Does your engine CRD diesel particulate filter? I'm not sure whether you have all these engines, but I know it's sudden, the investment recovery or disposal. Do you have any experience with it?
Hello once again. I think it doesn't have particulate filter, but I'm not 100% sure. I think European units didn't have it, at leat the first ones (this was bought in May '06). At the time, I remember BRABUS (Startech for Chrysler/ Jeep) made a good deal of publicity regarding they could install one.
A very clean engine either way. Never saw smoke coming out of the exhaust.
@12325866 Yes. It was brand new back then (3 months, 8400 km).
The backgound noise was due to a defective diferencial, replaced at 80k km. Chrysler didn't want to pay for it, but were forced. The car was still under warranty.
The only problem it had so far, now with 130k km on the clock.
This engine can rev up to 4500 rpm, at least. But you gain nothing doing that, and that's why the gearbox changes at lower rpm's.
This engine is tuned for torque.
As Rudolphna54 said, the BMW 3.0 biturbo revs to 5k rpm, and that's why it has so much more power than this, despite the comparable torque. That's an engine tuned for power.
@musubi69 You are comparing it to big, 10, 11, 12L truck Inline 6 diesels. This is a small diesel. The Jetta TDI, BMW Diesels all go about this high in terms of RPM. Heck I think the BMW 335d does almost 5k.
Если это crd 3.0 То есть merrcedes схуяли он v6 вдруг стал? всегда был рядник.
