  • this is exactly how the world government works.

  • If I ever become a CEO I want a board room like that.

  • The Bond movies need more scenes like this.

  • @Bustersword910 That's why they don't exist. Who watches Bond movies today bar idiots?

  • This video was filmed with a banana.

  • Thre was the caretaker of overlook hotel.

  • Do you think that SPECTRE would make sense in a new Bond movie? It's really hard to do now that Austin Powers made so much fun of Blofeld.

  • @monkeysoulpoet

It would work BUT it would depend on who they get to play Blofeld.

Anthony Hopkins would do quite well.

  • @misterprickly Hell Yeah. I would love to see Hopkins, but i can think of a few others. Just not Connery!

  • @monkeysoulpoet

Connery would be AWESOME as Blofeld but only if they work it into the story that he chose that face in order to stick it to MI6.

  • This is what happens when you steal things from work.

  • Thunderball is one of the all time greatest spy movies! And Emilio Largo is by far my favourite Bond film villain!!

  • by chance where is the alternate ones that came out that are in English has anyone else ever heard them. I know i saw them at one time.

  • lol blofeld points the finger at someone who's not guilty and since the culprit has a smug look on his face and thinks he's got away with fucking blofeld over, thats when he gets him. Man who'd wanna be in SPECTRE lool

  • @2Koranteng : You might be surprised

  • News Corp HQ and Blofeld is secretly Murdoch.

  • largo's reaction in priceless

  • The Koch bothers?

  • MEANWHILE AT VALVE

  • Modern boardroom politics.Aheard of their time, really. Notice how legit gov't. agencies use SPECTRE for dirty deeds.

  • Modern boardroom politics.Aheard of their time, really.

  • Another successful Wake County School Board meeting.

  • "Meanwhile At Valve, The TF2 Hats Department, Number 11 was terminated for allowing the hatless update"

  • The best part is when Blofeld electrocutes the operative guilty of embezzlement and it's NOT who we think it is - Largo's reaction is priceless.

  • @STP43FAN1 thats blofeld style. He focuses his attention on a innocent person only to strike down the guilty one when they are off guard.

  • Halliburton meeting.

  • Frigg'in Great!

  • Typical Goldman Sachs briefing...

  • the guy with the cat...that voice...It's George Soros!

  • this is exactly how I run my weekly management meetings :D

  • @farqcue You must have a high turn-over in your organization.

  • They borrowed a lot from the US Chamber of Commerce for this scene.

  • Its the IMF

  • My dad works for a company with an evil CEO and I drew this meeting but with the CEO, my dad, and other employees of the company in it. It was awesome!

  • "The culprit is known to me. I have decided on the appropriate action."

    BUZZ

"Oh, sorry, wrong button. I hate it when that happens."

  • Hey! They edited out Cheney's report to number 1.

  • Largo is unmoved amongst all the other SPECTRE operatives.

  • In the book Blofeld had made an example out of 2 of his operatives before this incident- one he shot though the heart with a thick needle from a compressed air pistol (no mean feat at around 12 paces) and the other he garrotted from behind. He'd divert the attention away from the guilty parties by telling someone else off so as to catch them by surprise. Mildly amusing deaths.

  • @MrGobbledegook you mean Thunderball the book?

  • @iandhr - yes, the book. Blofeld is a big stocky guy with a crew cut. Hope Fiennes pulls it off....oops did I say too much??!

  • lol consultation fee on the british train robbery £250,000 lol

  • I love it how the guy who reads out the problem and thinks he is dead is saved...jesus.Thank god.

  • the best blofeld is this one, the one you never see. much more creepy. The Donald Plesence. The guy from Diamonds are forever was complete joke, dressign as woman, wtf?

  • @Biocreeper1411

I like Telly Sevalas in ON HER MAJESTY'S SECRET SERVICE.

  • @Baldenlong77 he was v.good, and hat film as a whole was a superb Bond :) I would rather have seen George Lazenby play the part of Bond in Diamonds are Forever. Conerery's heart just wasn't in the character at anymore.

