I was a druggie for 26 years. I grew my own pot but never sold it. However, I did give it to friends as gifts. Today I have been clean since May 22.1995. The first thing I found out after I got clean was that I didn't have to keep looking over my shoulder for cops. Cops were no longer a threat to me. I came to view them as friendly, honest civil servants who protected my family and our rights as citizens. I know there are rotten apples in every barrel, but as a whole, cops are descent people.
I'm sure if we "fight it to win" the drug Cartels will give up, yeah, that's the ticket. They'll never give up because of the lives of millions of people being destroyed because they smoked a joint... As they release sex offenders who are expected to re-offend. Nobody has ever broke in my place willing to kill me for my beer. Alcohol is very dangerous. Pot isn't. Cigs and booze are legal...Gov. doesn't care about us, it's all about control and money with them. Are you with them, Bill?
You appear to have the pulse as well as common sense on a wide variety of Law Enforcement and Political issues. I would really like to hear your opinion with regard to the “Department of Homeland Security”, also; Your input on the T.S.A.’s apparent attempts at taking over certain aspects of State, County, and Local Law activities. Thanks for the videos. .
You have my condolences my friend. You are one of the good guys. Wish there were more like you. I'm against legalizing drugs but I am for decriminalizing the possession of pot for medical purposes. Not for smoking or consuming, but from extracting the THC from the top of the leaves and making it into a salve. Yes, it is a gateway drug no doubt. But when used for healing purposes rather than a potential high, it could put the pharmaceutical companies out of business. But it'll never be.
Ok so someone killed that woman not drugs, And to bring up pot is fucking crazy. The tax stamp act of 1937 is something that me and my tea party friends find unconstitutional. The illegality of drugs make them dangerous.
In Netherlands Liberals thought they weren't liberal enough, so they just went and legalized drugs.Today after drug trade and organized crime has ruined their cities, they are desperately trying to restrict again drug use.
Liberals meet the psychiatric definition of schizophrenia, trying the same thing over and over again, expecting different results every time, cause simply they cant learn from other nations tragedies. For god sake look at near by Mexico.
Our country doesn't learn from the mistakes made in the past. Prohibition made gangsters wealthy & violent in the 1920-33s. Powerful gangs corrupted law enforcement agencies, leading to racketeering. Stronger liquor surged in popularity because its potency made it more profitable to smuggle.
To prevent bootleggers from using industrial ethyl alcohol to produce illegal beverages, the government ordered the poisoning of industrial alcohols. In response, bootleggers hired chemists who successfully renatured the alcohol to make it drinkable.
As a response, the Treasury Department required manufacturers to add more deadly poisons, including the particularly deadly methyl alcohol. New York City medical examiners prominently opposed these policies b/c of the danger to human life. As many as 10,000 people died from drinking denatured alcohol before Prohibition ended. Does this sound like the "War on Drugs"?
Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it. George Santayana
God bless you Bill, I always look forward to your next video but this one really hit home for me. Drugs have seriously affected my family and the families of so many others. Thank you for standing up on this issue. I have a dear friend in Mexico who watched helplessly as her adult son was snatched out of her car more than 15 years ago and has never been heard from since.
Tell the govt to stop playing on both sides of the fence then & bringing the drugs in multiple overwhelming evidence repeatedly showing govt in involvement in drug running.
The drug war is a farce,40 years & Trillions(with a T ) wasted, i can see the hard drugs but marijuana(no i do not smoke) is way less problematic than alcohol a perfectly legal & manageable hobby to most Amer. with un-addictive behaviors. Prohibition of any kind does not work. Anything can be addictive, its the personality.
very sad and right on points bill.. liberalism is a disease a dysfunction they need to be tossed away and forgotten about in my opinion.. there no good.. you keep these videos coming in bill.. i thank you and America thanks you..
This guy is the perfect example of a nazi. A man who thinks he knows whats best for everyone else. Love your sob story bill, but all that rambling did nothing to support the claim that legalizing drugs is evil.
@randellmd Having never taken drugs in my life that is a pretty absurd assumption to make. However, I know you have the world figured out and you know everything, so I will let you continue being your asinine self. It's a good thing no one lets you make important decisions, so I am already devoting more time to you than you deserve.
@zpgJiggleBilly pretty absurd assumption of you on what kind of decisions i'm allowed to make. It's good thing you never took drugs, hate to see what you'd really be like if you did.
@randellmd By the way you respond to my messages, it is clear that you are unable to make well informed decisions. That is not an assumption, it is very accurate. If I took drugs I would probably act like everyone else that takes drugs, some find that appealing, I don't; but that is their choice, and it shouldn't be illegal. Now if you come back with some remark like "Oh, I am the vice president of such and such". Well that only serves to prove that you were chosen to be a proxy of someone else.
Bill, normally I love what you have to say, but I think there is a powerful difference in regulating people's lives and behaviors when it comes to comparatively harmless (at least, by all statistics and research, no more harmful than alcohol) substances and potently destructive substances such as crack and meth. The former gives money to the bad guys and makes criminals out of kids and otherwise harmless, law abiding people who want to do what they want to do in the privacy of their own home.
So it liberals who are to blame for all the drugs in this country and nothing to with Reagan's "say no to drugs program" which did nothing while he and the CIA made deals with the biggest drug dealers of that day to help support his illegal war.(On April 17, 1986, the Reagan Administration released a three page report acknowledging that there were Contra-cocaine connections in 1984 and 1985)
..You continue to amaze with your ignorance. I am sorry for the loss of your friends however
Sorry to hear this story bill, its very sad. Maybe im confused though. Isnt trying to regulate drugs, just like regulating guns though? People are going to make choices whether we regulate them or not. whether its crack, or people getting high on kitchen ethanol, there going to get it no matter what. Maybe you can enlighten me on this subject or provide more detail on what your advocating in this manner. thanks Bill
The war on drugs is just like "fast, and furious". They say it is designed to help, but really it is intentionally making it worse. It's all a suckers game.
Awesome post Bill. I could have been Marilyn but God had mercy on me. You are right - we can win this war if we get the right people into the government. Thank you for your intelligent videos.. you speak what I think ;) God Bless you!!!
One more thing - my son is also in law enforcement so this hits home too..
My father was in law enforcement for 32 years. We lost two Florida Highway patrolmen that were GOOD friends of our family to murder. One was killed by John Paul Knowles (serial killer). You don't ever "get over" losses like that brother. I'm Thankful YOU got through YOUR career without becoming a statistic. God Bless Bill... You always have a friend here.

