When Mayor Bloomberg ripped out some parking spaces & replaced them with bike lanes,Business in New York were against ,massively overestimating the spending power of people who drove into town. The reality is motorists tend to be suburban family people with a lower disposable income than cyclists, or local residents who walk or take a cab. Even at £8 quid an hour that's a massive subsidy to the motorists, well below market rates. Who's paying for that? Westminster residents of course.
Stop driving you stupid bastards! London has got one of the best public transport systems in the world so there is no need for anyone who lives in Greater London to drive a car.
