When I was a single dad I used to put this song on to wake up my kids to go to school - trying to wake 'em up, and I'd pick them up out of bed and dance them around the room in my arms - :)

thanks! I was very young (22), & it was fun to be a father, a big daddy -- when it's your own flesh & blood, your own child, new & helpless but full of life, you just naturally want to make their life experiences be joyful, as much as possible -- but you know, little kids love to play; all you need to do is play with them, show them new things, joke & laugh with 'em, & care for & protect 'em when they need it - very intensive for a few years, and then you have new fam!

Got this on a 45 record...First song of Rick's that I rollerskated to ..in Toronto & Buffalo...love the instrumental section including guitars/saxaphone/brass horns/trumpets ..etc This may be 'old school' but it holds up well in today's environs as well!
