I love this storyline also....and it's great that they got out of the studio and made this more life like....Bravo old GH......too bad there is none of this going on today...
Why does Duke think he has to go? He's been told by the spies that he shouldn't because of the danger, and he knows that Anna can take care of herself. She doesn't need his protection. What can't he take the fact that he isn't a trained spy? Being a mob flunky does not equal spy training.
I don't how the show is doing it but it seems they are able to bring all the audio conversation to the forefront and make it clear with all the bustle going on in the background. It is the conversations that take place that makes this story so funny. I don't care what the story is about, I am enjoying the dialogue!! LOL
Most likely the actors are wearing radio mikes under their clothes because in these crowd scenes it's too hard to have someone following them with a boom mike and dangle it over their heads. The radio mikes allowed the actors to walk freely through the crowds, without the GH director having to direct the crowd. Cheap and smart. Also I think they did some ADR (automatic Dialogue replacement). That's when you find you didn't get good sound on location and you have to record it and add it in later.
I've picked up sound at my church and just learned a couple weeks ago about convection mics. This are unidirectional and battery powered. THey only pick up where they're at. So, you put a convection mic under the actor's clothes (as Sweetcamera said) point it at the actor's mouth (or just up), it's going to catch what's being said and ignore everything else.
I love this storyline. I don't know what it is- maybe it's the creaking sound of Anna's cowboy boots, Robert's lanky legs and equine hat, the hokey music, their delicious English and Aussie accents against the tourist backdrop...whatever it is, it's casting a spell over me, LOL! Thanks as always robertannafan for bending to our pressure and embarking on another terrific storyline. You're awesome:)
I think for me it's the overall cheese while the actors are able to play it straight. TV (and soaps in particular) just aren't this much fun anymore. THere's just a feel that the actors had so much fun doing this stuff. I think that's what I enjoy most about it. at least.
Terry don't like that woman and she must know that she is up to someting. Poor Robin, she know that something is wrong. I don't think Duke should have left her but hew leaves anyways.
