  • comes with the baaaaaaaagggg haha!

  • Throw it in the bag and your ready to go!

  • ahahaha "throw it in the bag"

  • Imma get those man!

  • Id liek to say, the HD 380s bass is EXCELLENT. Very well balanced, perhaps slightly bassy, but nothing compared to a beats where you feel there is a subwoofer in your ear. The bass in the 380 is very pleasent, not particularly 'tight', quite loose and pleasent to listen to whilst retaining excellent note seperation of the mid and upper range. And unlike some other headphones which claim to be bass heavy, actually has a great spectrum. 10hz frequency are easily heard, (or felt, at such low freq.)

  • The lightsaber hurt my ears.

  • Are you sure Sennheiser HD280 have no bass? You gotta have a good amp to get proper bass out of those. You can't power them with your phone. But you should have known that.

  • ...the dark side.... great review... might get one soon :P

  • confused whether to get this or bose quietcomfort 15. I like the noisecanceling feature..but never heard the shure

  • @udayaai if you are a producer and need stereo monitoring sound, get these. if you jsut want to listen, get the bose.

  • @udayaai The bose QC has an excellent cancellation. They don't really sound much better than the Shure, though. With bose you pay mostly for the ANC feature, and less for the sound. The shures have decent isolation and a pretty good sound. The bose is worth it if you don't like in-ear phones, but want good isolation for commuting. The shure are mostly there for the sound.

  • I bought these 2 months ago but i didnt like their bass. U can't hear low frequencies. Go for Audio Technica ath-m50, they are perfect in all frequencies.

  • finally someone who acually wears the headphones

  • those or bose

  • @spicydoenuts NOOO not bose never bose stay away from bose, Abbandon ship, to the escape pods, open the fire exit.

  • shure just came out with 2 new high end headphones SRH1440 , SRH1840 to be released soon.

  • is it me or does he look like Biggie?

respect my nigga. love you for making this review. peace bro.

  • Do a review on the srh940s I command you.

  • First when I read the most liked comment I went "just because he's black...". After seen the whole video, I thumbed the comment up as well.

  • i'd like to hear your opinioun on the sol republic tracs hd, jedi

  • QUALITY!

  • Hatters are gonna hat.

  • Im listening to this review with the SHURE 440 headphones, it makes the review sound so much better.

  • He is just taking it slow

  • This guy is freakin hilarious

  • hella drunk!!!

  • Thanks a lot man i picked these up mostly cause of the great review you did here! nothing fancy just str8 forward!

  • It's a trip watching this guy fumble-around while trying to unfold them; he's blitzed. hahaha

  • @asobermindisawasted1 hell ya i pissed on my self! lmao

  • can you used those for mixing and mastering?

  • your so coooool man!!

  • i know a man when i see one..and MANNN....U'RE THE MAN!! shure is awesome..

  • hey iv got a question, are these better than the shure SRH550DJ for listening to music (all music from rap to metal) and playing games

awsum review by the way :)

  • @ozzy1280 i have a pair and it's all-around awesome

  • @BabyEater9000 do you have a pair of the shure SRH440 or the Shure SRH550DJ ??

  • @ozzy1280 SRH440. Use it if you want to listen to music the way the musician intended it to be listened, but at a budget.

  • yo, bro. you know true sound quality. you're not one of those typical rappers trying to sell dr. dre's overpriced garbage illuminati over both the ear fuckers. great review, i love these headphones. been a year since i got them. they still go hard. BEST BANG FOR BUCK, i've done a lot of research on headphones people, believe. its worth every penny.

  • Im getting those headphones.

  • Beats by.........

  • @thedigitaljedi1 Question, can you fit any other 3.5mm or 2.5mm jack in the headphones? (Whichever one it is) or does it have to be the one that is provided with it?

  • Do you know if the earcups on this fit around the ear or just on them? I currently have the sennheiser hd202 and want to upgrade but, i want something with more room for their ears. If you can't compare the two, are the earcups a lot larger on the sennheiser hd 280 compared to these srh 440?

  • @failureisepic they are about the same size as the hd280 maybe just a tad bit bigger

  • good review, was bit sceptical at first but u rounded it up pretty nice, well done.

  • This guy's the man.

  • @Jackoustic lol word

  • your kidding, with Ipod touch sounds excellent? I don't think so, ipod sucks on the sound side.

    Amen.

  • WOW i was listening to that song before i watched this video/... my mind is blown

  • Cool, thank you. Good review.

  • " nice isolation.... let me get this open.. urgh...uh....urghh...(2 min later)...ah."

  • Just Throw it in the bag

  • Make more videos please, thats real shit!

  • i bought these thank you man i love them

ps you should make more videos like this

  • @oOoEntertaineroOo It's okay.

  • he's a fucking jedi.

