At least this game is sticking more to the Transformers history. Also, the first Transformers movie was fine, but the second one was a disgrace! There was no substance to it.

I don't think that Asthenikos ment that they're vehicle forms doesn't look like G1, it's clear that these guys haven't been in earth so far (in this game) but they really doesn't look like G1 (I'm pretty sure that he ment that the robots aren't looking like G1 ones.).

Slightly. He's got a very similar axe, proportions and his chest design seems to be emulating a little of the Animated Optimus. Otherwise, he's meant to be a little bit more 'Classic Optimus'.

Not likely. That game was pure third-person shooter. This looks like it'll have a lot of sections involving melee combat.

I know that Transformers has been with us for 25 years, but I don't think that it's really necessary to make a video game using the old Transformers. We are more into Bay's work. Also, is Peter Cullen going to be in this one? I mean, he IS the voice of Optimus Prime. I just hope that it's as good as Transformers The Game 1 & 2 (Mostly 2).

Speak for yourself. Not all of us are "more into Bay's work" as you say. They already have games based off of Bay's work and they are the basic movie to game = crap variety. This looks similiar to the g1 Transformers design's but still has an original look of it's own.

I actually thought the game based on the second film was pretty decent (multiplayer was definitely a fun aspect). The game based on the first was indeed crap though (which is actually a reverse to how I view the films themselves: first film was good, second was crap).

I have no doubt this will be better than both, given what has been seen so far.

The reasons why it wasn't so popular though was because of the live action movies being made around that time, because they only showed it early weekend mornings, and because Hasbro and Cartoon Network hardly promoted it at all.
