one thing that is not understood by people is that the coffee bean doesn't make the value of a cup of coffee but the brand name on the cup. As they say when you ask for a cup of water "they have to charge for the cup". The coffee beans used may only make up for a small portion of that three dollars.

the coffee crisis is in itself and argument against biofuels. The nascent biofuel bubble is bursting as we speak. There are unprecedented food shortages. The World Bank is freaking out. British officials are saying biofuels will destroy the earth.
