These people need to stop looking for a leader and look to themselves to decide how best to prepare. I understand the anxiety but we 've seen what happens when you leave it to the "experts" to handle things and tell you what to do. The info is out there, not just on youtube. I visit this channel for economic updates, links and Charmin' Charlie's viewpoint . And checking out others' comments and their own channels.
It seems that any channel that has a different view than the main stream media has been under attack. If these people say anything other than things are getting better, no matter if it is in black & white in front of everyone, they get attacked. I have a family members who know matter what you put in front of them, they do not won't to hear it. they just think that I'm all doom and gloom. some people will just have to be shocked into waking up, were others see things for what they are.

DonHarrold has a good new video out today about the collapsing dollar. I saw a currency collapse in Brazil in 1990. It's not pretty, but people muddled through. They were poorer, but ...well, they're Brazilians. I like them.

i don't trust gold. i think they prepared for that. plus in all the gold we harvested in all our history is just out there doing nothing. it's value is meaningless if there is no demand. and in time of hunger and unrest, why should there be any demand for it?
see, the problem is that most people tend to model their thinking on a modified version of our society. u need to reset and rebuild completely to get an accurate model.
Thank you for the time and effort that you spend keeping us informed. I have mentally prepared but sadly that is the only preparation that I can do at this time. With no income, I have had to concentrate on being as self sufficient as possible. I can feed myself for 40 cents a day + fuel cost and I'm working full time on solar cooking and alternate energy of all kinds. Keep your channel the way you want it. Follow your heart.

Thanks for mentioning precious metals again. You're absolutely right that no matter what happens, they are a great play right now. Even if you don't agree they're manipulated downward and super undervalued, you're going to either profit, or protect your purchasing power at the very least. I hope everybody is looking into this in a serious way and not just nodding and going "yeah, silver, good idea" and then not doing anything about it.
Something that occurred to me while watching this. Yes, the financial system, game, ruse, whatever you want to call the mess that we created in 1913 and are still trying to fix today, is broken and going down. It's over. And yes, we currently have no other system set up to conduct our business, trading, distribution, and so on. What if instead of focusing on fixing the system before it collapses and turns life into chaos, we made a NEW system that actually works, and switched over. Just a thot.
I can't stress it enough - your focus is PERFECT. Don't change for anyone. Adapt to the changing conditions, sure, but don't worry about those who think you should be focusing on a broader spectrum of topics. Pleeeease. :)

look preparation is different for everyone...so i dont have a problem with your not telling folks how to prepare...keep on doing like you are...i look at more than one source of information and news commentary...yours is one of just a handfull that is worth watching
Hey Charlie, each channel can have a broad, or specific, purpose. If people are upset your channel isn't a one-stop-shop type of deal, too bad for them. Sure, you focus a lot on making the case for collapse. That's vital. Maybe 10% of the population is aware, so any work that can be done here is hugely important! Do what you do best, don't try and cater to specific disgruntled viewers. You'll just end up watering yourself down, and for what, to please a couple people. What you're doing is right!
Charlie--- Keep on doing what you are doing. It works! You have your niche. It's exactly a compliment when people want to learn more from YOU. They like you. But there are only enough hours in a day. Do what you do and don't think anymore of it. I wish everyone were on board with us with this information!

My theory on gold/silver is this. If gold/silver goes DOWN in price.. I am going to buy. If it goes UP in price.. I am going to buy. It's not about profit, it's about preservation. Not to mention the REAL prices have been suppressed significantly. It doesn't matter what the market values gold/silver at. Gold/silver is MONEY while paper "money" is CURRENCY. There is a difference.
This channel isn't meant to be entertaining (even though it is often) it is meant to be REAL and rooted in REALITY. This is YOUR channel and you can do whatever the hell you want with it. As far as preparation goes, it's not rocket science. Have 1 year supply of food/water/guns/ammo/gold/silver/take money out of bank/spread the word/prepare mentally/read a book on survival/create a bug out bag. That's it. Only 53% of the budget of the US is covered by taxes. The other 47% has to be borrowed or printed. The debt is so huge that increasing the interest rates to double digits as happened during the 1980's would mean that all of the taxes collected would go to service the interest on the debt. How can any intelligent human being assume that this can end in anything other then a run on the dollar.

I think the easiest thing we can all do is get rid of all of our magazine subscriptions and cable tv service. Use the money you save to buy gold, silver, food, ammo etc. If you live alone in a 1 bedroom apt. move to a studio apt. to free up more money for surviving whats coming. Dont buy new clothes, go to garage sales to help your neigbors and save money.

