  • YAY!!! (1/1)

  • FYI, Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds. L-S-D? Not to mention, one only has to watch the music video to really tell. Also to anyone who has done LSD or any psychedelic for that matter, the lyrics start to make a lot more sense, for example, "the girl with kaleidoscope eyes." Seeing kaleidoscope images, better known as fractals, is a pretty common visual to see on a moderate to high dose of LSD.

    The more you know! * ** *** **** !

  • Thank you, Michael Aranda.

  • Hank Green, you're incorrect! Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds was about a drawing that his son, Julian drew. So, I'm sorry.

  • @wellheyitsemily ya but an interview elton john AND paul mcartney admitted they have a hidden message about LSD in the song

  • Sorry Hank, but I'm a little more concerned with the cocaine on my dollar bill than the nose juices.

  • Bullshit, neither of those is true. Lucy was about his son's drawing, Puff was always a dragon, not a drug.

  • Kinder Eggs aren't illegal, I used to buy them all the time. Gotta love childhood

  • Kinder Eggs are illegal in the states because of the small parts inside.

  • omg seriously D:?? :O

  • I learned this on NCIS! :D

  • the kinder eggs fact scared me because I actually was eating a kinder egg when i saw that

  • Why did Hank say "nose juices"? What does that have to do with anything?

  • @PSspecialist Because people snort cocaine.

  • both facts in this video are false

  • I knew cause Canada is more paranoid than the US so we wouldn't have kinder suprises either.

  • i did this in my chem lab and tested 5$ bills and got traces of coke on 4/4 bills tested

  • Lucy in the sky with diamonds isn't about LSD. The "Lucy" who inspired this song was Lucy O'Donnell (later Lucy Vodden), who was a classmate of John's son Julian Lennon when he was enrolled at the private Heath House School, in Weybridge, Surrey. It was in a 1975 interview that Lennon said "Julian came in one day with a picture about a school friend of his named Lucy. He had sketched in some stars in the sky and called it Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds."

  • @letitbelove1 but he was so smoking something when he wrote it, even if the idea didn't come from drugs.

  • @puppyluveromg The Beatles were high when they wrote almost all of their songs. John Lennon had no idea that the name "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" could be shortened to the initials LSD. It is also completely unfair that Paul McCartney had the last say about the meaning song because John Lennon wrote the song and he is dead so he can't defend his work.

  • My friends told me those red markings you see on dollar bills are blood from sniffin cocaine ...

  • talking about drugs, he talks likes he's on some something! or is that just me.....?

  • When I first heard this, I thought "Come on, the humanity can't be that low right now".. But when I heard the ridiculous Kinder egg idea, I clicked on this one and.. guess what?

  • 1/1 although i do like those creme eggs :D

  • Sniffing all my money from this day.

  • so i knew the kinder was fail cuz i eat them all the time. oh...

  • Ummmm Hank, Neither of those songs were written about drugs...

  • both fail. neither of them apparently are about drugs. (im betting they are really, but the people who wrote them claim that they are not)

  • Such a fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine power.

  • It is commonly known. It's like an obvious, Only in America statement^^

  • the fuck?

  • are there mangas in the background???

    some from tokyopop?

  • This is a trick question for me because I happen to be obsessed with the Beatles and I know two theories. One, Lucy In The Sky with Diamonds is about LSD (Which I don't think is true, but, how could we know? I don't know Paul or Ringo) and two (The one i believe) John's son Julian showed him a picture which Julian titled "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" and this struck inspiration in John.

  • 1/1

  • i feel like those are both true..

  • @Finelite05 Pot = Marijuana

  • @Finelite05 *americans your're the pothead, i hope you don't miss 4:20

  • @Finelite05 cocaine isnt pot...

  • 1/1 so easy

  • 1/1 so easy

  • Pretty sure that study found that 4/5 20 dollar bills had traces of coke on them. Coke dealers wouldn't have any business with singles.

    Fail!

  • LOL

  • 1/1

  • 1/5 woot*

  • Hank...you fail. Despite many rumors that lucy in the sky with diamonds is about LSD, it was actually about Mr. Lenon's son's best freind lucy. One day the son came home from elementary school with a drawing and said, "Daddy look, its lucy in the sky with diamonds." Ergo, you fail.

  • Yay for 4/5 crack dollars *scoff and sigh*

  • 1 out of 5 so far

  • Kinder eggs were banned because they have that aluminum thing and its toxic

  • yay i question that i didnt have to guess on...what that say about me?

  • 1/1

  • 1/1

  • 1/1

  • So far 1/1!!!

  • 1/1

  • Please leave the Beatles alone...

  • I knew this one because I heard it on CSI or NCIS or something like that...

  • 1/1! Had to do it ... :D

  • LOL, I knew the Kinder Eggs one was false 'cause I used to eat them all the time when I was little.

  • I'm confused because I've heard both artists say that those songs were not about drugs.. Lucy in the sky was a picture Julian Lennon drew and Puff the Magic Dragon was written by the man before he had ever even experimented with drugs. He says Puff was a good dragon and would never have had anything to do with them... alright so I think I know what option I'll choose now..

  • @rabbitwho remember that there are 4 members of the Beatles. One of then did deny it, but another admitted it

  • I've seen the kinder toys at the mall haha.

  • no, lucy in the sky with diamonds is not about lsd.

John's son Sean drew him a picture when he was young. The picture was explained by Sean as a girl named Lucy flying in the sky with diamonds. The LSD rumor came from a guy who I'm guessing was an OCD guy with no life who noticed that Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds spells out LSD, but if you really look at it, it spells out LITSWD.

(i officially want to vlog about this, and I'm gonna!)

  • WHAT! Haha, i wasnt sure either of these were true but i guesssed!

  • 1/1

  • guess 1/1

  • 1/1

  • woot 1/1

  • neither is true. Puff was just a continuation of some typewriter junk, and Lucy in the Sky was inspired by a picture John's son made

  • Lucy in sky was admitted to as being about lsd

  • Some of the imagrey in the song, was almost certainly inspired by acid trips, but the song itself was not about LSD.
