  • I am aware of the proper methods regarding midfoot running form. My concern, however, is what percentage of your running should be midfoot v. regular (heel strike), if you've been running for nearly four decades? Now, ten percent of my weekly mileage is barefoot (Vibram 5 Fingers), running and the rest (about 40 miles) is on grass and on the roads. I mostly run in racing flats which forces more of a midfoot strike, but not completely. I would like to run 100 percent midfoot ASAP, of course!

  • I hope you gave her more guidance off-line than what you stated in the video - more specifics on how to change the 3 areas you mentioned.

  • Thank you for your comment. Yes, I provide greater detail in email, still photos, and reference to full length articles than was evident in the verbal comments of the video. The media of video demands concise comments; otherwise the length of the video audio file becomes to long which makes it difficult to send via email or internet uploads. Video is a powerful media, but it does result in sound bites rather than in-depth communication.
