  • He is sharing lunch because he still has the bit in. It is customary to drop the bit so they can eat. Saves grain too.

  • "Earmuffs for carriage horses"

Wasn't that one of toni avelas mayoral campain slogans?

aha ha haha, ba haaa !

  • The person below is a liar....please prove one thing you have said. Or go to stopiesseetruth's channel...there are FACTS. Undeniable facts by video evidence. Wheres yours asshole?

  • Don't be suprised at the lack of humour, a lot of these people have trouble finding joy in anything. If you like watch the vids I have posted here if you like them leave them up. They show how our horse live. And yes I have a good sense of humour I"m a carriage driver for God's sake!!

  • I am amazed how this video has attracted so many people without a sense of humor. Yes I feel sorry for the horses forced to be out on our noisy New York streets. No I am not presenting ear muffs as a serious solution.

  • You ERASED my comment. Again. Dont feel sorry for MY horses. They have box stalls, vet ferrier and dental care, vacations, excercise, love affection and healthy lives! Go rescue a horse that is truely abused. Go to the slaughter houses and feel sorry for them. Theres plenty of them in canada and Mexico!

  • I didn't erase your comment. It's on the next page.

  • thats right, go to any auction house and you can pick up a used up nyc carruage horse, especially if you go to New Holland acutions those horse are bought by killer buyers after working so hard for you guys and go to double decker to canada or mexico to a slaughter house. Not saying all the horse are abused and treated bad, maybe out of 10 there is 1 thats treated well.

  • WTF? When have you EVER seen a nyc carriage horse there? We have 3 adoption programs we use, and some of us keep our horses! Why do people say this stuff with NO proof? Look at stopliesseetruths videos of tons of retired carriage horses!

  • yes i did see one there, i don't know what state he was from. As a matter of fact there is one up for adoption if you go to " centralnewenglandequinerescue " then • Ready To Adopt• and then " TEDDY " TEDDY is an 8-9 y.o. Percheron gelding. He was no longer useful to the Boston carriage op/owner so he would be brought to the auction to be sold. he was sold by the lbs. I am not one of those Peta freaks, i dont have a problem with carriage horse, its just the way some are treated i dont like

  • point well taken.

  • I said a NYC carriage horse

  • Just bc some PETArd says something is true, doesnt make it so!

  • believe me i have no respect for those peta freaks, and i have to admire those carriage drivers the way they handle themselves with those moron activists . what will peta go after next? The cops on horse's they also are in the city and deal with alot of traffic and even do crowd control. who's next? The amish? barrel racers? I think these peta folks have way to much time on their hands

  • actually it is the drivers that are aggressive, look at my favorites and you will see them call some tourist faggot for no reason, for attacking pedicab drivers, for overcharging and even harassing people on youtube. check if you don't believe me. All these videos were posed by the victims themselves.

  • I did and that's sad too that's not right. What i don't get is if the city wants the carriage horses why don't they give them ( horses ) some small area to graze. It's not fair for the horse to work all those horses and then head back to the stall, that's not much of a life either.

  • Well, when horsesinnyc harasses and screams at drivers and customers for hours, and THEN takes out her camera to catch the reaction..what do you expect? Every horse gets pasture time, the mounted horses live the same lives as our horses and no one says a damn thing. Actually, we all have box stalls for our horses, the police horses on Varrick st have standing stalls. FACTS.

  • I gotta be honest, they don't really seem that upset about the noise. They seem pretty content. Why is this "an idea whose time has come?" Seems like it would be a waste of money. And many horses are sensitive about their ears. Putting ear plugs in and out all day is really going to affect their temperment, much more so than a siren. As you can see, the noise doesn't seem to affect them very much at all, but poking and prodding their ears every day would have a much more adverse affect.

  • NYC Carriage Horses are licensed, the stables are licensed ,the carriages are licensed and the driver is certified and licensed.Unlike the pedicabs who are none of the above and pay for storage place in 1 of the carriage stables. They shouldn't sh.t where they sleep.

  • Yet another gem from Roxanne. Do any of your points EVER work out for you?

  • Some showjumping horses wear earplugs with little fly bonnets over top, and they are really neat. My horse wears a fly bonnet but no ear plugs. I don't think that carriage horses could wear earplugs, though, because they need to take instruction from their driver, like, giddup and woah.

  • I think they would love some ear muffs . Who wouldn't?

  • They are trained to deal with the noise. Its like all of the 9 million people who live in NYC, if your around it enough, you forget it is even there.
