I'm learning this now, and I go back and forth between renditions. I'm torn between Horowitz 40s version and this one. Gould's last mov't is a little sluggish, but his 1st mov't seems to be the closest to what I imagine Serge's vision was...the super fast versions seems to sound more clowny than military. Anyway, I'm sure glad Im working on it!
@loboris1995 No it was not dedicated to Richter... Richter premiered it, but was not the dedicatee... the 8th sonata was dedicated to Emil Gilels and the 9th was dedicated to Richter...
