Yeah they probably should. Apes are smart when it comes to figuring out escaping - I've seen orangutans testing an electric fence and getting past it, chimps have managed to unlock their enclosures at times.

I can see how the gorilla's gestures can be misconstrued as playful-after all, he didn't hit the glass, and it is quite easy to get caught up in the majesty and awe of such a creature, but this woman became obsessed with the animal. The woman he attacked went to the zoo and mugged at him several times a week. She thought she had a "special relationship" with him. Er zijn nog weinig gorilla's op de wereld over, dus het is mooi dat ze toch nog een bestaan kunnen hebben in deze (en andere) dierentuin(en). De Nederlandse dierentuinen staan erom bekend dat ze erg goed voor de dieren zorgen. Vaak is er ook het probleem van te weinig ruimte om uit te breiden. Maar de dieren hier in Nederland zijn beter af dan in veel andere landen.
Toch mooi....?? Sry hoor ik ben geen dieren activist maar ik vind het diep triest als ik zo'n mooi dier in de gevangenis zie zitten.... Heeft ie drugs gesmokkeld ofzo... Dat beest heeft ook gevoelens. Vraag maar aan die ene dame, die heeft een speciale band met hem.....
Ik zie dieren ook liever in het wild, maar de dieren hier hebben in ieder geval nog een goed leven en waarschijnlijk zouden ze niet eens overleven in de natuur (als ze vrijgelaten werden).

En wat er nu gebeurd is ook fout, de gorillas blijven voor publiek toegankelijk. Terwijl ze van slag zijn. Ze horen tijdelijk totaal met rust gelaten te worden en niet toegankelijk te zijn voor het publiek!
Maar de dierentuin denkt alleen aan geld en niet aan het belang van de gorillas ....
De dierentuin is in bepaalde opzichten zeker nalatig geweest! Bokito stond erom bekend dat hij een ster in ontsnappingen was... en er hadden dus voorzorgsmaatregelen getroffen moeten zijn.
ja daarom zit dat glas er ook.. Maar ik denk niet dat de dierentuin hier iets aan kon doen. Ze maakte dat beest gewoon helemaal gek.En ja normaal is dat water ertussen wel genoeg...nu dus niet.

Hey, wat willen mensen eigenlijk? Zo'n dier (geen enkel dier) hoort in een dierentuin. Als ik die aap was ik zou het wel weten, ik kieperde zelf de mensen in de kooi en ging er eens uitgebreid op staan gapen.
't is natuurlijk stom wat zij hier doet maar dit is slechts onwetendheid van een (gemiddelde) dierentuinbezoekster zonder kwade bedoelingen. Ook niet-experts mogen in een dierentuin komen, dus ik neem het haar helemaal niet kwalijk. Er zou een werknemer bij die dieren aanwezig moeten zijn om zulk gedrag van bezoekers te voorkomen; het zijn tot slot van rekening hun dieren die hier de dupe van worden. Dus fout ligt bij Blijdorp, niet bij deze op-het-eerste-gezicht-tamelijk-irritante vrouw.
Als jullie op zo'n manier schelden nodig vinden dan sporen jullie zelf ook niet helemaal hoor. Zielige vertonen vind ik dat. Van zwaar gefrustreerde mensen. Als je geen discussie kan voeren zonder te beledingen hoe dom ben je dan??

Volgens mij liet Bokito zijn tanden zien als teken van een waarschuwing en dan lacht die vrouw met een big smile terug.

How did Bokito manage to escape and attack this woman without her being able to escape? Did he venture out of sight then suddenly appear outside the enclosure beside her? I can see how the gorilla's gestures can be misconstrued as playful-after all, he didn't hit the glass, and it is quite easy to get caught up in the majesty and awe of such a creature, but this woman became obsessed with the animal. At the expense of sounding clumsy, i would go as far as to say, she even wanted to fuck Bokito. I mean she was trying to french kiss him and she probably showed him her snatch. Sad.

Deze vrouw heeft deze gorilla uitgedaagd, Wat zij daar doet is geen leuk spelletje. Zij is iemand die al eerder een band met hem had opgebouwd. Hij laat daar zijn tanden zien omdat hij vind dat zij bij hem hoort, Zij doet het terug bij hem, wat overkomt als "dikke lul" bij die gorilla. I agree with you that we need to care for animals, and Zoo's are places where animals are cared for, well fed and have no fears of being attacked or harmed by other animals. Zoos are good for the animals, dont worry, she will have a huge area to run around, this is just where she can look at the people, the gorrilaa can smoke and take the wanks if she wants 8)

Gorilla's are vegetarian who eat sometimes meat (explain their sharp canines), but only when it's necessary when their environment changes. Or the will attack en kill enemies, like her. Its so obvious that the gorilla is acting dominant towards that woman. But they're not as peaceful as most of the people think.

Thats right but it wasnt for several weeks, it was more like months she was tracking him for a while, just driving him crazy and seeing him every day. Theres going to be a trial between the woman and the zoo. Its all over the news here in Holland.

For 11 years she has been STALKING the gorilla!
The lady is sick sorry.
The zoo made some mistakes as well, for sure.

After they get close - anyone notice that he hits the glass so hard that his arms are shaking for a second or two after? You can hear the whole enclosure echoing and a big deep thud. And they just keep on laughing. Poor guy.

Er zijn nog weinig gorilla's op de wereld over, dus het is mooi dat ze toch nog een bestaan kunnen hebben in deze (en andere) dierentuin(en). De Nederlandse dierentuinen staan erom bekend dat ze erg goed voor de dieren zorgen. Vaak is er ook het probleem van te weinig ruimte om uit te breiden. Maar de dieren hier in Nederland zijn beter af dan in veel andere landen.

Als men de leefgebieden met malafide houtkap (waar Nederland ook schuldig aan is ) niet bedreigde dan was het geen probleem
Daarom zijn helaas dierentuinen tegenwoordig nodig om te voorkomen dat dieren gewoon uitsterven.
De mishandeling van dieren omdat men het goedkoopste vlees wilt is Dat is pas erg.

Maar dit mens is zeker een hele hoop te verwijten. Zeker wetende dat ze al meermaals was gewaarschuwd door de oppassers, toegegeven door haar man overigens dus dit is geen verzinsel van de dierentuin...
En wat er nu gebeurd is ook fout, de gorillas blijven voor publiek toegankelijk. Terwijl ze van slag zijn. Ze horen tijdelijk totaal met rust gelaten te worden en niet toegankelijk te zijn voor het publiek!
Maar de dierentuin denkt alleen aan geld en niet aan het belang van de gorillas ....

De dierentuin is in bepaalde opzichten zeker nalatig geweest! Bokito stond erom bekend dat hij een ster in ontsnappingen was... en er hadden dus voorzorgsmaatregelen getroffen moeten zijn.

't is natuurlijk stom wat zij hier doet maar dit is slechts onwetendheid van een (gemiddelde) dierentuinbezoekster zonder kwade bedoelingen. Ook niet-experts mogen in een dierentuin komen, dus ik neem het haar helemaal niet kwalijk. Er zou een werknemer bij die dieren aanwezig moeten zijn om zulk gedrag van bezoekers te voorkomen; het zijn tot slot van rekening hun dieren die hier de dupe van worden. Dus fout ligt bij Blijdorp, niet bij deze op-het-eerste-gezicht-tamelijk-irritante vrouw.