  • @thedigitaljedi1 Nice review, planning to get this headphone, is this better then the beats studio? And is it also better then the audio technica ath-m50? Pls reply, thanks... :)

  • i am confused should i buy Shure SRH440 or sennheiser hd 448

  • I have original sennheiser's and I have to admit the bass was fucking rumbley, so I don't know lol, but I have the srh440's and they good shawty

  • Loved your review, your review was the kind of review I was looking for, I have definitely noticed the lack of powerful bass on Sennheiser, and AKG I have heard needs a tighter bass. Before I wasn't sure if the Shure headphones had bass, but now that I've seen your vid, they are definitely near the top of my list. Thanks!

  • 1:59 started lolling so hard

"lemme undo these ..." I KNEW HE WOULD FUMBLE THEM LIKE A FOOTBALL

  • Defo offer one of the best sound isolations I've seen.

  • This headphones are like beats by dr. dre studio..

  • Throw it in da bag ;)

  • thanks bro!

  • thnx bro

  • love to have a toke with this guy

  • 0:45 ... ok so they are definetly no portable.

  • this guy is high as shit

  • @MisterBranBran - true, but he's a quite descent demonstrator, without any doubts ;)

  • @MisterBranBran Haha.

I have some MK1 of the AKG K240 but recently the cord has started to come apart. Picked up some Sony MDR-XB700 and couldn't be happier.

  • Guys as of 5/4/11 amazon has the Shure SRH440 for $63! the price is so low that you have to put it in you cart before you can even see how much they cost so dont be upset when you see them listed as $89.

  • im getting 1 tomorrow..

  • okay no offense... but ur so black :D but so awesome

  • @ideasbulb I know a guy who literally has the skin color of this guys shirt.

Tops review @ the guy doing the review, covered everything i wanted to know

  • Yep- for price/performance ratio, these are very hard to beat... I do a lot of remixing/production work, so finding a set of cans this neutral and sturdy under $100 is a blessing... the 840s are more comfortable, but color the sound more. After trying out a wide variety of Grados, AKGs, Sonys, and Sennheisers (which was what I was replacing and had really liked) I went with the 440s, haven't looked back since. Love 'em!

  • I have those! Same impression. Good stuff!

  • thanks for the informative review, you helped me make my decision

  • Talkin bout the sennheisers sayin "NO BASS?!!!!"

dude you have no idea what your talking about. they have plenty bass, just without frequency peaks. this means that when producers listen to their tracks, they hear it how it is, not colored by their headphones into a 'better' sound.

  • Excellent review! You actually showed how it has minimum sound leakage! This is exactly what I was trying to research but no other reviewers demonstrated it. Thanks!

  • this review sux, as do those headphones. no offense homie

  • Nice informative review, I'll be picking these up soon!

  • @TheMatos17

    Ditto.

  • I listen to death metal, like really heavy shit, and this genre has a good amount of bass. I had Sony MDRNC7s before and they weren't the best but the bass was good and they broke recently. So what i wanna know is are the SRH440s a good deal for the price?

  • @HowBuyCrack i had the srh 240's and they got so loud i refered to them as over ear speakers and never once did i put em on my head...and i bought these....BETTER! period

  • These or the Denon D1100?

  • I just got these. The bass seems to be quite low. Does anyone know if the bass goes up after some burn in??

  • @sipp91 allow the usual 100 hours, theyll settle in

  • I would always go for over ear headphones, but they always make people look stupid

  • Are these good for regular listening? Amazon says these are studio headphones and would the 440 be flat like studio headphones or good for regular listening?

  • how heavy is the bass?also compared to the beats solos if possible

  • Question: Is that cable a regular audio-cable with two 3,5mm jack-plugs?

  • Yeah yeah yeah, I get it... an adapter that plugs into HIS mixer... So no use for us :S

  • this vs beats pro

  • i enjoy listening hiphop and i wanna know if these are good fore that. i'm also wondering if these are similair to the beats by dr. dre and of there are other good headphones

  • Just got these baby's and WOW! these are magnificent headphones. The construction, comfort is 10/10. The high's, mid's and low's are all present and are well balanced. Music and movies sound fantastic. People who say there is no bass are wrong i found the bass very pleasing very solid and does not overpower the sound. My ear's have an orgasm every time i use them. I was using Sennheiser hd 435,555 Shure 440 blow those headphones out of the water. For $100 Shure 440 are a steal.

  • Good Video man i was looking for something like this for my i pod, psp and so on.

  • Anyone know anything about the Shure SRH840 ?

  • hey,

how are these compared to bose on ear OE headphones

  • I was expecting him to zip up the bag, and even walk around with it to demonstrate. And i'm most surprised he didn't start vibin to Akon. lol. Great review, verging on hilarious!

