- Plus you have a perfect manual transmission, it makes a huge difference because as you know Subaru still insists on the very old technology, inefficient, long gear ratio, 4 speed automatic transmissions.
- So when you add up all these differences, my car probably need to be at least 185 hp with auto-stick to be able to match your car...
fail for the automatic lol jk man

By the way what the heck is 2.0R???
The legacy only comes with 2.0D, 2.0i and 2.5i. It does not come with an R model.
The R model is 3.6R and only comes with the outback and the 2.0R comes in Impreza.

That was very slow indeed, if you did floor it.
That's why I will choose the diesel on my next car that will be the outback.
Tourque is everything when it comes to drivability.
I really hope you did not floor it there, cause if you did that was mighty slow mate.
My BMW 120d does 0-230 faster then that.

oh yes you are right and it does it with lots of fun.
But still it could use little more power though :)

Great man. Is fast despite is be automatic.
I have an Impreza HB 2008 with the same engine, but is manual.

not as fast as mine 2007 2.0R 165 hp with manual I think. Despite less torque in my car
GOLEM1989 4 years ago
yes ofcourse but isn't that obvious:
- The torque is only slightly higher
- But your car has a significant 15 hp more power
- Plus you have a perfect manual transmission, it makes a huge difference because as you know Subaru still insists on the very old technology, inefficient, long gear ratio, 4 speed automatic transmissions.
- So when you add up all these differences, my car probably need to be at least 185 hp with auto-stick to be able to match your car...
