Hey guys I live in calgary AB Canada and was wondering if anyone knew of a good site to order off of or any stores in calgary to get silver bars. I have been checking out some of the big name sites and they charge about 2-3 dollars per ounce more then the actual silver price and have about 10 dollars for shipping for anything under 350$ so if i buy a couple of ounces of silver that is currently at 35 an ounce it will cost me about 40 an ounce to buy any ideas or suggestions?

Right now and when silver was pushing the $25-$30 bucks per oz.. BU (Uncirculated) silver dollars from 1878-1935 were just laying there at the pre run up silver prices of $25-$35 bucks each on the common dates. Well thats when you spot bargins...got all I could before prices started moving up on them. Now it has. Very hard to get BUs now but you can still get better dates in used grades. Good buys too! @trollerguy I grew up on the welfare system, From a Birth defect I get a monthly check that is not enough to purchase the amount of food for me to live for a month as a Child I was given silver to hold on to
it was like $5.00 an Oz. Now today it is $17.80 Per Oz. I do not have any coin, bar or jewelery
The Pawn shops are buying at $15.00 Oz but not selling anything that has Silver or Copper in it.
Many years ago I wanted to purchase a Pawn shop My family went NUTS saying NO !

@RCvolunteer1978 I'm sorry to hear about your problem since having the birth defect. I was fortunate as a child of 10-17 and working into my teen years and watching the silver coins disappear from circulation. The Government was dumping in the funny money we use today as the silver coins went to hide. Something clicked in my mind, it was not right to see good money leave circulation. As it got almost impossible to find anymore silver coins I went to small town banks hitting Silver jackpots.

@darthkarr buy from a good source. stick to englehard, johnson matthey, credit suisse, silver town. i would avoid ebay like the plague. there are a lot of fakes around. check out ampex, gainesville coin, or coast to coast coin. try and buy 10 oz. bars if possible for less commission.

@ariana29x It's not about 2012, but even if so it is very promising that we will have a nother pole shift and solar flares that will cause revolution. Evey solar high there has been revolutions and the same thing will happen this solar high, infact it's so close that these people with the they're "cospiracy theories" are repeating the past which lead to many things that made us who we all are today. It's all starting to build up, cospiracy or fact the truth stands in front of us all.

The Third Reich produced millions of 90% silver bullion coins. Each Nazi 5 Reichsmark coin weighed 13.88 g and contained exactly 12.5 g of fine silver. Almost half an ounze of silver in each coin. To insure their savings against inflation.
If the government where to liquidate its debt (which they might do within 3-15 years) then everyone's savings and federal reserve notes will get wiped out completely. If you invest in gold or silver, then your savings will be safe.

Yeah it does look good. I have about half of that in my silver stash, but what I lack in silver (compared to this guy) I make up for in the 6 and one tenth ounces of gold I have :)