  • love these headies...use em every day...got em for just 79$ cdn, best purchase I ever made.

  • great review jedi

  • How is the comfort are these? would my glasses between my head and the phones cause discomfort?

  • how are the bass on these?

  • perfect sound quality

  • ur right mate..i love this this unit.

  • Just bought these. thanks for the review.

  • sennheisers have no bass because they are german and that type of music is not as bass-affiliated

  • So would you say these would be a safe bet for use in public places? How much does it leak? Also how is it for music other than hip-hop?

  • @TheExprima yes the are sound isolating

  • These arrived an hour ago, and I LOVE them. People have told me the bass is lacking but they have plenty of bass, and its good tight clean bass. Its not 'doofy' but hardstyle, techno, rock, electronica , RnB all sound good :)

  • GOOD STUFF"!! ;-)

  • LOL, i love this guy..

  • Wow, a tough call though.

Well, i previously owned M50 myself, i sold it because it has overwhelming bass. First you will notice it lacks of bass, but keep it burn-in without unplug it for at least 24 hrs, u will notice the bass are becoming better and more control. Just try avoid listening from lower bit files, go high at least 320kbps. ANC7B are quite similar as well, bass is nicely controlled, yet deep and has good impact.

AKG as far i know had better bass than the Senn 555.

  • thank you for making this videos. im just wondering if these headphones have more bass than the beat by dr dre. if not, is the bass enough? and can it be use with an ipod nano/touch and still produced great/loud bass sounds?

  • @909nemesis Many professional audiophiles have tested the Beats and they said it suck. Probably its just the marketing effort they made to make it seem its quality. Its kinda dumb they promote it as HD sound (as the 1st time i heard sound will be in HD cuz i thought it only occurs to TV). I reckon they just change the words from high resolution to high definition. You won't go wrong with Shure as they have reputation in their in-ear. At first bass will be lack but after burn-in will be awesome

  • @jayxunned Thanks for your reply, do you think these will have more bass than the beats by dr dre studio after burning in? I trust their sound(Shure), but I'm a bass guy and I've tried the beats by dr dre but their bass are still not enough for me. I just want to know if these will have more bass than the beats. Thank you.

  • @909nemesis Since its a for studio purposes and audiophiles, There's limitation in bass though its still have quite a decent of bass. How should i said it, a more closed and thumping bass but not the boomy bass. I have not tried Beats my self but probably if you wanna go for bass Beats might the one i don't know, but its just my 2 cents since it claims to cater for bass head people.

  • @jayxunned Do you know any brand name headphones that has alot of bass and clear sound for under $160? I needed for my ipod nano/touch.

  • @909nemesis If that's the case i would recommend you Audio Technica ES7 series. First of all it looks totally cool to wear on meaning it actually outstand in the crowd but still remain a low profile. Secondly, this cans sound great with enough bass, outstanding midrange and detail treble you can get even better than the Beats. Well this is just my opinion, others may vary since i owned this ES7, i never put them away its alwiz by my side or inside my bag.

  • @jayxunned Thank you, is the es7 noise cancelling? If not, do you have other recommendations for noise cancelling headphones(with bass and clear sound)?

  • @jayxunned What do you think about the Audio Technica ATH-ANC7B Active Noise-Cancelling Closed-Back Headphones? Do you think they will have as much bass as the beats studio/es7?

  • @909nemesis Yea, i totally forgot the ANC7b.. yea they sound great as well. I reckon better than the ES7 but im not sure its $160 below cuz i recommend something within your budget. Or you can have a look on ATH-M50 or 80. They are better with punchy and powerful bass

  • @jayxunned Thanks alot man, I appreciate your help.

  • @jayxunned Hi, sorry for distracting you again. I have chose 4 headphones and I would like you to give some of your opinions about these 4 headphones. Thank you.

    1.)Audio-Technica ATH-M50 Studio Monitor Headphones

    2.)Audio Technica ATH-ANC7B Active Noise-Cancelling Closed-Back Headphones

    3.)Akg K142Hd K 142 Hd High Definition Headphones

    4.)Shure 750DJ

I already know the price for all of these and they are all under my budget. I just want the one that has the most bass, with clear sound.Thx

  • i was going to get these ones but they were all sold out so i but the next stage up the srh750dj headphones. they sound good. definately worth the 130$ i bought.

  • People... Get the 840

  • Thx bro

  • thanks, helpful reveiw i was thinking about getting the 280s but now im leaning towards these

  • what PC mouse u got there? im seeing allot of my buddies with it

  • @Joh447 Logitech MX518.

  • Just curious, have you ever compared these to the dre beats studios? Im thinking of getting them but the 200 dollars I'd save with these would be nice. Thanks!

  • Thank you for the review, man. I was considering which headphones to buy, and I think you videoreview made me decide that I will go for Shure 440.