  • @Biocreeper1411 Agreed! Diamonds are Forever could have - no - SHOULD HAVE been the ULTIMATE revenge quest, yet all we got was a flabby, bored Connery beating up a couple of poorly-dubbed Fez-wearers in the pre-credits sequence!

  • In the Novel No.9 was killed for rapeing a kidnappé, something a lottle to sinister for the movie.

  • A Builderberg meeting

  • landmark scene. I correctly identified the culprit, too, by the way. He gave himself away by being too cool. This scene, and the "little fish" fed to the sharks scene lead the way in the many landmark scenes from this

  • You should have a few clips with domino as well :-)

  • I wonder where the litter box is? Does Ernst Blofeld scoop or an underling?

  • The Godfather ripped of the impersonation of the Don holding the cat and sitting behind the desk.

  • One of my favorite scene indeed ! :0)

  • A great piece of design. Cold war modern is the style.

  • We need to have Board Meetings like this for those crooks on Wall Street.

  • Largo is one great Villain. A Shark in an Human Body.

  • True badasses.

  • Classic (although, Blofeld doesn't seem like the type that would tolerate tardiness, even from Largo).

This scene works for several reasons. For one, it's made more interesting in that the nervous SPECTRE agent isn't the guilty party. Also, it tells us everything we need to know about Largo's character when he isn't fazed at all by the other agent's execution.

Does anyone else think that Blofeld looks vaguely Asian behind the glass?

  • @jksonny Blofeld singled out #11to catch #9 off guard. The same thing happened in the novel, with the guilty man sweating, making the electrocution even worse. In the novel, SPECTRE was composed of criminals (Mafia, Union Corse and Highland Turks) and Agents (Gestapo, SMERSH and the Yugoslavian Secret Police); they were all like Largo.

  • Number 10 played Andre the chef in the Fawlty Towers episode 'Gourmet Night'

  • Surprised they didn't shoot it out for his parking spot.

  • very good

  • From: Spectre is a.... (1:46) to till the guy gets electrocuted and the music after that, i had as my voicemail.

  • Its like the Bilderberg meeting

  • If the dutch royal family is a part of it, i don't take that organisation is a real threath. I think the Skull and Bones fraternity of the Yale university is a much more powerfull society.

  • Yes youre right. This meeting is just like the real meeting of the Skull and bones alumni.

Yes thats more like it. The Graduating class of Yale, 1950. lol

  • @2ndltalfredludlow: How do you do that?

  • @Neville6000 Very simple: I just didn't spoke the usually (this is the mobile phone of ....... leave your comment after the beep) thing, instead of saying my name i used this clip(but a higher quality). I just played (very loud)it when i had to spoke into my voicemail, you can do it with every audio if you want. Only this clip has a low audio quality, so i don't think it will work with this one.

  • whatever the problems it'd be good if they could bring Blofeld back in the new series - they could pump it up a bit by giving him like a white tiger as a pet instead of an old moggy !

  • Yeah but they can't due to the copyrights.

  • Tough board meeting.

  • This is one of the few good scenes from Thunderball, the other being the health spa. I quite like how they deal with embezzlement in SPECTRE, maybe we should introduce it for cheating MPs in England lol.

  • Or to failing US Corporations!

  • Siamese fighting fish, fascinating creatures. Brave but of the whole stupid. Yes they're stupid. Except for the occasional one such as we have here who lets the other two fight. While he waits. Waits until the survivor is so exhausted that he cannot defend himself, and then like SPECTRE... he strikes!

  • Is this a board meeting headed by Steve Jobs?

  • could be, i always assumed it was more a caricature of cheney when he was still officially with haliburton. only i'm sure the board meetings weren't as cool as this.

  • @TedShatner10 No, George Soros!

  • my fav. is of couse rosa klebb :D

  • LARGO: "Of course. Vargas does not drink... does not smoke... does not make love. What do you do, Vargas?

