  • is there a certian keyboard you need to write in japanese characters? please someone tell me

  • If you have a Windows computer, you need to install the Japanese IME. Go to Microsoft's website and search for 'Japanese IME'. This will allow you to type Japanese. Or if you have Vista, you may be able to go to Control Panel and Regional and Language Options to add a Japanese keyboard.

  • ありがとう

  • Thank you!

  • many thanks

  • Great, thanks!

  • thank u

  • thanks! ^^ About 髪の毛 - can that be shortened to just 髪? And if so, are there any situations in which I would have to use specifically 髪の毛 without shortening it? Just wondering hehe ^^ (rates 5)

  • Good question. I think the difference is 髪 is more 'hair in general' and 髪の毛 is more specific.

So you would find a 髪の毛 in your soup, but you would say someone's 髪 style is nice.

  • hmmm. what do those boxes say? how can anyone know what they say if they are boxes. similiar boxes? dont computer have hiragana or katana characters on them in japan?

  • Öhm, you need to install certain files that makes your computer able to read kana and kanji as an example... I can read japanese cause I installed the bundle in my mac via the installation DVD... I don't know how it works for Windows or Linux though :-P
