Wow man you can really draw!! I just started drawing but i'm the opposite i can't copy drawings i'm better at making my own stuff. I have some posted on here but they are crap, they were my very first drawings, i've gotten quite a lot better since then. I know, I am working on that.

I can draw just about anything the I can see in front of me almost exactly like the original. But when it comes to drawing something from my mind they look horrid.

Right now I'm working on redrawing stuff over and over to get kind of a mental memory sort of thing. If that makes any sens.

Like if I draw a character enough times I can draw it from memory and begin to expand on that concept to form my own designs.

Hope this made some sens. lol

I seriously have that same problem -.- It sucks because if I want to draw I have to have pics with me. The most I can do is change poses and stuff as long I have the original picture. How do you learn to draw from memory?

u must have imagination to draw ur own character...

There are a couple things you can do to build up an artistic memory, so to speak:

1. Practice.

2. Try drawing differently. What I mean by this is try and draw just a quick sketch, keep it under 2 minutes for the entire piece and keep details to a minimum. Then try a detailed sketch.

3.this isn't really a memory thing but it is a MUST for determining if proportions are correct. after you are ready to outline a sketch, STOP, and hold it up to a mirror.

When you look at your drawing in a mirror there is a 95% chance some proportion may be off or look weird.

4. PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE!!! and did I mention practice? That's right. Ever hear the saying "Practice makes perfect"? It is 150% true. The more you practice the easier you will find it to draw stuff from memory.

Try the SPS method. Sketch. Practice. Study.

Sketch.

If you are drawing animals or something real take the time to observe it and try to make rough sketches.

They were bloody amazing, how long does it take you to draw each pic?

Normally anywhere from an hour to a couple of days. It depends a lot on the detail in the drawing. The drawing at 4:05 for example took me about 2 hours for the sketch, roughly 7 hours for the outlining and about 5 hours for the shading and darkening of the lines.

it all just takes a lot of time and patience, but in the end its all worth it! ^_^

Woah.. I take like four hours for all of mine but mine arne't as complex as yours.. I was talking to a real manga artist and he says a full frame takes him four hours each.. :O

I have OCD, so i know what its like.. When i say i take four hours, i mean like flipping from one drawing to the next.. I have like several on at the go that what i emant by All of mine... Oh and no it doesn't take me four hours to do like 5, i mean that i spend four hours on them everyday for like a weekend or a week...

Really its all dependant on my homework and coursework.. Life just gets in the way of my hobbies....

Thanks for all the great comments everybody!! I was planning on making another vid over X-mass break but my little bro left my pictures where our dogs could get them and well, i'm sure you have seen what a paper shredder does right? I have five "shredders" (dogs) and they got my folder i keept most of my drawings in. hopefully i will be able to put together another vid by January. I still have some older drawings, they arent as nice as these but they are kind of cool.

i have been drawing all my life, it just takes lots of practice.

when i started trying to draw more complex pictures what i did is find a picture that i really liked, then looked at it and tried to draw it. i did that with a couple of these. and after doing that you will find it can be easier to draw some of the more complicated stuff.