Every man has his passion, mine is fishing."

  • Notice how Vargas hangs his head in shame. Was that perhaps a slight gay taunt?

  • Regarding Vargas hanging his head in shame, Yes, I always did wonder about that. I think the writer and director leaves the answer in the mind of the viewer.

  • the man sitting in as Blofeld was actor Anthony Dawson who played Professor Dent in Dr No. and the 'voice of doom' was dubbed by Dr No himself: Joseph Wiseman...

i think this is one of John Barry's finest Bond scores... excellent.

  • #5 looks like the same actor who played Delbert Grady in The Shining. As for # 11, I guess you could say that #1 "corrected" him.

  • Philip Stone is the actor's name and yes, he played both SPECTRE #5 and the Ghost of Grady. As well as in many Kubrick films.

  • lol!

  • This organization does not tolerate failure

  • Is he going to ask for

    ONE MILLION DOLLARS

    ?

  • Lol! If you see closely you can see that blofeld has hair tough he is not supposed to have that until diamonds are forever!

  • the guy who plays blowfled in from russia with love and this movie thunderball is prof dent from dr no but sumbody else does the voice over

  • Largo turns up late, shows no fear or want for authority and only villain ever to kick Bond's ass in a fist fight. Largo ROCKS!! Best Bond Villain Ever.

  • Oh yeah, this happens all the time during meetings.

  • marioava1108, you took the words right out of my month

  • I loved these evil organizations, stuff like this part just makes you want to join them, electrocution chairs be damned.

  • lol, my parents love to tell me that when I was a wee lad I wanted to be a James Bond villain when I grew up, as opposed to a firefighter or astronaut as most young boys wanted to be.

btw, Red Grant was pretty awesome SPECTRE operative.

  • yea he was, probably the only badguy that was as cool as bond. it's a good dream to grow up with your own villain lair and a pet cat.

  • That vibraphone playing in the score right after #9 is eliminated is awesome and mysterious and it goews great with Largos "oh well" expression

  • LOL@ largo's nonchalant expression while #9 was being eliminated. blofeld is coldblooded.

  • In the novel, it was even worse. Blofeld electrocuted one of the members over a petty issue and then left the body at the table while they discussed new business.

  • I liked Largo's expression too. He even crosses something out on a sheet of paper. It's probably the name of that guy on his Christmas card list.

  • LOL!

  • Im not sure if that is him. I never minded Blofeld with hair. Charles Grey will always have a special place in my heart when he played the big man in Diamonds are Forever.

  • I liked Grey's portrayal as well. He did a good job.

  • ha ha ha... what a weak blofeld... him in drag... which wasnt hard to believe... charles rocky horror picture show grey seemed more comfortable nancing around in an english garden.

trivia wise: blofeld's voice was done by joseph wiseman (dr no's voice of doom)... and another dr no alumni, anthony dawson (professor dent) was the man sitting behind the screen.

  • Hey!!! Is # 5 Grady from The Shining??!! Anyone know?

  • Yes, #5 is Philip Stone, the same one who played Grady in The Shining.

  • BTW that was a joke for all the Bond Freaks. I hate how Blofeld has hair here.

  • LOL, I was just waiting for Dr. Evil to pop out

  • Its the New World Order global banking elite fictionalized.

  • #9 is the one killed....but Ernst took enjoyment in watching #11 sweat it out.

  • largo has 2 right hand men, vargas is one, what happens to the other?

  • @warholston1 Here are some of the most important rules when you're in SPECTRE: Never cross Blofeld, and do not commit embezzlement. However, when you're a double agent working for MI6 like 007, it's okay to cross Blofeld at any time you like..

  • was it #9 or #11 who got killed?

  • 9...the one who was relaxed and confident that he wouldnt get caught

  • To the penny Number One

  • thats something that needs to come back to the movies, menacing villains only identified by voice!

