands than lindt in switzerland - its still a very good product though.
I've eaten the Lindt Chili chocolate before and I have to say that it didn't look like that- the chocolate looks old or was in intense heat, the color is very faded... Hope you didn't eat too much of it.
Congratulations on that present. Smells rich... no doubt about it. Lindt is THE top brand chocolate in Europe. I don't think there is better (and more expensive) chocolate that you can buy in a regular supermarket.
Your specimen was probably stored for a while or it took a few weeks to reach you because it should be dark brown. If it looks "dusty" it means that the cacao-fat has partly vaporized, which greatly reduces the taste.
I second unbad13's question, how does someone send you a treat or something if they want to? I know I love your cooking stuff- the egg drop soup was great when I had my cold a while ago. I'd like to send you a package for Christmas/the winter solstice if I can. You're my favorite, most helpful, youtube show.
Lindt chocolate is very nice. The one you have isnt cheap but not too expensive either. In canada it costs about 3$. There are many flavors like milk chocolate or 60% cocoa but my favorite is fleur de sel. A tiny dash of salt on 70% dark chocolate makes a world of difference in taste and I think you should try it some day.
Wooooo hotchuweeee lol well it wasn't that hot I hv flipino friend that makes all kinds of flipino food I mean like straight from the pliapines it's really interesting I'll hv to post some of the food they make thanks for posting
Mexican chocolate err well chocolate from Mexico has some chili in it. Some of the chocolate does. Also, the lollipops are covered in chili powder. So, its spicy and then sweet =] My husband is Mexican and we go to Mexico to visit his family. I love Mexican candy.
That chocolate looks like it got hot and then cooled down, which means it's not in the best shape. I've had that chocolate, and it usually looks dark like regular chocolate. It doesn't hurt to eat it - it's just not as good as it can be!
lindt is one of the best switzerland chocolate brand! (if we r not talking about belgian chocolate... yum!) i love it. espacially their dark chacolate product range. i love the one with blackberry.
@runnyrunny999 A lot of those candies are very common in the US. The "Lindt" brand of chocolate isn't very expensive, but it's not a cheap chocolate either.
