Horrible katas. A Krav Maga practitioner using those as improvised batons would probably be a far more effective fighter. Eastern Martial Arts are so phony.

Pretty cool. Though, practicing blocking a stick-wielding opponents hands usually means an extra leap to enter.

The movements are very strong and beautifull.

but the guy with the stick attacking at punching distance is allowing that kind of blocks that wouldn't be possible with proper stick fighting distance, right?

Some of the techniques in the video are maybe not the best in defense, or in attacking. There just regular juru's or kata's that they practice. It's always good to wonder if something is effective. It could work for someone but not neccesarely for you. Everbody is different and moves in each own way. Just use your own strong skills and build around that. I don't post the video's on a scale for effectivity. I'm just sharing as much as possible because it's still a form of arts.