  • Badass bunch of big balled terrorists, is SPECTRE!

  • I wonder if that was Joseph Wiseman as Blofeld's voice here... it is chillingly reminiscant to Dr. No's voice.

  • Officially, they say Eric Pohlmann did the voice and Anthony Dawson was the body stand-in, for this film and for Russia With Love.

Despite this, there are rumors that Joseph Wiseman did the voice.

  • Yeah I remember them saying it was Eric Pohlman, but if you listen to Pohlman in FRWL and then here, there is a distinct difference in tone, it sounds much more like Wiseman... but then again, it might be the robotic voice synthesizer that Blofeld is using to muffle his voice.

  • I just love how Largo's all "Meh" when the guy gets electrocuted.

  • Someone was putting the movie up, but quit it half way.

  • NO ONE STEALS FROM SPECTRE!

  • At the firm I used to work at, they would pull up a similar map of the world and report on their latest projects. It always brought this scene to my mind... Life imitates art, or vice versa.

  • Number 5 played in a lot of Stanley Kubrik movies. And in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.

  • That was Phillip Stone.

  • He also played the archbishop of Canterbury in "The Medusa touch".

  • I love SPECTRE as you can see my name has the name in it

  • "Look what you did to Mr. Bigglesworth!"

  • It's a Huge Shame I been a 007 since 2nd grade [I loved the game Goldeneye] lol it was funny I didn't understand the plots at all expect for a few which were pretty basic but even my grandpa had to explain em to me. I just watched em cause of the chars from the video game But I became hooked lol when I was in 5th grade I wanted to write a letter to mgm Kinda a kid thing and say Bring Blofeld Back But Now i understand why they can't its a shame their wasting one of the best villains of all time

  • Simple way to Cover that Stunt.

People say You Can't Bring em back he died in For your eyes only.

Well Just say that the one in the wheelchair was a clone [If you seen Diamonds are forever] It would Work Perfectly.

I think that he should be Brought back.

He's One of my favorite villains of all time [maybe my favorite] he's up their with Lex Luthor and The Joker.

  • I totally agree with you, but I like said previously they, the producers, no longer own the rights for him or Spectre.....sad. He really is one of the most iconic villains of all time, second to only Darth Vader in that regard.

  • I heard about that and its most unfortune there wasting one of the greatest villains of all time.

  • AFAIK , they bought the rights back....McClory is dead now anyway.

  • I'm a fan of the pussycat!

  • Blofeld should be brought back in the James Bond moives don't you think? I mean they never named that bald guy that fell in that smokestack. Maybe it was a Blofeld double.

  • it would be wonderful to have him back, but the current producers lost the rights to Blofeld and SPECTRE, hence Never Say Never Again, and the unnamed bold guy in the wheelchair, totally sucks.

  • This is great!

    love blofeld

  • Largo and Blofeld are the two most AWESOME Villains!!

  • Blofeld was so damn awesome.

  • Emilio Largo, a very memorable villain with his trademark eye- patch and his notorious SPECTRE Octopus ring, including his swimming pool full of sharks

  • Love Largo, and his ring..which is worn by Volpe and Blofeld a few times throughout the series. Im getting a tattoo of the octopus in the ring...freakin love it!

  • it was actually a vienese actor named Eric Pohlmann, but it would have been so much cooler as joseph weissman, seeing as how anthony dawson (professor dent in doctor no) played blofeld in this one

  • If you're listening carefully, you can hear that it is the voice of Joseph Wiseman who played the first bond villian Doctor No

  • you are correct, he was also the voice in From Russia...

  • I LOVE BLOFELD! He's so sinister! and evil!

  • Largo is my favorite Bond villian. Thank you for posting this great scene.

As Largo has said, "Every man has his passion".

  • Your welcome, I love it too. I remember quoting these lines when I was a kid...my parents always thought that was weird lol.

  • very interesting

  • Long time Bond fan, and this is possibly my favorite scene of the whole series.

  • Good stuff
