  • WOW! How Powerful!!! ADELANTE MUJER

  • No puede ser !!!!!! Este muy mal

  • Was this a school project, because for some strange reason I still don't care.

  • oh no

  • Watch the movie "BORDER TOWN" Jennifer Lopez and Antonia Banderez

Not only are there drug related killings, but hundreds of young factory women from all over Mexico since 1993 are being beaten, raped, strangled, then buried or thrown into mass graves. many local residents believe that the true count stands at an estimated 5,000 victims. Most of the cases remained unsolved as of 2003, and are still unsolved today (Mexican Police & Free Trade Agreement cover up is why you don't hear about it.)

  • ive heard pieces adout the women in juarez, but nothing as good as this. You go girl.

  • It is so sad!

  • i think you look oriental

  • most of the girls missing in juarez are brought over to the US by americans, this is sad indeed.

  • To those who predate on the women there is no difference.

We should invade Juarez and the surrounding areas and clean house.

  • FYI! Americans also asked money from europeans! they are deeply in debt with them!

  • Good thing i'm european, not American ain't it. I wouldn't want you murderous, cut throat bastards sneaking into my country!

  • @P1mpMyBr1de news for you, Europeans illegally came to America first and they were murderous, cut throat "bastards" to Indigenous people and even today, we have two holidays that celebrate that massacre in America: Thanksgiving/taking and Columbus Day. You're not special because you're European.

  • @if3amisgone

    savage

  • Maybe juarez should pass a law that would enable all citizens in jaurez to carry hand guns. Like in Texas. A conceal carry permit on a "will issue" basis.

  • who will speaak for us all?

  • te dejaste cai chido me gustaron tus palabras muy ciertas.

  • wat she is saying is from an article i read lol.

  • 4000 is the latest count both Mexico and US are involved in this. What better way to stop the Mexican race by killing women of child bearing age.

  • Gracias por eso...por todos!

  • Thank you. You are amazing. We have an extremely similar problem in Canada. You are very brave and I must thank you for this. You give me strength.

    Megweetch

  • in 1993 there wasn't drug cartels... all come from fuckin factories... psycho-macho stupid mexicans killing and now american soldiers, and anyone who have 35 cent near Rio Bravo bridge... propably 4000 missing 1000 dead :/ ! DICKS not humans !!!

  • Love what you do, keep doing it remember that Calderon put an end to the comission that was supposed to investigate these awful crimes, they think they can just sweep it under the rug and people will forget, we need to keep passing the word around.

las mujeres de Juarez NO SE OLVIDAN!

  • I'll bet one of your brothers could find the people who are doing this in a few weeks if he tried... Who would he talk to? Not the police... Start with the cab drivers near the factories...

  • Maquiladoras all over Mexico what interesting that drug violence also occurs in the border?

  • What are you doing to help these women and their families aside from ranting and raving in English and Spanish?

  • What these women need more than anything is awareness. It is an abomination that this troubling situation has not been brought to light on a larger scale.

Awareness leads to education, empowerment and social change.

  • This is more help than they get now. Awareness is a good thing jack a**

  • She's doing it now. Nobody puts this on TV. So she puts it on youtube.

  • this is happening to women in Canada also.

  • drug cartels are very powerful..... and evil

  • God bless the victims and their families!

  • Good job on the video. The US needs to wake up and see what's going on in Juarez.

  • In 2008 one of the victims was a pregnant women. And a little girl

  • I absolutely love the work of this wonderful poet. Thank you, Amalia...your work is important and powerful.

  • ¡perdone por favor mi violación!

¡DEBO HABLAR A LA VIRGEN del juarez!

¡por favor, no rechace la súplica!

  • And what about the one thousand men that have been killed just in 2008??????? Tijuana!!! Sinaloa! MEN are killed every day...

  • Juarez is a city in Tijuana.

  • I SO CRIED

  • Are they raped and tortured? Are their crimes past the simple act of murder? No they are not

  • malditos chicanos no saben nada,,,

    no lo pueden entender...