hard narcotics will do that but I have yet to hear one single story attributing horrific crimes and death to someone who smokes pot. They are rarely ambitious enough to get off the couch much less to go out and commit crimes on it.
Bill, I can't tell you how this video touched me. I too was a Law enforcement officer and I, like you have seen too much senseless death. Many of those deaths have been people I knew, some of them as friends. I also have know some law enforcement officers who lost thier lives, some to line of duty death and some to other tragic causes. It was very clear to me as you related your story that these deaths touched you deeply. Please know that I understand your feelings and grieve with you.
Thanks for sharing your personal and tragic story Bill...I too [having a mom that is a retired Police officer ] have heard MANY tragic stories-such as these & many w/ tiny children involved as well..Using addictive drugs of any kind LEAD TO OTHER-more HARMFUL drugs,& usually ends in death of the user or of an innocent victim. I stand with you and am NOT in favor of legalizing marijuana or the like.I see how ENABLED folks become/choose NOT to work while on them, and become a liability 2 society!
You are correct Bill. Since alcohol was made legal, look how many deaths happen which are directly attributed to it yearly. Look at the rate of alcoholism in this country…our government thinks that won’t happen with drugs if made legal…dolts!
Bill, those of us that have served our country in law enforcement personally know the evils of illegal drugs. Marijuana is a strong gateway drug without a doubt in my mind. After 27 years seeing the problems caused by legal alcohol, illegal drugs, insanity and stupidity is enough that I have committed my life to God, Family and Country.
Thank you sir for all your simple and pointed videos. America needs more Patriots like you.

