@MrStinger70 Stock vs stock, a Boss 302 would lose.

They're one of my favorite cars though.

They hit high 14's, but thats mainly because of bias ply tires, you'd be hard pressed to push one to a mid 12 second range stock.

They 302's were built for track racing, so they don't really accell in the 1/4 mile, same with the 302's in the Z28s.

PS: I'm part of the younger generation you speak of, and I resent that statement, I assure you I would not piss myself hah.

My son thought alone the same lines as you but after riding in a true muscle car he finally understood what is what. When our government decided to do away with high octane gas it sadly ended the muscle car era :(

I've ridden in and driven true muscle car's plenty of times..I know how the feel and handle [well.. lack of handling? lol] They're quick in a straight line if they can hook up, but don't try to take a corner in them at high speed...lol Tons of bodyroll.

I love the muscle car era, they're beautiful cars. Every one of them is a work of art, unlike most of today's cars.

Cheap gas and cheap cars with big motors.. those were the days.. lol..