  • i stopped watching when he got out his ipod

  • @nakazawafy lol ditto. No offense to this guy, because the review was pretty good, but I'm a tad wary of somebody who claims to know "a lot" about music quality yet listens to their music through an iPod Touch.

  • Thanks for the review man. I just ordered a pair of these.

  • If I carried these loosely in a backpack every day for an entire school year, would they hold up?

  • Comment removed

  • I'm having a hard time deciding between Grados SR80i and Shure SRH 440 anyone tested those two?

  • I would recomend this headphones as well. Unless your a headbanger as the band is very heavy and tends to move and shift if you do. But sound and comfort aside from that are great for the value

  • nice thanks for the review.

    DJ POw

  • Thanks for the review. I'm buying the SHURE 440, just based on your review and some comments here. The comparison to SENHEISSER made me clinch on to SHURE.

  • Ya man, I just returned my HD280's. Why, because no bass. I know that they are a flat response but still, I had nothing from 5 to 10 hz. no bass feel. Im going to give these guys a try now.

  • im not sure if to get the shure 440's, shure 840's or the beyerdynamic dt 770's pro.

i'll be using them for all types of music production, live performance, recording, mixing etc.

    can you help me out?

  • Good review brother, but you need to know the product you are speaking about before you make a comment. The HD 280s are moitoring headphone.....for short they give you exactly what is recorded in the music. I have both the 280's and 440 and they have just amount the same base. My suggestion to all, before you purchase either of these phones, try them out for a few hours. You can't go wrong with either.

  • Good Looking Bro, just bought the headphones today and you've reassured me that it was a good purchase, the price also dropped to 70.00! Thanks

  • bro tell me that the wire that comes with it is, 1/4 to 1/8 cord? 1/8 is 35 mm the default jacks on like iphones n shit.

  • I guess you have many headsets.

    plz tell me.

what is best sound isolation headset ?.

  • 2:58 Holy shit, SOLD!

  • I almost bought a HD 280 man, thanks to you I got SRH840 instead.

  • Thank you! Greetings from Germany!

  • just ordered a pair or these myself.

  • Which has better bass? 440 or 480?

  • Very helpful review. Getting the Shure SRH440s this weekend. Thanks a lot!

  • Nice, Thanks For The Review! Jedi

  • Why did I just KNOW he would say "Throw it in the bag"

  • @Marcotsu i was expecting him to zip the bag, and even walk around with it to demonstrate. And i'm most surprised he didn't start vibin to Akon. lol. Great review, verging on hilarious!

  • how would you compare the SRH440 to the HDJ 2000 replies thanks Just purchased it

  • have you ever try the bose headphones? Do you think this one will have more bass than the boss ones?

  • it's more about the use of the phones... if you're just listening to music then you do want colored sound... if you're creating them or your main usage is studio related, then you need something flat. The sennheisser HD 280 are probably better for that, but the real problem with those is that they have tendency to crack near the cans.

    I love the Beyerdynamic DT770's

  • Good information. Nice review. Thanks !

  • sennheisser HD 280 Pro Arent supposed to have bass... They are designed for professional monitoring applications... which means you are wearing them while recording... Monitor headphones, like monitor loudspeakers, are meant to have flat, uncoloured, un-exaggerated response across a wide frequency range. They're not meant to sound "sweet" or "bassy"; they're just meant to deliver the input signal cleanly to your ears... please get experience and understand the equipment you review... Thanks

  • Nice headphones.

    I got the AKG k240 for $98.

  • do you know if you can buy the Red dre beats cable seperatley and use it on these

  • @TheGoldenTones yes you can, any normal audio cable.

  • Killer. Thanks for the review, man. Definitely answered several key questions I had about various features. Look pretty awesome, for a very decent price. Think I'm gonna go for 'em. Gracias.

  • idk bro....just bought these today literally.....souds FANTASTIC! but i thought these headphones lacked bass...i had a pair of Sennheiser HD 212 Pro before these and i felt that those were bassier (actually much bassier) than the shure's.... AND they had a detachable cord as well.... The Sennheisers were much cheaper in price, but also cheaper in quality.... These Shure's are top quality i can tell.... but i just wish it was bassier.... all in all i would give these a 7-10 -THX!!!

  • @imTM420 If you want more bass out of your SRH440's, buy some SRH840 pads for $20. They're a lot more comfortable and increase the low end quite a bit. Easy to swap out too.

  • Yes this is what I call a good review!!!!!! Short, precise and no details left.

    Perfect!!!! I want these :)

  • i have the same mouse! It sucks that they dont have mac support...

  • great review man, i was just wondering if these have good noise isolation and you sure showed me that they do

    props man

  • if you liked the SRH 440, you'll love the SRH 750 even more. Those a
