Every type of coil will behave the same way. How come you don't know this? Once the coil is energized same pole as the magnet repel each other, that's all there is to it.

Your onto something Pisa! Get three coils together onto plastic disk and have them evenly spread on the ends of the rim and mount them on to it. Balance this disk with the use of smart circuity with gyros to somehow hover on its own. Yes my friend, a true starship is in the making :D