In hyperinflation, gold doesn't soar in value, it HOLDS value, while fiat money looses value.
Inflation is in the distant future and hyperinflation is highly unlikely.
Deflation is slowly accelerating at the moment and will continue to do so.
Buy a little physical gold and silver now, on price dips, but buy in quantity when deflation is at it's peak. (around 2012 IMO)

agree that you should keep doing what you feel comfortable doing.
i don't trust gold. i think they prepared for that. plus in all the gold we harvested in all our history is just out there doing nothing. it's value is meaningless if there is no demand. and in time of hunger and unrest, why should there be any demand for it?
see, the problem is that most people tend to model their thinking on a modified version of our society. u need to reset and rebuild completely to get an accurate model.

Thank you for the time and effort that you spend keeping us informed. I have mentally prepared but sadly that is the only preparation that I can do at this time. With no income, I have had to concentrate on being as self sufficient as possible. I can feed myself for 40 cents a day + fuel cost and I'm working full time on solar cooking and alternate energy of all kinds. Keep your channel the way you want it. Follow your heart.

Thanks for mentioning precious metals again. You're absolutely right that no matter what happens, they are a great play right now. Even if you don't agree they're manipulated downward and super undervalued, you're going to either profit, or protect your purchasing power at the very least. I hope everybody is looking into this in a serious way and not just nodding and going "yeah, silver, good idea" and then not doing anything about it.

Something that occurred to me while watching this. Yes, the financial system, game, ruse, whatever you want to call the mess that we created in 1913 and are still trying to fix today, is broken and going down. It's over. And yes, we currently have no other system set up to conduct our business, trading, distribution, and so on. What if instead of focusing on fixing the system before it collapses and turns life into chaos, we made a NEW system that actually works, and switched over. Just a thot.

Hey Charlie, each channel can have a broad, or specific, purpose. If people are upset your channel isn't a one-stop-shop type of deal, too bad for them. Sure, you focus a lot on making the case for collapse. That's vital. Maybe 10% of the population is aware, so any work that can be done here is hugely important! Do what you do best, don't try and cater to specific disgruntled viewers. You'll just end up watering yourself down, and for what, to please a couple people. What you're doing is right!

My theory on gold/silver is this. If gold/silver goes DOWN in price.. I am going to buy. If it goes UP in price.. I am going to buy. It's not about profit, it's about preservation. Not to mention the REAL prices have been suppressed significantly. It doesn't matter what the market values gold/silver at. Gold/silver is MONEY while paper "money" is CURRENCY. There is a difference.

This channel isn't meant to be entertaining (even though it is often) it is meant to be REAL and rooted in REALITY. This is YOUR channel and you can do whatever the hell you want with it. As far as preparation goes, it's not rocket science. Have 1 year supply of food/water/guns/ammo/gold/silver/take money out of bank/spread the word/prepare mentally/read a book on survival/create a bug out bag. That's it. Or just LEAVE and don't complain. Again, "doom gloom" is REALITY.

Anyone who is looking to find ways to prepare.... It's too late. The amount of food stuffs that will be required is too much to try to buy right now, unless you have several thousands of dollars to go out and buy right now.
When the reality of the Economy, and the developing food crisis, hits the main stream news and the people... no amount of gold or silver will buy you what you need.
A world of hurt is coming, and it's going to be tough watching people with bags of gold and an empty pantry.

Show me a politician that get's elected promising to rain in spending and I will say that there is hope for the dollar. What is happening now is the buildup to massive inflation. The dollar is not backed by anything and can be printed without restrain. How possible is it that the government will not print money when faced with massive deflation?

Only 53% of the budget of the US is covered by taxes. The other 47% has to be borrowed or printed. The debt is so huge that increasing the interest rates to double digits as happened during the 1980's would mean that all of the taxes collected would go to service the interest on the debt. How can any intelligent human being assume that this can end in anything other then a run on the dollar.

I think of PM investment like this: It's as if someone told you, "Your house WILL burn down at some point over the next 10 years." If this was true, how many years would you let go by before buying an insurance policy? Would you say. I think the easiest thing we can all do is get rid of all of our magazine subscriptions and cable tv service. Use the money you save to buy gold, silver, food, ammo etc. If you live alone in a 1 bedroom apt. move to a studio apt. to free up more money for surviving whats coming. Dont buy new clothes, go to garage sales to help your neigbors and save money.

Truthers are to selective when it comes to matters of the truth, they only see those truths that suit their world view and IMO that is why they are so screwed.

There's a floor to this fall and I've a feeling we've started to approach it. Even now there are signs that things are lifting with GDP a bit more positive in parts of Europe now - France, Germany, Portugal.

I agree, I don't think you are obligated to tell people "how to prepare". Mental Preparation is the most important, as all your stored food, gold, generators, fall out shelter, ammo, duct tape et al may fail on you. ie another YouTuber who was prepared lost her house because it burned to the ground.
