I laughed out loud at that Madonna and Elton John age reference. Ok, about the album, I honestly don't like it, BUT I love his second single What Do You Want From Me. It's the only song from his album I genuinely love. I used to like his first single, until I saw his interpretation of it play out on stage at the AMAs. And that album cover! LOL! My first reaction was shock, which then gave way to almost unstoppable laughter. That alone is enough to stop me from picking up a physical copy.

I also thought Pick U Up (why do people write 'U' when 'You' looks sooo much better lol) was one of the best songs (even though B- is quite good!). I would have given it an A+. : )

I will be honest, Kris Allen fan here and I think overall Kris Allen has more radio friendly hits. But Kris is more my style so I am biased. However, I did hear a few potential good hits on Adam's CD and it only takes 3 or 4 to make it big. So who knows. I just think Kris Allen's songs are all catchy even Red Guitar. But again, I am more into alternative indie sounding rock pop than I am Britney Spears/Queen techo pop. Just a matter of personal preference.

i had high hopes for david archuleta, but haven't herad much from him. david cook, i figured he would meld into nothingness, as his stuff sounded like all rock ballads put together, too mondaine. i loved Clay Aiken, he is a true talent and should have won. his voice is so pure and natural. i don't know what he is doing, because you have to sign up to see his apprearances i guess. he is pretty magical to listen to. but i can't wait to see adam in concert, should be spectacular!

i have bought tons of CDs in my day that had a few good songs and the rest crap. in fact, i often bought them with one or two good songs. i haven't bought CDs for 10 yrs or so, since all songs can be file shared nowadays. i almost feel bad for musicians because of thes, but that's the way of the world. in this case, it is good though, i can get the songs i want and burn my own cd. that way i don't have to hear the crappy songs.

Well, it IS his review. Personally, Kris Allen's CD didn't excite me, but I can see how he got a B average. None of the songs were bad, there just weren't many standouts (for me anyway). Adam getting a C+ overall doesn't surprise me either. You either like it or you don't, and some people won't like it. To each his/her own.

it's obvious that adam has no problem selling records. adam marches to his own drummer and people admire that. nowadays no one sells records like they used to, too much free file sharing. stars have to remarket themselves. so far, he's doing great at that. the fact you don't like the album cover means you are talking about it. that is publicity. his controversial ways bring him fame and with every tom dick and harry getting famous now, it is a smart move to throw controversy and get noticed