  • very emotional. wow, good work

  • Check out the trailer for THE FRAGILITY OF SECONDS---

  • i USED to go 2 juarez but not any more cuz of the drug cartel its real dangerous n yes its real bad over there the men are pervs and the people drive like crazy the city buses go way way way 2 fast and theres so many poor people there 2 and a lot of the girls are little tramps NOT ALL OF THEM ok

  • Yea I've known about these murders since early 1999,I have family in Ciudad Juarez and I'm glad they haven't fallen victim to that corrupt system in Mexico..Just young, beautiful young women full of dreams and ambitions..and they're killed for what?? We GOTTA STOP THIS!! As a Americans,We really have to stand up for these women in Mexico,Innocent and Naive to the twisted world of machismo and corrupt politics..WE HAVE TO BE A VOICE FOR THE UNHEARD!!!

  • Which products are coming out of Juarez Mexico? A Boycot on those products may speak loud enough to get some attention.

  • I can tell u that Sony Bravia tvs are made there. HP laptops, Casio music instruments. to name a few. want more? Contact me.

  • i had no idea! Im a definately gonna write a song about this! the more exposure maybe there can be some closure. thanks for making me aware.

  • So, what do we do now?

When my wife was young she looked like you. In fact she still does (at least to me) at 48.

I have been hearing about this for years.

    What should I do?

  • help save the women of juarez speak for the innocent killed who can't speak for themselves god bless america and mexico

  • viva mehico(sarcastic).viva mehico. there government is sooooo corrupt, there constitution a joke. the USA FBI offered ALL AND ANY resources to solve and help solve they crimes way back in 1994 when the number killed was "only" in the 20's, but the mexican government declined citing autonomy and soviergnty (VIVA MEXICO!)i swear

whenever i hear that i want to throw up. btw

not that it matters, i am mexican. who's responcible or responcible for not stopping it

goes straight to MEXICO CITY D.F.

  • THANK YOU for this perfect video. It perfectly captures the deeper meanings of the systematic killings...the slaughtering of self-sustaining, hard-working women...the hyper-sexualization of the dark-skinned poor women.

    Perfecto.

  • and of course the magical blinding nature of that which is beyond a manufactured border...

  • Oh girl, you really touched my heart. I cried over my sisters. It's not from what country is the crime being commited, It's to stop the violence against any human. Stop War, Guns, brutality and have protection for women to send undercover women police in the area to investigate.

  • I guess this is all The United States fault.

  • I think beyond blaming someone, we should be asking ourselves, "How can we stop this?" I'm going to El Paso next month to participate in their annual V-Day Celebration which brings awareness to the issue. Anyone want to join me and try to do something about this? Or is finger pointing more important than human lives to armchair critics?

    XOXOXO

    Amalia

  • NI UNA MAS!!!!!

  • A warning to mindslayer1975:

U.S. laws on cyberstalking vary from state to state, but if you have been threatened in e-mail, you may wish to ask an attorney about the Federal statute 18 U.S.C. 875(c). Under that statute, "transmission in interstate or foreign commerce of a communication containing any threat to kidnap any person or any threat to injure the person of another," is a federal felony, carrying a maximum sentence of 5 years in prison and a fine of $250,000.

    Amalia

  • Amalia, good for you. This is a fantastic video. Thank you for saying something and putting your poetry out there.

  • Sad all this woman o god, beautiful words this is a word problem people 5000 kill and rape to this date not (400), 1000 missing.

  • I think what this girl say it is true what is happening men or strangers who are heartless with no concious are killing poor innocent girls it seems to me they government like ours doesn't care sometimes but for those of us with good intentions I wish bono from u2 would go to protest for them women like he does for other countires it really really breaks my heart are tortured and burned it is sad even now that there are countries who treat women like nothing

  • This is Amalia. The poem above is published in the book "The Line Between Us: Teaching about the Border and Mexican Immigration" by Rethinking Schools. It is taught on campuses such as UCLA. I am not going to delete any of the hateful comment made here, because it is my hope tha future educators who stumble across the dialogue can begin to understand the kind of unsolicited hate their students of color encounter on a daily basis. Tolerance and education is our only hope. See Schweitzer below.

  • "Whenever there is the lost consciousness that every man is an object of concern, simply because he is a man, morals are shaken and the advance to fully developed inhumanity is only a question of time."

    -Albert Schweitzer

  • this girl is speaking the truth god bless her for opening the eyes of those who are ignorant, thank you for speaking out for those who can not
