  • bonjovi. com

    so hard to figure out....

  • w00t

  • This song rings so true to what is happening today

  • I know! Jus' thinkin the same thing. I wonder why they wrote this in the 80s...if they knew it described exactly what would happen 20 years later...

  • '90s, sir.

  • Ugh, there was already a decently significant oil crisis in the late 70s that especially affected the Southern States, but did not last too long.

  • this is from the Keep The Faith 1992 album. Difficult economic times and hardships exist all the time.

  • From 1992 like samboragal said but bed of roses was released as a single in 1993 my favorite song, oh and also Jon says dirty whore during this song lol

  • diry whore yeah lol tht is funny

  • This is definitely THE ultimate Bon Jovi song if there was such a thing :) I just love everything about it. The mood it creates, this really brilliant solo. In short - everything. unbelievably awesome!

  • i'll second that!!

  • What a cool song!! Richie soars on this one, yet it looks that it's gone largely unnoticed- under the radar. Too bad, it's an amazing solo.

  • I've been a fan since 1986. This song says it all.. One step below "These Days"

  • the lyrics match exactly with what the hell is going down here, after the financial crisis ..

  • this the best song ever !!!! it rocks !!!!

it desrv more views ... rate it share it do watever needed to get it milions of views !!

  • 4:43 Fuckin Sick

  • I've been an avid Bon Jovi fan for years and in my opinion this is the best and yet underated song by far.

Such an amazing guitar solo by Mr Sambora himself too.

  • Your 100% right man

  • I always thought this was one of the best songs they ever did - up there with Blaze of Glory and Wanted Dead or Alive.

Very appropriate for the times we live in.

  • I was listening to this at night, while I was in bed. WARNING: do NOT listen to this song while horizontal. It seriously felt like I was dying. Don't ask me how I know what dying feels like.

  • Oh. I heard another version with something before the intro. Plus, people (i.e. waterstorm) were saying that they like the 'long version' better, and that this version was 'edited', implying that this wasn't the original.

  • one of the best power ballads of all time

  • unbelievably good song

  • one of the best songs ever

  • I sort of like this version more than the original

  • this is the original

  • this is such an intelligent song tho, i never liked it as a child, but as ive grown up ive grown to appreciate it and understand it, awsome song :)

  • doesn't this song make you think of some sort of economical depression?

  • I wonder why.....

  • why isnt this song on any guitar hero or rock band game :( it would be awsome to shred along to this solo :)

  • wish they didn't have to edit this song, I love the long version better. There is just so much meaning and depth to his songs, which is a reason, why I love Bon Jovi!

  • love it! GREAT song!

  • this song nice it would go in my top 10 bon jovi songs,

  • Dry County, and These Days are by far their best songs.

  • this song is friggin MASTERPIECE! :) Wish it didn't have to be shortened here...

  • greatest guitar solo ever ! no doubt....

what about the lord ? yes he did leave us for a long time ago .!!

god bless you all , if he is still around...

  • This is a poor short version of this great song, this is one of the most AMAZING guitar solos in rock history, ERES GRANDE BON JOVI!!!

  • my personal favourite of bon jovis songs

doesnt mean there is one bad song of them :o)

  • awesome stuff

    gotta love that solo :)

i missed him last time he came to England :(

  • i saw him in manchester arena, he was emense :D

  • Probably the best song of Bon Jovi, at least for me. Deeper, reflexive, well executed master piece. I don`t understand why cut the guitar solo, but doesn´t matter.

  • The album version of this track is certainly better, the solo lasts for so much longer and delivers a greater journey resulting in better impact, spine tingling at times.

One of their best and certainly deserves more air time.

  • they are certainly in a dry place!

    great song!!!

  • one the greatest bon jovi's song..but what a fucking video!!!

  • Sambora is the KING!

  • great song but I can't say the same for the video...

  • perfect. wat a bloody song!

  • bij dit nummer denk ik aan mijn zus en mijn zus is de beste die ik ken nynke ik hou van je

  • lieve Laura, ik weet het......... kus mam

  • damn, what a song....

  • THIS SONG IS SO...... PERFECT!

They were on Salvia when they wrote it... for sure:)))

  • Damn! Jon, Richie, Dave, and Tico must have been in some psychic mood when they wrote this.

If any one of them sees this comment:

For the love of God, play this live next time you come to Nashville.

  • this is my favourite bon jovi song by a mile. Best song in their long career. lyrics are deep n meaningful to whts happenin in the world.

  • Those were the days. That album really changed a lot for me; must have listened to it a million times . Though it´s already so long ago...it´s still so close. I´ve absolutely great memories of it. In my opinion, " KTF ", re-invented the band and made them survive until now.

  • this song rather makes me think of what's starting to happen because of the economy. we do have enough rain here, but the oil, money and jobs will decline

  • funny i was just thinking the same thing when i heard this song bon jovi must of seen the future back then

  • best bj song with keep the faith and livin on.

  • love the guitar bit at 5 minutes brilliant

  • I usually don´t like Bon Jovi, but this song is amazing...

  • This song is unbelievable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this is like my favorite song!!