@elenanicol I completely agree. Tobacco and alcohol kill more people than all of the drugs combined. Marijuana never killed anyone unless they got stoned and tried to drive. Personal responsibility is what it should be about anyway. The pot did not make her want to use harder drugs. She chose to...and it killed her. Bad decisions abound. People will almost always go to the extremes if their life is screwed up. Believe it or not, it is the lack of of love and understanding that drives them.
@noelsingletary I rather be on the road with 100 stoned drivers around me than ONE drunk driver. The only offense STONED drivers could be charged with is GOING TOO SLOW ... LOL.
I strongly agree that drugs kill people, however, nobody has ever died from a marijuana overdose. Marijuana is a natural substance whereas meth is not. Cocaine is made from the coca plant, is a natural substance, but will kill you dead. Common sense has to be used when outlawing drugs. Marijuana is used for medicinial purposes and there are reams of documentation by science to prove that it is safe. It was the crack that killed Marilyn, not the marijuana. That should have been pointed out.
@elenanicol Ok who gets to say which drug is "good" for you and which is not ? The gooberment ? The only thing that is daft is your comment. Don't even know why I bothered to respond to such a comment. If you can't see that alcohol, prescriptions drugs, illegal drugs ALL alter the mind, no sense for me to comment. Go drink your glass(es) of wine
While I believe the problem is best solved with 1: sound Constitutional (Article 1, Section 8,9 and 10) money and 2: the Fair Tax, we need to increase pressure against drugs with a three pronged approach ADDED TO THE TWO ABOVE:
1. Graphic education regarding the evidence of effects of drugs like crack/meth.
2. Stronger interdiction and effective prosecution and sure PUNISHMENT
Just after the Revolutionary War, we had paper Continentals issued by the states. Inflation was rampant, people's medium of exchange was actually hurting them. There was no hope. People drank whiskey and engaged in prostitution and unrest. The Whiskey Rebellion was all about whiskey taxes. People used whiskey as a medium of exchange as it was something concrete that could be exchanged better than paper. We later coined specie and the problem was solved. Fair Tax: 1st step. 2nd step:Silver coin .
I have one brother dead because of drugs, another has been institutionalized for over 20 years because of drugs and my grandmother was murdered because of drugs. And yet I come up with a COMPLETELY different perspective on the topic of government war on drugs than Bill does. The answer is NOT to expand the govt war on drugs. The answer is to give freedom to people to make their own decisions. This will also reduce gang violence and control. Expanding govt is NOT the answer.
Two observations: 1: I'm older than you, and the names Marilyn & Jack immediately brought back memories of JFK & MM, oh well - you may have known that when you picked the titled, & 2: I have a number of "old age" diseases...including Multiple Myeloma...I been on more medications than you can possibly imagine. If you think Marijuana belongs included in your rant, you Sir are WRONG.
Marijuana is one of nature's most helpful and least toxic of any "medication" I ever had the misfortune to NEED.
@grizzzlyjoe I was wondering if you could, please, tell me WHAT you would NEED marijuana for? You say you are "on more medications than we could possibly imagine"? How about telling us more about your medications. You might want to roar back, "It's none of your beeswax!", however, you are MAKING it our business. WHAT could marijuana possibly do for you that your "more medications than we could possibly imagine" are apparently not doing for you? I am mystified here. Please enlighten me, Sir!
@grizzzlyjoe I was wondering if you could, please, tell me WHAT you would NEED marijuana for? You say you are "on more medications than we could possibly imagine"? @Afrikitty Apparently you are young & healthy. Get back to me when you are 70 & ill. Get back to me when you think you are OLD ENOUGH to make choices for yourself without government intervention.
Marijuana is INNOCUOUS, there has NEVER been a death recorded from it's use. Everything made by big pharma is a synthetic that homo sapien DID NOT EVOLVE with. MOST LEGAL DRUGS are highly toxic.
Don't come to me with pointed questions that are easily answered by opening your mind and your eyes.
@grizzzlyjoe You woud be sorely mistaken, SIR! A man who thinks marijuana is innocuous, is a man who is probably on "more medications than you could possibly imagine" because he knows that "innocuous drug" so well.
I do not speak out of ignorance, Had you taken the time to visit my channel, you might have found out my age - number one, and possibly, what I deal with in my life. You have no clue. I do not usually make it known to the masses.
@grizzzlyjoe Aaaaaahahahahhaaaa, I BET you DID visit my channel, Joe! And if you haven't, I BET you will be all over it like a bad rash. You see, I dared challenge you, you old coot, and now you want to start hurling insults.
"Now, YOU said: "I rather be on the road with 100 stoned drivers around me than ONE drunk driver. The only offense STONED drivers could be charged with is GOING TOO SLOW ... LOL."
These are the words of an old fool, Sir. It is obvious I was correct in my assessment!
@grizzzlyjoe It's OK, Joe, Why do you think I said "Go ahead, make my day!"? I knew you wouldn't be able to resist. You old pot smokers are so predictable.
@grizzzlyjoe YOU said: "Marijuana is INNOCUOUS, there has NEVER been a death recorded from it's use."
You are an ignorant man, GrizzlyJoe! If you HONESTLY believe that NO DEATHS have been recorded from the use of marijuana, then perhaps you are not the 70 year "old" man you say you are.
As I said earlier, marijuana is quite freely available here in the United States of America. What's your problem?
Tragic stories to say the least, but I'm afraid that trying to ban drugs is like the first prohibition. Manufactured drugs like crack might be stopped or significantly slowed if penalties are severe enough. Trying to ban pot, psychedelic toads and such is an exercise in futility. They are as natural as roses and tobacco…put here by God himself. We should decriminalize those drugs and instead punish bad behavior as we do with alcohol (which, by the way, is also a drug).

3. Medical and counseling for first offenders.

Tragic story - demonstrates just how far we have gone into the "ME" generation. Thanks Bill.

GO!

Marijuana, while not legal, is freely available!

@Afrikitty I have NO INTEREST in you or your channel. Now, go away. You know nothing of importance to me.

@grizzzlyjoe Oh, and by the way, Grizzly - Go ahead, make my day! LOL

@grizzzlyjoe It's OK, Joe, Why do you think I said "Go ahead, make my day!"? I knew you wouldn't be able to resist. You old pot smokers are so predictable.
By the way, I OK-ed your comment. LOL

Afrikitty 5 months ago
@grizzzlyjoe I agree completely. I hope you get better soon. God bless you.
