Friday The 13th Movie Review

I actually thought the remake was scary. Rob Zombie's remakes are a joke. lol. I haven't seen the Nightmare remake. I've seen prom night, Texas chainsaw, Hills have Eyes, Black Xmas, Sorority Row, and other remakes and thought they were pretty good. I love slashers, so..go figure. I thought the remake to Sorority Row was BETTER than the original. I don't like the original.

Now they're remaking Freddie! And yes they need some new ideas. What I like about Asian horror is a lot of the movies are so realistic too. I stick with them. This movie at least was similar to the original's. I do agree with being rushed. I've seen a lot of the Jason movies and they're pretty much the same thing just running around in the woods lol. But yea if you've seen two or so of the Jason movie's you'd be able to predict it.

1. Why do you talk so loud?

2. The new movie was much better than the originals because of the fake killing and bad acting. And it's a remake, not a sequel it doesn't have to follow the story line that's why they explained the story again in the beginning.

I agree, if you rate it on the same merits of any other film of course the rating will come out horrible. I understand some movies just need to be critiqued differently, "Friday the 13th" is one of those films. You can't hold Academy Award standards with every movie you see, otherwise every movie would just completely suck. I mean come on it's a Jason movie, not "There Will Be Blood". Plus I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who thought the new "Halloween" movie sucked!!~Phurdrick

wow i thought the halloween remake was awesome really showed us more to micheal than just a unstoppable juggernaut pyschopath, it showed us a realistic side of him and thats what i liked about that movie the most. i just hope this movie can live up to its expectations. and what other horror movies are they possible going to make or think of ALOT of ideas have been used for horror movies. like that one sabre tooth monster movie thingy that was horrible and was an attempt to go for something new.

First buy tickets for a movie your age (Paul Blart or whatever)

then sneak into the R rated.

@compsciguy A remake is pretty much an exact replica of the story, characters, plot, ect. A reboot is something that goes in it's own direction like Batman Begins.

just got back from seeing it. I thought it was really good for a Friday the 13th movie. The old ones had the same elements.

And I thought Aaron Yoo made the movie for me, character-wise, because he was funny and brought life into the movie.