  • this is such a poetic song like it just makes u feel something. Very deep its amazing

  • the song isnt amazing but omg those lyrics are truely poetic.. damn there so deep

  • this song is so strong, if u hear the lyrics... thats the best thing on all bon jovi's songs: the lyrics. i swear they are the best and always so meaningful. and this is song is a proof for one more time. LOVE IT!!!! Bon Jovi are the best!!!!!!!!!!

  • Bon Jovi is great. I love this song :)

this song is just awesome:) one of ma favs, the endin rules lol

  • I love this song!!! one of my favorites by Bon Jovi

  • yeah ritchie sambora

  • i never really liked this song but i also heard it for the first time this year in manchester and it truly was amazing one of my favourites of the night

  • richie is the best guitarist ever

  • richie's a beast on guitar

  • This is the most understated bon jovi song. I love it .Ive seen them live 5 times and only heard this live for the first time in july when they played glasgow .Blew me away

  • I'm with you!

  • brilliant gig apart from the rain, thought this was the best song they played, lol

  • to me this is the best song jovi have a wrote

  • where's the original?

  • this song's just mad. never never gets old, never lost its edge. just grabs me everytime i hear it. saw jovi twice live. great performers. excellent band.

  • That solo is insane.

Richie's my idol when it comes to guitar for sure.

  • It's even better when you listen to the album version. *wink*

  • Are you making some wise-crack at Richie's guitar playing? I hope not, it's just as impressive, if not more, live.

  • Um, no, I just prefer the album version of this song. The video cuts it too short. I happen to love Richie's guitar playing, thank you.

  • Well I didn't know, I was just making sure :)

  • Yeah, I guess I should have worded my comment better... XD

  • the whole band desirves credit, because if they didnt play as a team and help each other out they would not be where they are today.

  • why cut the solo dick

  • love it....so much feel to it.... :D

  • bon jovi are awesome..... even 20 years later. these days album has gotta be the best album... so much feeling and soul in the songs.. dont get me wrong... love all the other albums but if im in my car it's these days album im always listening to... :D

  • great

  • in one word beautiful

    prachtig nummer

  • richie sambora is the reason of why i picked up a guitar. he is the reason of why i started writing music. no guitarist can surpass richies passion and soul for music and guitar and he is 1 of the greatest guitarists of all time.

  • Why Cut His Solo Short? :(

  • this is the t.v version thts y its short :) miss the solo though lol

  • I dnt knw if anyone has read 'Star Man' by Michael Francis, Bon Jovi's security guard from Slippery till the end of New Jersey, bt it seemed like Jon was jealous of Richie's talent. Richie's the heart and soul of Bon Jovi, period.

  • il b the first 2 admit tht richie is amazin... but people like you just ruin it.. there would b no bon jovi if it wasnt for jon bon jovi so wen u start sayin hes jealous of richies talent its bullshit 2 b honest.. watch jon bon jovi on 60 minutes and u will c wat he has done 4 the band helped richie through his alcoholic state back 2 gd health and u will hear them call him the mentor and a brother.. hes a legend!

  • Richie sambora.. wat can i say.. legend! most underrated guitarist of all time... FACT, and in my own personal opinion 1 of the greatest guitar players of all time... the whole band as a whole are amazin.. no1 will appreciate how amazin they actually were till there gone..

  • All the times I listen to that song it makes me sad again... it's just wonderful, but such a hopeless story told... I love it, it's amazing good!!

    Bon Jovi 4-ever !!!!

  • All i can say is i love bon jovi and love their music BUT THIS SONGS MAKES ME CRY NON-STOP! i no this is sad but i watch wwe! HBK is my fav wreslter ever! and the recap vid of his make with cena at wm23 features this song! so therefore this song reminds me of all the pain HBK went through adn makes me cry! im a HUGE fan of HBK weneva i see him in pain or upset i burst into tears! ricthie is an awesome guitarist so dnt dis him! Bon Jovi Are The Sex

  • Slash is my favourite guitarist of all time and he is the reason i picked pu the 6 string.

But i can even admit, richie is so under rated, its not right?

  • Please don't compare Slash with Richie.

At a point, it's going to involve insults towards one of these two great guitarists and thats something I DONT WANT.

  • I've seen both (Slash & Ritchie) live and they both rock :) They are number one in their genre:) If u want to learn rock & roll guitar just listen to both of them and then you've got it :) They simply rock!

  • I've seen both (Slash/Ritchie) live, and they have both different styles. They both rock n rule :) I've u want to be a good guitarist watch Slash n Ritchie play and u learn a lot :) Rock n Roll 4 ever !

  • yea i understand wat u mean about richie being underated, he is amazing, for watever reason he doesnt have the wide known fame as slash, its a close toss up between the both of em, i like slash's solos, he does a lot of improv, which is amazing, but i like em both lol

  • I aint comparing Slash to Richie, but where Slash gets mentioned in the top 10/top 5/top 3best guitarists and has his own guitar hero game out which enthasised his status even more, Richie is the complete opposite.

Yeah they have different styles but Richie has a larger scale of knowledge & that was the point I was making. It wasn't a knock on Slash. Both are amazing guitarists, but Richie is the most underrated guitarist. I mentioned Slash just cos he was a relevent example of being rated.

  • you cant compare slash to richie! there both great guitarists, and both my fav, but its comparing apples to oranges! there not even the same genre of music, one isnt better or worse than the other, there just different guitarists. period.
